This Is Not the Way We Have Been Told It Was Supposed to Work

A twelve year old boy in Australia told his parents he was “transgendered” and wanted to be a girl. So, doing what enlightened progressive parents are supposed to do, they started him on hormone therapy to begin chemically mutilating his body into a crude facsimile of the opposite sex. What happened next was not supposed to happen.

An Australian schoolboy who decided to transition into a female has changed his mind two years later.

At just 12-years-old, Patrick Mitchell, begged with his mother to begin taking oestrogen hormones after doctors diagnosed him with gender dysphoria — a condition where a person experiences distress because there is a mismatch between their biological sex and gender identity.

After heeding advice from professionals who suggested that it was right choice, his mother was fully supportive and Mitchell began to transition.

He grew out his hair and started to take the hormones, which caused his body to grow breasts. But two years on, Mitchell had a change of heart.

In the beginning of 2017, teachers at school began to refer to him as a girl which triggered Mitchell to question if he had made the right decision.

“I began to realise I was actually comfortable in my body. Every day I just felt better,” he told Now To Love.

Maybe the caring adults in this kid’s life should have sought out mental health resources to help learn to love and accept his physical body. Gender dysphoria is, after all, a condition of the mind, not the body.

Especially among children, whom adults don’t trust to make any serious life choices unless there is a sexual proclivity attached to them. Adults don’t trust children to take an Ibuprofen tablet when they have a headache; but they are allowed unrestricted access to abortions and body altering hormones.

Transgenderism, uniquely among identity disorders, is treated by indulging the delusions of the person that their body is something other than it really is. We don’t treat people who feel they should be disabled by disabling them. We don’t treat anorexic people by helping them starve. We don’t treat people who think they’re Joan of Arc by burning them at the stake.

I think the  reason… the reason no one will admit to… is because unlike those other disorders, transgenderism is considered sexy and kinky. I have no proof, it’s just a feeling. Progressives identify with transsexuals because it seems like a kinky fetish. They’re into that.

And there are real world consequences to treating transgender dysmorphia like a disorder of the body instead of the mind. Suicide rates among post-operative transgendered people attest to this. But the point is, progressive societies are less concerned with helping people with body identity disorders than they are about feeling good about their feelings… and getting turned on.

  1. Also, because they are Malthusian in their outlook, anything that causes sterilization is a GOOD THING.

  2. I know that most people don’t understand issues of sexuality not immediately related to their own orientation, unless there is an actual effort on their part, which may include motivations of friendship, family or unbiased clinical concern. This also applies to mental health, in most cases, a totally different & unrelated issue to sexual preference.

The Left’s fairness-police have corralled gays & everyone else on the Left into thinking they have everyone’s best interests in mind. They do not. They’ve politicized a small issue among a minority of people. Thereby creating mass hysteria over all this. Which has nothing to do with being gay, being fair to gays or promoting fairness in treatment towards gays individually or as a general demographic. The result of their effort is proving, predictably deadly & harmful.

I know V’s suspicions are a correct pointer at the ignorance of these supposed do-gooders. How do I know this? Because commonsense tells me so. Because I understand the diversity of mankind & I do not clump everyone into separate boxes so that I can patronize them, coddle them into voting the way that pleases me.

People ::are:: different. The psychiatric community is complicit in this dreadful issue, perhaps as a way of making good their former, primitive & despicable labeling of gays in the past as being divergent, queer & unnatural. But it does make you wonder at the clinical community’s actual wherewithal when they do link confusion about one’s sex to sexual orientation. It tells me that they don’t know what they’re doing, they’ve never known what they’re doing & their methods & treatments in all sorts of issues are wrong & harmful. I do not come to this conclusion because of knee-jerk I-hate-shrinks scientology-Tom-Cruise-like cult propaganda. It’s just commonsense, if you think about it. I can barely stand the arrogance of the purely medical community in their dogmatic approach to everything under the sun like broken knees to diabetes. The inexact science of shrinking the brain down to something that can be understood is just a joke. I know, I’m getting into the weeds with all this now, but you get my point.

None of this is, in reality, connected to gays, straights or bisexuals & there’s something to be said for spanking a little boy that plays with dolls.

On a separate note, ibuprofen is a stroke risk. That’s an FYI. Do Tylenol if you know what’s good for you. See? there are a few actual, beneficial tips you can glean from our wonderful hospital establishment. Albeit, few & far between.

  3. One of my many issues of adding the “T” to “LGBT” and claiming or acting like they are all part of the same spectrum is that the LGB component only has to do with the matter of to whom one is attracted, but the “T” is something completely different.

During the big push for gay marriage, the activists of Gay, Inc. liked to use the refrain that they were “born this way” and that therefore people just had to learn to accept them and their relationships. They also liked to say “God doesn’t make mistakes.”

By the same logic, though, it would stand to reason that Transgender people must also be “born this way,” then that means that they are born with this particular challenge that they need to learn to deal with the reality that they are one sex and that they identify with the other gender. And if “God doesn’t make mistakes,” it would stand to reason that that doesn’t mean taking hormones or going through risky surgeries.

  4. God doesn’t make mistakes, it’s true.

But man does, and that’s fine… up to some extent:

    Errare humanum est. Perseverare diabolicum.

  5. Transgender dysmorphia can actually be a manifestation of a physiological issue — as happened to an acquaintance of mine who came out as TG when, in their mid 40s (about the age of menopause), their body began to spontaneously feminize. Some years later, a diagnosis — or at least a classification — of adrenal hyperplasia was made for that case.

In the present climate, though, the number of fashion victims will likely way outnumber the few cases of bizarre biochemistry.

  6. Hopefully, the writers behind this soap opera will finally script this child into a sea of amnesia from which he can awaken and not believe a word of what people are trying to tell him about his gender inversion past.

Being supportive does not have to require aiding and abetting. When the time arrives for a Chopadickoffomie, it would seem that the medical professionals would be closer to “nope” than “hope.” This whole area of medicine is not about curing. There should be a specialty of Psychiatric Surgery which is limited to cutting and sewing to assist a “cure” by lessening mental stress. It would be akin to cosmetic plastic surgery. So, if a person needs to have a foot turned 180º in order to achieve happiness, the Psychiatric Surgeon is the go-to technician.

  7. So he decided to switch back when teachers started calling him a girl… but isn’t this what he actually wanted to start with? This sounds like a marvellous revelation of how freaking stupid this “trans” frenzy is.

Hopefully he hasn’t (hormonally) battered his testicles into complete ruination already.

  8. I say this all the time: feelings change, facts don’t.

This is insanity. Adults in this kid’s life should be watching out for him, not indulging him. I used to be worried about Western civilization, but realize it’s all of humanity that’s in the toilet…with the hand on the handle…and you can hear that trickle starting just before the full flush…

  10. I have a feeling, that most people claiming to be ‘trans’ are like most of the people claiming to be ‘gluten intolerant’. In a tiny number, its a real, physical thing. For most, its the latest bandwagon to hop on.

  11. Also you don’t hear anything about munchausen by proxy syndrome anymore where parents were harming their children to get attention, sympathy, “fame”, and accolades of how brave the parents were in their supporting devotion to their child (all the while the parents were feeding their kid draino).

I believe these same parents have latched on to the whole trans theory, where they can get their time in the spot light but not get nailed by the police and jailed. Also, I have noticed Lesbians that have children and end up with boys seem to be big on their boy child really wants to be a girl and have his penis cut off. It would be kinder if the just selectively aborted by gender so they could have the girl they wanted.

I agree with #10 comment that this is going to turn and turn badly once one of the abused children hits adulthood and takes a legal stand against the abuse they were put through with the Leftist societies squeeeeeing approval.

  13. It’s spoiled millennials who were raised on the belief that they were special realizing that they actually aren’t and trying to find a group that they can join to make themselves feel unique.

Unique is ubiquitous. Each reproducing couple carry the ability to produce more genetically unique offspring than there will probably ever be actual people born. We need to stop telling our kids “You’re special.” and say “You are no more unique than everybody else.”

Erm, what? I would think that punishing a boy for acting in a girly way creates a risk of encouraging gender dysphoria — i.e., rather than desisting from playing with dolls, he internalizes the idea that he’s really a girl.

For me it was the Lone Ranger and Tonto. For some reason Tonto could never manage to keep his pants on (I forget if he even owned a shirt, just some kind of YMCA open-chested suede vest).
