A right-wing NRA member was arrested in California last week for planning a killing spree in revenge for Muslim attacks against Americans.

Oops, I may have gotten a few of those facts wrong, let me try again.

A fanatical right-wing NRA member a left-wing progressive part-time journalist was arrested in California last week for planning a killing spree in revenge for Muslim attacks against Americans Donald Trump being elected president.

The story probably would have been more widely covered had it been the first thing.

There was a stabbing incident at the Mall of America last week. The stabber was a local Minnesota resident named Ron Nelson.

Correction, it was a Somali immigrant named Mahad Abdiaziz Abdirahaman.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

  1. As usual, anyone with a three-digit IQ will know to read between the lines. When the MSM say that “a man” went on a stabbing spree, we know that it was probably “a man” named Mahad or Omar or Abdul or Mohammed.

And when they say that the motive is “not clear,” it means that he yelled “Allahu Akbar” while on his rampage.

They will also denounce the NRA and Christianity.

And they will whine about all the innocent Muslims who are terrified of a hypothetical backlash.

  2. The Mall stabbing was a shop lifter who got caught…..

Meanwhile another mass shooting happened today that would not have happened if we had better gun control

  3. Hi Mike,

Thanks for that comment. It would follow that V the K would start reporting on all botched robberies which led to stabbing incidents involving two victims.

However, I doubt we’ll see that consistency.

How he loves to selectively point at things to suit his narrative (while betraying his Islamophobia). If he only knew he was just like those on extreme Left he criticises.

But, according to him, you’re a “child” who is trying to “test” him and he won’t give you any satisfaction of acknowledging the flaws in his inconsistencies. He lives by “do as I say, not at I do.”

    Comment by CrayCrayPatriot — November 14, 2017 @ 6:20 pm - November 14, 2017

  4. As far as the mass shooting – it looks like it might be another case of the shooter “being known to the authorities”.

I don’t think “better gun control” solves a problem if the authorities don’t enforce the laws already on the books.

And please, CCP, spare me the Islamophobia rubbish. The point is that the stabber isn’t a “Minnesota man” in any meaningful sense. He’s another example of importing someone not smart enough to not turn an attempted larceny into two violent felonies. We produce enough idiots domestically (as recent news tells us).

Why are lefties are so solicitous of Muslims yet so hostile to Christians and Jews. Funny, that is.

    Comment by KCRob — November 14, 2017 @ 7:43 pm - November 14, 2017

  5. Lefties love those who they can use as an example to put forth why they should control everything. They love Scum. Ain’t that right, CCP?

    Comment by Lobogris — November 14, 2017 @ 7:56 pm - November 14, 2017

  6. California already has the “better gun control laws” that the leftists advocate: universal background checks, magazine capacity limits, waiting periods, and an assault weapons ban.

And, whether a botched theft or terrorist attack, the stabber was an immigrant who could have been kept out of the country if we had common sense enforcement of reasonable immigration laws.

    Comment by Tom — November 14, 2017 @ 8:02 pm - November 14, 2017

  7. I seriously doubt that CCP gets any of V the K’s actual points. It seems to have no comprehension whatsoever just knee-jerk use of existing Democrat talking points all of which are old and stale. As is he.

  9. Mike,

Please detail the new gun laws you reccomend, and lay out how they would have prevented a shooting.

Use small words, i am a conservative after all.

however, i expect that mike will just disappear sain without guving us the privilege of his intellectual prowess.

  13. Hi Aerinyes thanks for your interest. If I would have my druthers I would start with laws like this:

National Gun Registry & National Ammunition Registry
–If you are found with unregistered gun/ammo you to go jail
–If your gun/ammo is used in a crime that was not reported stolen you go to jail
–If you don’t secure your guns/ammo you can go to jail
–If your gun/ammo is reported stolen and was not secured, you can go to jail
Nation Gun Laws  no longer state-by-state
Ban on certain types of guns
Ban on certain types of ammunition
Restrictions on the quantity of guns/ammo per address
All Gun Purchases have a 60 day wait period
All Bullet Purchase have a 30 day wait period
Any Criminal history bans you and anyone with the same address from a gun – speeding, parking tickets included
—some hunting guns for those with criminal history may e permitted but only after permission from FBI and a 120 day wait
    All modified guns are outlawed
If you are arrested for a crime your home gets searched and guns get confiscated
Shooting ranges/gun clubs are required to track who shoots and report to federal databa
    Guns/ammo are taxed at 100%
Manufacturers are liable if they make guns without trigger locks
    No sales at gun shows
Gun shops have liability for criminal transactions and need to carry insurance of at least $500 Million

If these don’t work we close the loopholes. If meaningful gun control doesn’t happen the 2nd Amendment will be repealed

    Comment by mike — November 15, 2017 @ 1:27 pm - November 15, 2017

  14. Wow, mike – that’s quite the police state you are suggesting. Also the same for all vehicles and knives, I suspect – because those have been responsible for deaths. Probably chainsaws too.

No thanks. But your post reminds me it IS time to go to the range and make sure that I can protect myself and my husband from crazy leftists.

    Comment by COFlyerCLE — November 15, 2017 @ 1:51 pm - November 15, 2017

  15. mike- we can’t control our borders to keep out people and contraband; we can’t even catch people making scam called claiming they’re the IRS. To get close to what you’re advocating, we’d have to repeal the Bill of Rights, the 14th Amendment, and decades of case law (e.g. Miranda).

On another note, what’s to prevent, say, Kansas making itself a gun sanctuary state? If states can decide to opt out of federal immigration laws and pot laws, why not environmental laws, tax laws, gun laws, FDA, etc!

And after you’re done improving gun laws, we’ll still have gun crime. Just like Mexico, Australia, Britain, etc.

    Comment by KCRob — November 15, 2017 @ 2:16 pm - November 15, 2017

  16. I think it’s time to have some fun with the little fascist mikey.

So mikey, state that your Saint Skittles, Trayvon Martin, should have been arrested and sent to prison for possession of a gun.

So mikey, state that your Democrat Party, given that it openly colludes with criminals who own guns, should be shut down as a criminal organization.

So mikey, state that the city of San Francisco should be sued and bankrupted because they knowingly released a known gang killer and allowed him to possess weapons.

Now watch as the little troll shits his pants and runs away. That’s because fascist bigot, racist and liar mikey has ZERO intention of enforcing those laws against actual criminals. It shows that mikey is a Nazi who wants to use “gun control” as a means of punishing and attacking law-abiding citizens.

    Comment by North Dallas Thirty — November 15, 2017 @ 2:26 pm - November 15, 2017

  17. Also, remember when CrayCray screamed that Democrats didn’t want to confiscate and ban guns and didn’t want to repeal the Second Amendment?

It’s like he thinks people are as ignorant of what his fellow Democrats like mikey are saying as he tries to be.

    Comment by North Dallas Thirty — November 15, 2017 @ 2:42 pm - November 15, 2017

  18. What do parking tickets have to do with gun ownership? I got a parking ticket 20 years ago after parking on a dark street in what looked, in the dark, like a legal space. What rational basis is there for that parking ticket to preclude me, much less everyone else at my address, from owning a gun?

If healthcare is a right, and housing is a right, and I have a Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, does that mean the government has to buy me a gun?

    Comment by V the K — November 15, 2017 @ 7:29 pm - November 15, 2017

  23. Thank you for your reply mike, it was unexpected.

I have further questions for you. How exactly would any of these have prevented…*any* mass shooting?

Sandy Hook. Killer -murdered his mother- and took her safely secured, legal weapons and murdered.

Las Vegas. Killer with no known criminal history utilized his -longstanding- stock of legally acquired weapons and murdered.

Sutherton churh shooting. Known domestic abuser and violent asshole took his weapons he should not have had by current gun laws and murdered.

Recent shooting rampage in Cali: Known to the police, recent aggravated assault arrest and restraining order, took the weapons he should not have had by -current- gun laws and murdered people.

No crime has ever been solved by a gun registry. I believe Maryland had the closest thing that you want…and they finally closed it down after 15 years and 5 million dollars of -zero solved cases.-

Ammunition registry is even stupider and unworkable. Microstamping is unreliable and imprecise, and does not capture people with even a modicum of technical skill, not to mention the size of the database and gross expansion of bureacracy required.

I load my own ammo. I am now a criminal under your laws, because self loaded ammo by definition is unregistered and unregisterable.

Securing weapons/liability for non-reporting is already a crime in several states, including California. This has resulted in no decrease in firearms related crimes…and actually casued a slight increase via increased criminalization.

Ban on certain guns/ammo. Also stupid. As said, I load my own ammo, and I also have the technical skill to literally build a firearm from nothing but shit i can buy from a steel supply company, up to and including fully automatic weapons. Which guns and ammo would you ban, why, and how would you enforce this?

Restriction on guns/ammo per address: Stupid, unworkable, unenforceable.

Wait periods – how would this actually fucking help? Can you name any mass shooters who bought the guns/ammo they used less than a month before their shooting spree?

Criminal history: Thus criminalizing shared residences, civil (and thus, non-criminal) speeding/parking/traffic violations. How would this help?

Ban on modified guns: Define modifications for me. I’ve put weapon mounted lights on handguns and rifles – that’s a modification. I consider it essential safety equipment. Permanently attached scopes – also a modification. Changing trigger/recoil springs – modifications intended to improve accuracy and thus safety. What are the limits here? Are temporary attachments using m-lok or picatinny rails okay? Are -any- modifications, temporary or otherwise, allowable in any case? Stupid, unworkable, unenforceable. Requires highly trained specialists in many cases to determine if a individual fucking spring has been swapped out, or if the trigger sear has been polished by use or by hand.

House searches after arrests – I was under the impression this was supposed to happen already. Go figure.

Shooting range/gun club reporting: How is this useful? Under what circumstances is routine target shooting a reportable thing? Increases mass of federal bureacracy to an unlimited degree. Stupid, unworkable, unenforceable. The desert is 2 miles from my house, and contains hundreds of miles of nothing at fucking all.

Guns/Ammo taxes: This is, according to liberal logic, racist due to disproportionate impact. High taxes on goods have long been seen as a way to deprive the poor/working poor/black people from being able to exercise their rights. And again…I load my own ammo. Stupid and unworkable.

Gun locks: No manufacturer makes a gun with a lock.increasing complexity and adding weight without actually performing any useful task, increasing the chances of a failure to fire by a lawful owner, are bad things. Stupid, unworkable.

Gun show sales: What purpose would banning sales at a gun show achieve? Can you name a mass shooter who acquired a gun at a gun show without getting a background check? Can you name a mass shooter who illegally acquired a weapon at a gun show? Stupid, unworkable, unenforceable.

Gun shop liabilities: Hahahahahah! You’re funny, Mikey. The federal government and state governments routinely decline to prosecute the -hundreds- of people who illegally attempt to purchase firearms as strawmen or fraudulent declarations on the form. Enforce the laws already on the books, mike. Liability insurance? What for? You cannot sell insurance for a criminal act. This is nothing but a measure designed to drive gun shops out of business, criminalizing legitimate, legal, business owners. Stupid, unworkable.

Loopholes: What loopholes, mike? How would you close them? how would you enforce the closing of these loopholes/

The simplest solution is to simply enforce the laws already on the books, and litigate against the strawmen and fraudulent purchasers as is already the law of the land, not criminalizing otherwise law abiding citizens.

    Freedom. Always freedom, never security.

  24. Further, mike, would you criminalize the possession of certain chemical compounds that can with nothing but bathtub chemistry become anything from high explosives to deadly poison gas?

Because all I need to do to kill people is go the grocery store and peruse the fucking cleaning aisle for 5 minutes. Guaranteed I can walk out of there with enough stuff to mustard gas the whole store, mail a few bombs around, or launch something at a few thousand feet per second.

And the only thing I need to do any of that is Comet. It also cleans mildew!

  26. Three more women accused Roy Moore of inappropriate behavior on Wednesday, the same day that his Senate campaign held a news conference challenging a woman who earlier this week accused Moore of sexual assault.

    Comment by rusty — November 15, 2017 @ 10:25 pm - November 15, 2017

  27. Of course, rusty.

That’s because Democrats like you are malicious liars who will desperately slander people as sexual predators for power.

Mike Nifong, the Democrat, did it to the Duke lacrosse team.

Rolling Stone did it to a UVA fraternity.

And now the Democrat candidate for DA in Dallas County is slandering and attacking an Uber driver as a sexual predator in order to protect a drunk Democrat Assistant DA who acted reprehensibly.

Your attempted moral panic is disgusting, rusty. First, your panic was nonexistent when it came to your Democrat leaders like Seattle’s mayor who was a practicing pedophile, not to mention all of Hollywood. Furthermore, everyone here knows that Democrats like you will outright lie and slander for political power and you are PROUD of the fact.
