Two of these options would be useless at best and fatal at worst. Is that the point they were trying to get across?

  1. I sooo really wonder which point they were trying to get across.

Must be something reaaally new in thousands of years.

Or only ever since the late 60s maybe?

    Go figure.

  2. “It doesn’t matter who you click with.”

They may have forgotten to add:

“It certainly does matter if you don’t click with *us*, though, you evil bigots.”

  3. Are they not also suggesting there are only two genders? How terrible.

  5. If you expect the safety belt to do its job, it does matter who you click with… Idiots. Of course this is the same country that has capitulated to Islam, so there is that too…

  6. From clubs to social media sites to corporations to big government.

Forget all that talk about the “information age” after the “industrial age”.

Dunno about you, but here it feels (*) a lot more like the “virtue signalling of the bullies age”.

What’s next? Find a way to virtue signal from one of the rings of Saturn, for all the outer space aliens to see, or something?

    (*) pun intended

  7. If that continues, in 10 years from now, I’m gonna end up to *vice*-signal.

    In reaction.

And if only to (selfishly) keep my own mental sanity.

  8. Two of those options don’t ACTUALLY click… unless you are two children slapping them like swords… then its just a lot of clashing that drives mom insane.

  9. Typical of when the art-department doesn’t ask engineering first, …and “the committee” didn’t catch the conceptual-fail since it’s primarily accountant-types. Legal was consulted though, to ensure no laws were broken.*
Considering the junk being produced today, obviously a common corporate occurrence.

  10. This makes the opportunity for an endless supply of satisfying variations of theirs, btw.

    Eg, at random:

“It doesn’t who you rape / stab / truck-smash / gun down / blow up.

    Happy #PrideShariaLaw.”

  11. (I leave the picture as an exercise to the reader’s imagination. Or, if too lazy a reader, to his/her/xe/ze/schnurtz(?!) cursory review of the last decade’s european news, alright.)

    Really it, doesn’t.

  13. Careful, RDA, people pointing out that two of these seatbelt configurations is safe could result in SJWs claiming that you don’t care about the deaths of gay and lesbian individuals due to HIV or something ridiculous.

  14. Typical of when the art-department doesn’t ask engineering first […]

I’m guessing their ad agency was tasked with coming up with an insert-at-will pride campaign and so their creative team (all right-brained types) brainstormed and came up with this über clever idea (among others), which then went to the client, through all of the above departments and into to communications department—all without passing by an engineer type. Hey, we’re Dutch and it’s all good. Betcha this would have never happened at someplace like Lufthansa.

  15. I wouldn’t be so confident. In Eurokanzler Merkel’s Deutschland under Brussel’s suzerainty, Luftwaffe Lufthansa isn’t what it used to be…

  16. Wasn’t it in Airplane where a passenger had two of the same and simply tied the two in a knot?

  17. I’ve been noticing businesses stating “LGBT Friendly” in their pamphlets and on their websites too. I guess it’s more about marketing (beating the competition to saying this first) and also anti-lawsuit insurance (for when a mere employee makes a faux-pas, all that has to be done is fire them publicly instead of giving them a warning or just a bad review).

NOT virtue-signalling can be bad for bottom lines these days. I wonder how long this game will go on and how awesome it will get as it develops.

    Comment by RGB — August 10, 2017 @ 1:38 pm - August 10, 2017

  18. If you feel it necessary to state that you are LGBT friendly, you are speaking only to two group:

    1) LGBT who make up less than 3% of the population, and

    2) Liberal haters who see anyone who doesn’t cowtow to the liberal agenda as racists/sexists/homophobic/islamophobic/special-group-of-the-day-phobic.

The first, honestly, should not need the special invitation, and the second I would rather discourage from patronizing me.
