Oh, Yeah, They Totally Knew

NBC Executives claim to be shocked… shocked… to learn that sexual abuse was going on in Matt Lauer’s office (with the button under his desk that locked the door.)

But back at a celebrity roast of Matt Lauer in 2008, most of the jokes were apparently about what a sex pig he was.

Then “Today” co-host Meredith Vieira was especially crude, making jokes about Lauer and Roker partaking in anal sex during the Turin Olympics, with Roker as the receiving partner.

Comic Bob Saget eventually took the stage to offer Lauer some marriage advice: “Do what I’m doing, Matt. Come into the Dark Side. My next wife hasn’t even been born yet.”

Another comedian ─ one attendee believes it was comedian Jeff Ross ─ made racist jokes about Lauer using a naked Roker on all fours as his coffee table.

Comedian Gilbert Gottfried was so obscene that Fox News can’t even publish a highly expurgated version of his material, but part of his racist routine – filled with Asian sex jokes about Ann Curry –included detailed remarks about Curry’s genitals.

…. But the twice-married Lauer wasn’t finished joking about sleeping with female contemporaries.

“What’s with all the small-d— jokes? It was fun to look over and see Ann Curry laughing… like she doesn’t know how big my d— really is,” Lauer said, wrapping up an event that The Village Voice called “three hours of d— jokes.”

  1. Defenestrations are called for all-round, followed by quarterings and heads on pikes. …Just for the sheer hypocrisy!

    They all knew.
They all enabled and covered for him.
    They all laughed…

  2. Not being anywhere even close to being discreet was a gigantic blunder. They were indeed enabled by their whole rotten liberal culture at the Democrat media complex. The fact evidenced by their actions, with very little effort at concealment.

  3. @ Ted B.: Nah, defenestration is too quick. I’m favoring burning them at the stake, myself.

  4. Too quick? Depends on the height of the window …LOL. Trebuchet from the rooftop heliport? At minimum, they should all be sacked and removed — with real sacks.

Where is that darned cat when I need her?

  5. But, they did not violate their moral standards, so no hypocrisy is involved.

  6. Does anyone have a theory on why these creeps all seem to like whipping it out in front of unsuspecting women and masturbating for an audience? Is it because they are entertainers, I mean my friends and I were talking about this over some beers the other day and none of us had ever thought of doing something like that or hearing about other guys we know doing it. What a weird fetish.

You can’t take power out of the equation. The ability to provoke an emotional response is a form of power with an immediate payoff; the bigger the reaction the greater the power. Also, for guys like Lauer, there’s the huge power trip of “I can get away with this, most guys can’t.”

  8. Good point v the k coming from a working class family and being a grunt in the army for two wars I guess I didn’t take the power factor into it. Would really like to hear from Cray Cray on this though a liberal perspective might open my mind up to these fetishes. I am being serious Cray what are your thoughts on this weirdness I am stumped.

  9. V the K has said it. This is about power.

It is also about dominance and abuse.

Power does not corrupt; people corrupt power.

It is NOT about sex. It is about the battle of the sexes. Lauer did not abuse indiscriminately, he chose his target and he man-slapped her defiantly. “Take this or take a hike.” “I am God and I can snuff you like a moth if you so much as even shy away.”

Suppose that Roy Moore was a horndog for twitchy-butts when he was 32. Suppose the Kennedy’s screwed everything with a skirt when they were 32. Suppose women grinned when Trump grabbed their crotches because they smeller opportunity.

From the standpoint of Secular Humanism, the whole business depends upon first being caught and then upon the whim of whether the zeitgeist shivs a git at the moment. Nihilism works that way.

Lauer got away with it for years and apparently his modus operandi was well known and covered up. DemonizingRats really, really don’t shiv a git about Clinton’s trail of women he abused, including Carolyn Moffet, Jaunita Broaddrick, Eileen Wellstone, Elizabeth Ward, Paula Jones, Linda Millwee, Kathleen Willey, Sandra James, Christy Zercher, Monica Lewinsky, etc.

    We live in degenerating times.

Al Franken should NOT resign. He should stand up like a man and own up to what an asshole he is, but so what?

How, pray tell, do Secular Humanists arrive at the conclusion that one of them is out of the club? Their morals are matters of convenience and their ethics are outcome calculated.

There are no nihilistic “standards” which substitute for the rule of law, a code of ethics or right and wrong. So, they make it up as they go along.

    Pretty much, Heliotrope.

Franken is “resigning” without actually leaving because the Obama/Hillary Party has, thanks to Trump’s careful baiting, maneuvered themselves into a corner where if Franken isn’t purged, their entire “war on women” meme explodes.

And there is method to this. As V the K and I have been doing over the past few days, the best method of dealing with people who are irrational and vindictive — which perhaps describes the leftist mindset more than any other — is to enrage them to the point of insanity. You take a small beating, but in the process you can draw them into holding an untenable position.

This is, in my opinion, what Trump has done. He is fully aware of the Democrat Party’s actual attitude toward women and all of its other minority plantation members. He’s also aware that they’re not particularly intelligent AND that he can enrage them to the point of all-out witch hunts.

So if you’re willing to withstand being called a witch and are in the position to hold fast, triggering a witch hunt is your best method of taking out your adversaries. Either they start burning their own or they totally discredit themselves in the process by NOT burning them.

I can’t say for sure that Trump picked the targets so as to better wedge the Democrat base apart, but he couldn’t have done better if he tried. Franken is a darling of the “resistance”, so pushing him forward exacerbates the split between the insane progressive left — which is already saying it’s okay that he gropes as long as he supports abortion — and the insane Clinton left. Conyers is a triple wedge — minority, “icon”, and stupid enough to name his own woman-beater son as his heir.

What’s even better is that Democrats are trying to get rid of Franken to be in a better position (they think) to attack Moore when he is elected — but of course, thanks to idiot Al, what are they going to say?

    Comment by North Dallas Thirty — December 7, 2017 @ 2:38 pm - December 7, 2017

  11. Sen. Franken was turned over to the “tender mercies” of the women of the tribe; a traditional and fearsome fate-worse-than-death.

The only upside is that by the end of the next three weeks he might be able to find/buy safe-places for some of his Washington and St. Paul senatorial staff. His personal fate is sealed.

…And it done by his own political party!

    Comment by Ted B. (Charging Rhino) — December 7, 2017 @ 2:53 pm - December 7, 2017

  12. I have a theory…They are using Franken as a scapegoat so that when Moore gets elected theycan do the same thing to him and then they can do the same thing to President Trump for saying he was a female genitalia grabber. They know they’re not going to get to Trump on Russia or impeachment, so they will do it through the means of his crude and sexual remarks, via sacrificing there man Franken and setting a precedent

  13. * THEIR man

    Comment by TADFORD — December 7, 2017 @ 2:55 pm - December 7, 2017

  14. Well, let’s summarize the Franken resignation speech.

    1. “I’m a champion of women, by the way, the women who accused me are liars.”
    2. “Even though the women who accused me are liars, I am going to resign… not today, but at some time in the next few weeks.”
    3. “Please use my resignation as a talking point against Trump and Moore.”

And then, the same Democrat women senators who were demanding his removal from the senate surrounded and hugged him.

    Comment by V the K — December 7, 2017 @ 3:02 pm - December 7, 2017

  15. I like how he qualified that he had never done anything as “a US Senator” to bring shame upon the office. Wrong Al, the way you got into the Senate in the first place was by cheating. His very presence there was because the rules didn’t apply to him. He knows that the Democrats don’t care about his bad behavior to women, and that he is only being thrown under the bus so they can have the “moral high ground” to go after Roy Moore and Donald Trump. Heliotrope, once again you have nailed it: “Their morals are matters of convenience and their ethics are outcome calculated.

THAT is not going to stop President Trump, despite the Liberals’ fever-dreams to the contrary. The American electorate heard all the allegations and the rumors, and still elected Trump. So he’ll stay-on no matter what the mutterings and high-dudgeon of the Left.

    The rest is just “Politics”.

Yep. 19 women and counting have something to say about Donald Trump. People know, for sure. But it cannot be possible–they are all lying…he says so, and Donald trump doesn’t lie …

    Oh yeah, They Totally Knew.

  19. Cas, you are tiresome…you think you are keeping us honest, but all you are doing is reinforcing our conservatism/libertarianism…you’re not changing anyone’s mind, particularly because you never acknowledge your own hypocrisy in matters like this, even when it pointed out and blatantly obvious. Keep talking about the “19 and counting” while offering up no evidence or proof, or even names, for that matter. What is your real agenda here?

    Comment by TADFORD — December 8, 2017 @ 2:23 am - December 8, 2017

  20. Hi TADFORD,
Feel free to show me my hypocrisy. I’ll wait. And as for names, do you need me to provide you the list, or do you think you could just Google “19 women accuse trump” and read for yourself? Some might not have an agenda. All of them? The President says they are ALL liars. Is that your view? How many will it take for you and a nice selection of conservatives on this site to say–“Hmm? I wonder if there is anything to this issue?”

    Comment by Cas — December 9, 2017 @ 12:32 am - December 9, 2017

  21. Gas Cas sends up fumes @ #18:

19 women and counting have something to say about Donald Trump.

It is to laugh. Donald Trump has been a national phenomenon since the 1980’s.

Donald Trump is widely scorned and even hated in the elitist world.

Only 19 women and counting have something to say about Donald Trump” and not one of them can begin to provide credible evidence?

How many groupies, grifters and gold-diggers with loose underwear do you suppose Trump has had grabbing at his “attention” over the years?

Here are the 19 Trump “accusers” as presented in The Atlantic: Kristin Anderson, Mariah Billado, Lisa Boyne, Rachel Crooks, Tasha Dixon, Jessica Drake, Jill Harth, Cathy Heller, Samantha Holvey, Ninni Laaksonen, Jessica Leeds, Melinda McGillivry, Cassandra Searles, Natasha Stoynoff, Bridget Sullivan, Temple Taggart, Ivana Trump, Karena Virginia, Summer Zervos.

Aside from Ivana Trump, who are these women? Where are their official complaints filed with the justice system? Who among them rises to the credibility of Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Kathleen Willey, Gennifer Flowers?

If we are supposed to automatically believe what a woman claims, what about the Duke laCrosse team, the UVa fraternity, the multitude of feminists and lesbians who have filed charges based on actions and slurs they made against themselves?

Due Process is hardly a guarantee that a person’s complaint will be successful after investigation and a court verdict.

The accusations against Donald Trump are flaccid at best. I am surprised that the pussy-hat squad hasn’t rounded up a brigade of claimants against The Donald’s “abuses.”

Even the leftist sewer rats at the Atlantic couldn’t come up with an attention grabber. So what chance does a useful idiot like Gas Cas have at stirring up the pot?
