Bernie Sanders on Meet the Press calls for a “Cultural Revolution.” A Cultural Revolution being that thing that happened in China when communists killed upwards of 70,000,000 people.
“There needs to be a due process, there needs to be a differentiation… what we need in this country, this whole debate is bringing this up, we need a cultural revolution,” @SenSanders on the #MeToo movement and Franken’s resignation. #MTP

The exercise of power is oftentimes not that pretty. The DemonizingRats would not have thought about jettisoning Franken if governor who would fill his seat were a Republican. So, lets start there.
The purpose of political party dominance in a branch of government is to gain power and affect policy. What Franken is doing is akin to the “Irish goodbye” in which one blathers on about taking his leave as he takes another glass and refills his plate. “Soon, I’ll be leaving you and partying is such sweet sorrow and all our good times together will be but memories, but while we are still together lets enjoy…” …blah, blah, blah.
Here is an example of a sea change due to political control:
In early May of 2017, Rex Tillerson addressed the State Department and stated his policy agenda.
“Guiding all our foreign policy actions are our fundamental values — our values around freedom, human dignity, the way people are treated. Those are our values. Those are not our policies.”
“If we condition too heavily that others must adopt this value that we’ve come to after a long history of our own, it really creates obstacles to our ability to advance our national security interests, our economic interests. What are our national security interests, what are our economic prosperity interests, and then if we can advocate and advance our values, we should.”
“We have no preconceived notions on the outcome. I didn’t come with a solution in a box when I showed up. I came with a commitment to look at it and see if we can improve it.”
“I want to condition you to be ready to participate in the next phase because that’s when it will become more challenging. But we’re all on this boat, on this voyage — I’m not going to call it a cruise, it may not be that fun.”
Tillerson sent a letter to all State Department “key” people asking them to define the core importance of their particular mission and to outline how they are invaluable in carrying it out.
Tillerson (“T-Rex”) is not asking for a recitation of platitudes and pie-in-the-sky rhetoric.
The fact is, if the Tillerson State Department is not a good fit for a long-time State Department person, that person might just as well leave before he is dismissed.
Franken has no “marginal utility” other than his DemonizingRat vote. If throwing him overboard gives the DemonizingRats a better position for the time being, so be it.
But only because the fact that the appointing governor is a DemonizingRat. This is nothing about mission or principle. It is pure political calculation.
And, if Judge Moore is elected, Franken will stay.

Open thread, eh? Well, here’s a piece at zero hedge about inner-city kids suffering PTSD from the war zone environment they live in.
Decent people wouldn’t submit their pets to the environment some of these kids endure (who then grow up to be the predators that will terrorize the next generation).
Of course, the blame lies with whitey and the fact we don’t spend near enough money, colleges are cesspools of racism, you know the drill.
Nothing will give this country the courage we need to have Eric Holders ‘nation of cowards’ discussion.
Oh, while we’re on the outrage train, how ’bout the Mesa, AZ cop that *murdered* a sobbing man who was on his knees begging for his life… and the jury let him off the hook for it. The dead man is white so I’m doubting the DOJ will point the civil rights team at the (ex) cop.
The cop that was forced (by Michael Brown) to shoot Michael Brown lost his career and lives in hiding despite the fact the shooting was justified (even by Eric Holder’s DOJ standards); this guy may well turn up at another PD. God help his next victim.
(Note: the video is stomach-turningly revolting.)

If I even come close to mentally determining that you are a liberal female, I will not hire you for other reasons. It’s called backlash.

Has anyone confronted Joe Biden about his inappropriate behavior toward women and girls over the years? His mauling and pawing of Ash Carter’s wife Stephanie, was the most memorable (since there was so much press there to comment on it). As usual, Mika B is quick to dismiss/defend the creepy behavior because…well, that (D) behind his name.
Then there is the 11 year-old, in 2011–also at a press event:
(this article has links to two other examples)
The word that keeps coming up is “creepy,” but wouldn’t the Sexual Harrassment Hysteria Lynch Mob have a very different word (or three) for that sort of behavior? He’s been a Gaffe Machine for decades, but this is the sort of stuff that should be causing heads to explode all over the country…but won’t, since he’s “good ol’ Uncle Joe”. Still, I wouldn’t leave my nieces alone with him.

Actually, the Franken “Resigning Not Resigning” gambit was helpful to Dems. It gave the media cover to stop talking about him while he remains in the senate casting votes at Chuck Schumer’s behest.

Well I guess Stuart Smalley wasn’t good enough and was not smart enough and doggone it, people don’t like him and are sick of him.
For those who don’t know what I’m referring to, it’s a character Al Fraken played on Saturday night live back in the 90s (although I refer to SNL now as Saturday Night Dead).

The cop in the video sounded like he was too hot to begin with. I get it that he warned the guy, but the way he did it seemed excessive and over-the-top. It also seemed like the other cops had no clue what they were supposed to do. They kept being reprimanded by the one with the cam and gun and asking him questions. One thing I noticed is that the cop did not specify, when he told either perp to crawl to him whether or not he want a knee crawl or a hand and knee crawl. So, the guy started on hand and knee, but maybe he suddenly realized he was supposed to have his hands straight up in the air and panicked. He did sound pretty scared to death. It seemed very poorly handled all around.
I would also like to reiterate something I eluded to in another post. I believe we should be a great deal more frightened of Franken resigning than we are. The Dems have something up their sleeves with this…some woman that’s going to come forward with evidence against Trump for harassment or assault…then, the Dems, knowing they cannot get him on Russia, will use what they believe is their moral high ground, getting Franken to resign, to try to force Trump into resigning, thinking they will get enough outrage from the American public to support his resignation when they call for it…but they don’t have moral high ground…they have hypocrisy and situation ethics, because what they do is care for their fellow man and work hard for them…and bringing up Bill Clinton, John F Kennedy, Ted Kennedy and any number of other philandering, perverted Democrats will not matter to them, because those men did good for “the people” which far outweighs the accusations against them
