Everybody But Trump Was Colluding with Russia

Pretty much.

“Everyone is colluding with Russia except Trump,” Mark Steyn said. “You’ve got the Podesta Group, you’ve got the Hillary campaign, you’ve got the DNC, you’ve got the FBI, you’ve got Christopher Steele, who you credit as an ex-MI6 agent. He’s not just any old ex-MI6 agent, he’s the head of the Russia desk at MI6, which is a pretty big deal.”

The funny thing is… now that Hillary has been caught colluding with Russia on both the Pee-Pee Dossier and the Uranium One deal… the Democrat Media Complex has suddenly decided that it’s no big deal to be colluding with Russia. Russian influence on American politics can now be added to the Neverending List of Things That Are OK When Democrats Do It.

A few short weeks ago, the word the left used for colluding with the Russians to change the outcome of an election was “treason.”  Now, they’re calling it “Opposition Research.” And Clinton campaign operatives are bragging about it.

Brian Fallon, the Clinton campaign’s national press secretary and now a CNN political contributor, tweeted Tuesday that he wasn’t aware of the connection between the campaign and the dossier authored by Steele, but “if I had, I would have volunteered to go to Europe and try to help him.”
“I have no idea what Fusion or Steele were paid but if even a shred of that dossier ends up helping (Justice Department special counsel Robert) Mueller, it will prove money well spent,” he tweeted.

Update: Hillary Clinton: “Dossier? What dossier? You mean, like, with a cloth?

Update: If laws applied to the Clintons, the Clinton campaign would have broken Federal Election Laws by not disclosing the purpose of their payments to Fusion GPS.

  4. The left is saying Trump Jr. did the same when he sought dirt on Hillary offered by a Russion. The difference is Trump Jr. admitted what he did immediately. The Clinton Campaign tried to hide what they did. I’d like to know why they thought what they did needed to be kept a secret.

Predictably. Tediously. And in his new passive-aggressive imitation-of-Cas style.

  6. the Clinton campaign and the dnc have said that trump colluded with the Russians to get elected. so the Clinton campaign and the dnc paid millions of dollars to the same people they claim were colluding with trump against Hillary. just who did the dnc and Hillary’s campaign want to get elected?

  7. I’m sure CCP will continue to whine that not enough sourcing or backup to statements has been given. As if the Liberals civilians on the right, like CCP, would know what a factoid is when presented to them.

Even as their favorite dummy head false narrative is collapsing, people like CCP, will continue to insist that the barrage of Lies is still working, when it hasn’t worked at all and nobody cares!

The civilians on the left are all dupes and what they want doesn’t matter, it hasn’t mattered since the election! And what they say means nothing.

I wondered when someone was going to make note of this. It’s like having two salt shakers, one filled with salt and the other filled with sugar and having to look very closely to tell them apart.

Just another of CrapCrap’s tedious, adolescent attempts to get under my skin. It’s of a piece with his constant insinuations about my personal life, and the more recent jabs at how I dress. It’s how middle school girls try to intimidate other middle school girls.

  13. Notice the lack of comments by rusty, lil letter mike, Cas and CCP. Speaks volumes. Of course they are obsessed with the minutia of Trump tweets. Good. The distraction is working, just not the way the DNC and the media had hoped.

  14. Love you, TnnsNe1. Are you saying that CrayCrayPatriot are Siamese twins? How cool is that! Hey, what about the fact that conservatives first started this ball rolling by using Fusion GPS services first. How cool is that!

The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website funded by a major Republican donor, first hired the research firm that months later produced for Democrats the salacious dossier describing ties between Donald J. Trump and the Russian government, the website said on Friday.

The Free Beacon, funded in large part by the New York hedge fund billionaire Paul Singer, hired the firm, Fusion GPS, in 2015 to unearth damaging information about several Republican presidential candidates, including Mr. Trump. But The Free Beacon told the firm to stop doing research on Mr. Trump in May 2016, as Mr. Trump was clinching the Republican nomination. Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee had begun paying Fusion GPS in April for research that eventually became the basis for the dossier.

Just muddying the tidy little narrative that you got going there. I wonder how much of the dossier had already been worked up by Fusion GPS for the WFB? Who can tell. But it is all in good fun. Right?

  15. That should read: “Are you saying that CrayCrayPatriot and I are Siamese twins?”

    Comment by Cas — October 28, 2017 @ 12:04 am - October 28, 2017

  16. The WFB is not the RNC, or paid by a politician’s campaign funds.

Who paid for the damn thing was actually not that big of a deal…until it turns out that maybe the DNC and HRC’s campaign -illegally- and improperly paid them. The crime isn’t paying them. It’s -lying about it.- WJC wasn’t impeached for cigaring an intern. He was impeached for -lying about it.-

It only becomes worse since they lied about the fact that they paid for the damn thing, then used it as the basis for a FISA warrant. ‘Here , take this thing we found that we totally didn’t pay some spy to work up whole cloth and use it as a basis for a FISA warrant and possible treason charges!’

Yeah. See, the optics on that? They’re terrible.

    Comment by aerinyes — October 28, 2017 @ 12:35 am - October 28, 2017

  17. Hi Aerinyes,
As we have seen, optics don’t seem to matter one whit at the moment. You have Trump supporters calling what his campaign did in getting information on Hilary from the Russians “opposition research” and not a big deal (a position held by many here, by the way). And then these individuals turn around (a position held by many here, by the way) and are horrified by the Democrats asking a private firm to dig up dirt on DT–the same company they used to dig dirt up on Mitt Romney in 2012 (rather than with Russian government connected officials). Colour me unimpressed by the “outrage”. Did Hilary go to the Russian Government and ask for help against DT? If she did, let her burn. Otherwise, what is the issue here? We have a meeting between highly placed Trump campaign and Russian government connected officials, including a favored son and son-in-law, emails boasting about the hoped for outcome, lying by all and sundry, and that event is dismissed as “opposition research.” Opposition research. Cool bananas …

  18. Squirm Cas squirm. This is not going to have a good ending for Progressives.

The DNC brand is permanently damaged.

Rapists and pedophiles are the moral voice of the party.

Crooks and liars are the first family.

Identity politics is eating the party from within. There simply isn’t enough popcorn for this show. But we are enjoying it.
