Odds and Ends of the Day

Idiot CNN Democrat Media Operative (but I multiply repeat myself) think the poem on the Statue of Liberty is the legal basis for American Immigration policy. As a matter of law, ‘American Colossus’ has about the same legal standing as the ‘Meow Mix’ jingle.

Acosta’s idiot Democrat Media colleagues shout in their echo chamber that pointing out the historical fact that the poem was added to the statue later (and still has no legal bearing on US Immigration policy) is white supremacist talk.

Considering the gay dude who invented the poke and became a billionaire failed to buy a New York House seat for his husband, do you think Mark Zuckerberg has a shot at buying the presidency? Apparently, he’s hiring the people who steered Hillary Clintons successful (snort) campaign.

Speaking of election, apparently half the people running for mayor in Detroit (New Mogadishu) are convicted felons.

Also, Paul Joseph Watson says what we were all thinking about JK Rowling. (Note, this video came out before her self-serving “I only said it because I am a wonderful person who is SO SUPER SENSITIVE to the needs of the disabled” fauxpology.)

Finally, nice to see that even leftist “Funny or Die” recognizes the idiocy of 35 years of Government nutrition policies.

Straight Men Who Have Sex With Other Men…

… are not actually straight, despite what this silly dingbat says.

On that note, given that gays are obsessive about classifying people, why isn’t there, in the gay lexicon, a cute animal-type word for a gay guy who’s just a regular gay guy. (Or maybe there is). There’s a word for big hairy guys (Bears), a word for skinny, hairy guys (Otters), a word for … well, we all know what twinks are. But just a regular guy who is same-sex attracted but otherwise normal, is there a word for that?

Also, men do not have babies. Full stop. No matter how much the deranged left-wing media tries to gaslight you into believing otherwise.

Mr. President, enough about the stock market!

Sorry to repeat myself, but President Trump keeps hitting the idea that the stock market is making new highs and the media should talk about it. I could post video but, just to keep it text-y, here are Twitter examples from the last couple of days:

Aug 1 – Stock Market could hit all-time high (again) 22,000 today. Was 18,000 only 6 months ago on Election Day. Mainstream media seldom mentions!

Jul 31 – Highest Stock Market EVER, best economic numbers in years, unemployment lowest in 17 years, wages raising, border secure, S.C.: No WH chaos!

Big mistake. Why?

  • Candidate Trump understood that the stock market was a Fed-inflated bubble.
  • Candidate Trump understood that the unemployment numbers are fake and disguise the ongoing suffering of Middle America.
  • If President Trump is now tying his reputation to those numbers, what happens when they reverse?

The stock market IS overvalued, and WILL go down eventually, if only for “cyclical” reasons. Maybe down a lot. What happens then?

Consider that Switzerland’s central bank is now a huge holder of U.S. stocks First…Why? Why would they be in the business of propping up the U.S. stock market? Second…What happens when they change their minds, and sell?

Of Shopping Carts and Respect for Societal Norms

There are two kinds of people in the world; people who return their grocery carts to the corral, and people who just leave them wherever. (Or steal them. Down the street from a large supermarket in my town, there’s an apartment complex where a lot of immigrants from low-trust society countries live, and there are always piles of shopping carts in front.)

I actually go a step further, I grab my cart from the corral on the way *into* the store, to spare some poor high school kid having to schlep it back in on a hot day. (And it’s always a boy; there are no feminists screeching for gender equality when it comes to dragging on shopping carts on a 90 degree August day.) I don’t get why everybody doesn’t just do that. It’s just more efficient. Sometimes I even pause to straighten out the other carts a bit, but that’s just me.

And this guy agrees with me. People who return carts properly are demonstrating concern for others and contributing to an orderly society. People who just leave their carts wherever (or steal them) are demonstrating pure selfishness. And, to me, laziness and stupidity.

Americans Identify Democrats as Party of Big Government

That is to say, 61% of the public sees the Democrat Party accurately.

The Pew survey, conducted this summer among a national sample of 2,504 adults 18 years of age or older, found that 61 percent of Americans see the Democratic Party as too government-centered, believing that the state should be the only recourse for solving problems in society.

Yes, the Democrats support a massive nanny state where the lives of the common people are micromanaged by bureaucrats and the elites are exempted. Public education is a perfect example; everyone else is sentenced to mediocrity while the elite use private schools. They want health care to work the same way.

Democrats, (and far too many Republicans, unfortunately), love the idea of a ‘Nanny State.’ They hear nanny, and they imagine a pleasant woman taking care of the children, which is how they see the voters. Also, a lot of nannies are illegal immigrants. Democrats love illegal immigrants; one of their most reliable voting blocs. Not like those icky white working class people with their boring food and desire for meaningful jobs.

Conservatives hear ‘Nanny State’ and imagine a British au pair shaking a baby to death so it doesn’t have to hear it crying.
