At about 18:00, the interrogator … in his annoying, condescending, effete academic accent… informs her that free speech is a Nazi belief, and exposing transgendereds and other “marginalized communities” to ideas they don’t like will cause them to commit suicide.

At 25:00 in, the interrogator says that college students are children who need to protected from scary ideas.

At 33:00 he explains how the purpose of the university is to indoctrinate students in approved, politically correct ideas.

“Fact” Checking

Mike Pence made a statement about the American work force that was technically correct (the best kind of correct), but the Washington Post “Fact-Checker” called it a lie because he’s Mike Pence and we hate him because if you look at it in a certain context it’s … oh, Hell, they called it a lie because they hate Mike Pence. Full stop.

Meanwhile, Liz Warren gets a pass on claiming to be a Native American to take advantage of Affirmative Action hiring policies. No, instead of really examining her claim (which does not stand up to scrutiny), they just call people racist for pointing it out. The Washington Post admits it refuses to fact check Liz Warren’s claim. “We urge readers to look into on their own and decide whether Trump’s attacks over Warren’s background have merit.”

And this is why it’s called ‘The Democrat Media Complex.’

Will Progressives Rethink Strategy Now That It’s Backfiring?

When the Feminists embarked on the strategy of weaponizing “sexual misconduct” allegations to take down “the Patriarchy,” they had in mind men like Clarence Thomas, Roy Moore, Donald Trump, and Bill O’Reilly. I don’t think they imagined that the pile of skulls outside NOW Headquarters would include A-list Hollywood producers and Democrat megadonors, a very liberal Democrat senator, two and perhaps three very left-wing congressmen, and an increasing number of reliably left-wing media figures.

I would predict that — after the Alabama senate election is decided, most definitely not before — we are going to begin to see in the media and the press a call to reconsider the definition of what constitutes sexual misconduct and how allegations of sexual misconduct ought to be handled. We’ve seen some foreshadowing of this in calls to, for example, give Al Franken a break because he’s “one of the good guys.” Maybe there will be a call for a return of the “one-grope rule” that was formulated back in 1998 to help Bill Clinton escape judgment for his own sexual misconduct. The progressive left is going to have to do something to avoid being destroyed by the monster they created when they dumbed down “sexual misconduct” to mean, “He asked me for a date more than once after I refused.”

There is a precedent in American History for a time when it was demanded that due process be cast aside, that “women must be believed,” because the accusations being made were so serious, and so harmful to the community. At the end of this period, 19 people had been executed for witchcraft. I guess you could argue that the approach was a success since nobody in Salem, Massachusetts practiced witchcraft for a long time after that. But when it was over, people began rethinking whether accusations alone were enough to suspend due process, and whether the whole exercise had really been as good an idea as it had seemed in the beginning.

Democrats Helping Their Constituents

A Philadelphia City Councilwoman wants to make it easier for thugs to rob convenience stores, liquor stores, and other businesses.

A controversial bill is currently working its way through city hall designed to regulate ‘stop and go’ liquor stores. One part of the bill would force business owners to take down bulletproof glass inside their stores. But at what cost to their safety?

It’s called the ‘Stop and Go’ bill and is being offered by city councilwoman Cindy Bass.

“Right now, the plexiglass has to come down,” she said.

Bass says she’s battling for her constituents.

Oh, she sure is.

Pavlov’s Democrats

Thousands of people who didn’t know what the CFPB was last Thursday are totally up in arms and screeching that for Donald Trump to appoint one of his people to head the agency (which is what presidents do with executive branch agencies) is overthrowing the rule of law, or something.

Likewise, now that PDT has called out Elizabeth Warren for claiming Native American ancestry in order to get Affirmative Action points, a lot of Democrats have decided that Cultural Appropriation is OK under certain circumstances (i.e. When a Democrat does it) and it’s an outrageous racist slur to point out when a Democrat has done so. Suddenly, the white privilege of claiming to be a minority for personal benefit is cool again.

Oh, and also, “Don’t be friends with anyone who doesn’t hate Trump” is an actual thing.

But those people are pikers compared to the Democrat leftists who are having a hissy fit because… I am not making this upMelania Trump decorated the White House for Christmas.

Forget the Upside Down. The real strangest thing of 2017 is that the White House has chosen to get into the Christmas spirit by making the Presidential residence look like a dark alternate dimension where everything is dying and all hope is lost. I mean, it’s definitely appropriate, but it’s still a bizarre decision.

This isn’t just one left-wing media outlet’s take, either. Vox went there. The Daily Beast went there. Quite a few places went there, actually.

Such are the wages of Trump derangement; anything that Trump or anyone in his family does sends the left and NeverTrumpers like Bill Kristol and Evan McMuffin into fits of spittle-flecked derangement.

I realized yesterday the PDT doesn’t have a pet, and I think that’s for the best. I’d hate for millions of kittens and puppies to get slaughtered just because Trump-Derangers turned on them.

To be fair, Melania’s White House Christmas décor isn’t to my taste, but then neither was Michelle Obama’s “Suburban Mall on the Verge of Bankruptcy” Christmas look from last year.

Democrat Media Operative Cokie Roberts admits that the Washington Press Corps has been covering up sexual misconduct in Congress for years.

While speaking about John Conyers and Al Franken, two Democrats facing numerous sexual misconduct allegations, Roberts let this bomb matter-of-factly drop on the left-wing Sunday show, “I mean, we all talked about for years: ‘Don’t get in the elevator with him,’ you know, and the whole every-female in the press corps knew that, right, don’t get in elevator with him.”

And here’s a Democrat-Media Complex classic: It’s Republicans fault that Democrats aren’t holding Al Franken and John Conyers accountable.

Yeah, I’m tossing out a sex scandal story so you won’t have to deal with the boring old civic corruption and economics story I posted earlier.

Sweetheart Deal

Cities across North America are bidding to have Amazon locate its secondary headquarters in them. (Spoiler Alert: It will be built in Austin because turning Texas blue is a critical proggie objective.) A lot of localities are offering Amazon incentives and deals that would make the NFL blush. New Jersey is offering a straight-up bribe of $10,000 for each job creates. Boston is offering to put city-paid employees directly to work for Amazon. But Chicago’s proposal really stands out. Chicago is proposing that all the income taxes collected from Amazon’s employees will be kicked back to … Amazon.

Chicago and the state authorities of Illinois have jointly offered to hand Amazon more than $2bn in tax breaks, including $1.32bn of its workers’ income taxes. The scheme, known as a personal income tax diversion, would mean Amazon workers pay full income taxes, but instead of the state getting the money to use for schools, roads and other public services, Amazon would keep it.

The theory, I guess, is that the 50,000 subsidized Amazon jobs would lead to economic growth as its well-paid tech workers purchased goods and services from local business; which sounds a heckuva lot like those “Trickle Down Economics” that Democrats always say don’t work.

If Chicago were to be true to its Democratic-Socialist principles it would tell Amazon, “Tell you what, you locate here, and we will tax the living sh-t out of your revenues, and micromanage your hiring, and regulate you at every turn, and you will smile and say ‘Thank you for allowing us to do business,’ you filthy capitalist running dogs. Also, we expect kickbacks.”

Because that’s how they treat every other business.

It’s really beyond the comprehension of politicians that what they really just need to create a good business environment is to provide good basic municipal services (police, fire, waste management) and a reasonable tax burden.

They don’t understand that concept, but they understand bribes.

Australia’s weightlifting chief says New Zealand’s selection of transgender athlete Laurel Hubbard will create an uneven playing field at next year’s Commonwealth Games.

Hubbard, who will compete in the 90kg-plus division on the Gold Coast, will be the first transgender athlete to represent New Zealand at a Commonwealth Games.

As Gavin Hubbard, the 39-year-old was a national junior record-holder in the male 105kg class before she transitioned into a woman in her mid-30s.

This happened.

My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.” Here’s my answer:

We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency. We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain? We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney? And the results were always the same. Evan Sayet.

Fake News

In what is becoming an annual holiday tradition, the Democrat Media Complex tried to gin up a “controversy” by claiming that “Christians” were “seeing red” over Starbucks cups that allegedly offended them somehow. However, the various DMC news outlets had a tough time finding any actual Christians who were offended, so they just kind of got in a circle and jerked copy from each other to validate the alleged story.

The entirety of the evidence for this New York Times article appears to be — and I’m completely serious — a single tweet by someone with 16 followers as of press time. And that tweet isn’t even mentioned in the Times‘ article! It is included in articles the Times links to.

The next evidence — the one that mentions a “gay agenda” — is from BuzzFeed, also praising Starbucks.

The next “evidence” is a Fox News article that aggregates the BuzzFeed piece. Then it’s a Blaze article that does the same. Here’s how the New York Times sets that up: “The conservative site The Blaze also waded in, saying Starbucks had launched a ‘gay agenda campaign.’” Except that’s not what The Blaze said. It merely quoted BuzzFeed’s claim about a gay agenda. The same way that this New York Times article did. All three sites — BuzzFeed, Fox News, and The Blaze — posted the tweet from the person with 16 followers as evidence of people unhappy with the cup.

Mic.com published a story on Monday purporting that the cup design caused a ‘boycott from Christian groups,’ but the actual article cites exactly zero Christian groups calling for such a thing. The Los Angeles Times claimed evangelical Christians were ‘seeing red,’ but only cited a couple of random Twitter critics. The New York Daily News claimed that ‘Christian evangelists’ were angered by the cups, but they cited only a lone student pastor from a small church in Sarasota.

So, why do the media repeat this lame stunt every year? Honestly, it’s to belittle Christians and portray them as idiotic yahoos who fly into rage whenever they see anything that might be offensive. Also, they are intolerant and hate gay people.

New York Times: Roy Moore is morally unfit to serve in the US Senate.

Also New York Times: You know what’s super-fun? Sexualizing pre-pubescent children.

Update:  Also in the New York Times:

Politics Sucks

Al Franken is staying in the senate. John Conyers is staying in the House. Bill Clinton will die a free and wealthy man.

If anyone needs to rationalize a vote for Roy Moore, there it is.

“But what Roy Moore did is accused of is so much worse than what Al Franken is accused of actually did.”

Fine then. Let us remember then that a Democrat Congressman sodomized a sixteen or seventeen year old House Page, was re-elected six times by his Democrat constituents, and had a Wildlife Sanctuary named for him by his Democrat colleagues. (He remains an LGBT hero.)

So, basically, the voters of Alabama have a choice between a guy who was possibly forty years ago a moral reprobate, and a guy who will vote in lockstep with Kamala Harris and Chuck Schumer on abortion, gun control, tax policy, and amnesty for illegal immigrants. for a lot of people, this is a sucky choice. But it is what it is.

When this story broke, I was sure Roy Moore was toast; and he probably would have been if the Al Franken story hadn’t broken on top of Gloria Allred getting involved and promoting  an accuser with a forged yearbook and a story that fell apart like an IKEA entertainment center. He probably has a shot now that the Democrats have demonstrated it was always about power and never about women. He really should send Al and Gloria a nice thank you note for the lifeline they threw him.

I also don’t think it’s gone unnoticed that certain Republicans who were outspoken about Roy Moore have been conspicuously silent about Al Franke.

On an unrelated note, Colin Kaepenick is old enough to run for Senate against Dianne Feinstein. Wouldn’t that be fun to watch?

Morrissey Has No Friends

So, Morrissey (the middle aged emo kid who was famous in the 1980’s because his band had an excellent guitar player) was giving an interview to Der Speigel,  and it started off great. He championed veganism and compared eating meat to the Holocaust. He said that Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey were being treated unfairly.  In fact, he said having sex with minors shouldn’t even be a big deal.

“If you go through history, almost everyone is guilty of sleeping with minors. Why not throw everyone in jail right away?”

(Note to self: Do not hire Morrissey as a church youth counselor.)

And he topped it off by saying he would murder Donald Trump, given the chance.

So far, so good, from a progressive point of view.

Then, he ruined it by pointint out that Mohammedan immigrants rape people.

Dude, that’s off-narrative. Everyone on the left believes that immigrants… especially Mohammedan immigrants… are flawless vessels of perfect virtue; and to the degree that any of them are “problematic,” its because of the legacy of White Supremacist colonialism.

You’re either in 100% total alignment with progressive dogma, or you’re Hitler. There is no wiggle room.

I guess that’s why he’s so … “Unloveable.”
