Let the men into the ladies room, they said. What could possibly go wrong, they said.

A Wyoming man who identifies as a transgender woman is on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in a bathroom.

The trial for Miguel Martinez, who goes by the name Michelle, began on Monday, the Billings Gazette reported. Martinez allegedly invited the young girl into the bathroom with him where he allegedly fondled the girl’s breasts and genitalia, before penetrating her.

Has anyone else noticed how, when a transgender person gets in trouble or gets vocal about something, xe or xhe is always really unattractive? That’s not to say that I am some Adonis, but good grief…couldn’t they get some better looking people to represent them? Seriously…

A now-11-year-old girl testified Monday that a friend of her family entered the bathroom of her house in Casper in March and sexually assaulted her, she said in Natrona County District Court.

The girl, who now lives outside Wyoming, gave her halting testimony during the first day of the trial of Miguel Alberto Martinez, who identifies as female and is also known as Michelle. (Featured in the photo above)

Martinez, who was 30 when arrested, faces one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a child and one count of second-degree sexual abuse of a child. If convicted on both counts, Martinez could face between 25 and 70 years of imprisonment.

Martinez pleaded not guilty in May and remains in custody on $100,000 bond.
The girl told the jurors, District Attorney Mike Blonigen and Judge Catherine Wilking she came home from school on March 23 while her mother was cooking and several friends were at her mother’s and step-dad’s residence.

She went upstairs to get a book, went into the bathroom and closed but did not lock the door. She was pulling up her pants when Martinez came in without knocking, she said while being questioned by District Attorney Mike Blonigen.

rusty has a point. It was not a public restroom, it was a family home, the victim knew her assailant.

    It’s still a bad idea.

I was assured that the idea that transgendered people would commit sexual assault was preposterous.

    Tar. Feathers. Repeat as needed…

    “…her mother’s and step-dad’s residence.”

Why does this not surprise me…

It should be easy to vet these people. Show them the appropriate erotic materials and see if, whatever they call it now, gets hard. If it does, sorry – no free pass to the women’s shower room.

“Martinez allegedly invited the young girl into the bathroom with him”

    is not consistent with

“She was pulling up her pants when Martinez came in without knocking”

    Just saying.
