Working on it. For several days, it has been painful to type. Sorry guys!
UPDATE: It will need surgery. It will be fine. Thanks for all of your well-wishes!
I’ll be a one-handed typist for some weeks. (Which is slower than it sounds, because of the extra typos you make.)
Glad you weren’t done in by some weather crisis. (I hope there’s a good story–invent if you have to, please.) And (we and) I hope for a speedy healing.
Hang in there, buddy!
Regards,
Peter H.
LOL maybe a “hold my beer” story.
Oh man. Let me share. I broke my ankle in late December of 2014. ever since I have had chronic pain. Finally, a month ago I had what is called a “tightrope” removed (something placed into my ankle to help it heal), and for the very first time in almost three years I have zero pain in ankle.
BUT. Rounding a corner in my home I broke my pinkie toe on our coach. So now I am limping and getting around like I was previously. IT SUCKS and I FEEL YOUR PAIN.
I second the “…Glad you weren’t done in by some weather crisis.” I’ve been glued to the cable-box watching the Hurricane Porn as much as the next-guy, but;
…I’ve started to feel “prepper’s panic” myself; checking batteries, dbl-checking the portable generator, restocking the bottled water, etc. “Where did I leave the emergency radio? I can’t find it.” We’re on high flat farmland 60-ft above the River and far enough from the ‘barbarians’ and the trolls that I figure I can shelter-in-place with my elderly, partially-infirmed father unless the house actually takes a direct-hit. And I have several blood-kin within 10-miles. Summer or Winter I’m good for at-least a week as-long as I can intermittently-run the generator; well-pump, freezers, some lights. There’s still a 1/2-cord in the woodshed, and 25,000 gallons in the pool for flush-toilet, etc.
I’m also planning to buy the 2-way radios going on-sale Sunday at the ALDI.
What? …Me Worried?
Oh no! So sorry to hear that. Take good care. Hands are complex. Please don’t push it. Sending prayers…
Oh so, that was that… Wishing you the promptest recovery possible!
Get well soon…
Or learn to type with your other hand. 🙂
I just hope it wasn’t “that” hand.
Maybe this is a good time to test voice typing.
So I imagine you were walking down the street, minding your own business, when an Antifa thug came at you with a bike lock. Stepping quickly to the side, you b-slapped thier butt through a Democratic Party storefront window, taking out a BLM poster with it.
Hope things heal quickly.
Get well soon, we missed your insight. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
Dragon, dictation option
Wow, sorry to hear about that. Sounds like a pain, and surgery is never a fun option. I can’t resist asking “Wha’ Happened?” Perhaps you’ll fill us in on details when you can type more.
My prayers for your successful surgery. Wrecked my fingers a number of years ago, it is very painful.
Hoping for a speedy recovery! I have been missing ya!
Hi ILoveCapitalism,
Sorry to hear that you had this misfortune.
I hope your recovery is quick and as pain-free as possible.
Be well,
Cas
Get well soon!!!
Speedy recovery.

Generators run out of fuel quick. A sleeping bag rated for as cold as it gets in winter outside for each person, a solar battery charger, and a 8 man tent version of
https://www.uvpaqlite.com/the-uv-paqlite-1.html will go a long way toward prepping. You can get 5 gallon buckets of nitrogen packed mylar sealed rice/ beans at decent prices to extend your emergency food supply. They also make small well buckets you can drop down your well, if you don’t want to drop the money for a backup manual well.
I know I will regret it if I make it to my 80s but I am glad hitting concrete was part of martial arts training, seeing how many people get boxers fractures.
