Chels Manning is thinking of running for the senate from the nutty blue state of Maryland. Let’s quickly review Chel’s qualifications, why not?

  • Betrayed xer country in time of war as part of an emotional tantrum relating to an issue of sexuality.
  • Mentally unstable attention whore.
  • Mentality of a twelve year old girl. (Chel’s Twitter feed looks like an illiterate running amok in an emoji factory.)

So, yeah, pretty much where the Democrat Party is right now.

Xe (or whatever) isn’t the problem. The problem is that Xe has a greater-than-zero chance of winning.

I don’t know how high than chance is but the fact that it’s > 0 is disturbing.

I can’t wait for senate bills decorated with unicorns and Little Ponies.

Why would anyone support Bradley, a person who can’t accept reality.

Oh please please let this thing get the Democratic nomination.

You get to keep — tax-free — all the money that you raise for a political campaign and don’t spend. I smell a go-fund-me rat…

    And a book deal.

    And a movie deal.

And a pundit-role on Fake News TV.

Maybe the 12 year old has rediscovered Jesus, though.

    From the same feed:

“imagine a world where caring for each other matters more than the accumulation of material things”

I agree, that’d be sweet — after people can get over the iPhone X-420, presumably.

Exercise left to the teenager: go and try to convince Hillary’s BFFs, the Saudis, among others.

Chels Manning is thinking of running for the senate from the nutty blue state of Maryland.

Au contraire, s/he is not merely thinking of running, but has filed with the Federal Election Commission. What s/he needs to do, but hasn’t, is file with the State Of Maryland, which must be done in person within the next 12 days.

Assuming s/he can get the last coat of glitter nail polish to dry and get his/her arse to the local elections office in time, then and only then will s/he appear on the ballot. If that doesn’t happen, then AFAIK, s/he can still raise money and, even if there are actual filing requirements imposed by the FEC, s/he could always run as an independent. Ted could be right in terms of it merely being a (self-)promotional vehicle. After all, it has been done before. I recall some infatuatees [also known as “Claymates”] being so convinced in having Clay Gay-ken becoming a US Representative from North Carolina [CD-2], that they were willing to help campaign for him and trash his general opponent as being a right-wing extremist (when, in reality, she was a rather moderate Republican).

After they had embarrassed themselves and after he had a resounding loss, it came out that he was making a documentary about the campaign as a promotional stunt and thus the ever-present recording equipment on the trail with hundreds of hours of footage.

Missing in the current #WeGotThis frenzy is what the current two-term incumbent senator and presumed frontrunner, Ben Cardin, thinks about all this. Don’t quite think his war chest is a match for whatever Bradwina can scrounge up…

He’s going to win. Everything that disqualifies him to a rational person is a plus to someone with anti-Trump, #Resistance mentality. Maryland has enough of anti-Trump Leftists to stick him in the Senate.

RSG (#6), thanks for the bit of hope that Manning won’t actually be a candidate. With KCRob (#1) I am disturbed thet there is a >0 chance of s/he winning. (If it had been on the left coast, I fear it likely that said traitor would be elected.)

We have to hope that Manning doesn’t go through with it. Back up hope is that western Maryland (which should secede from the DC-Baltimore part) and those offended by his traitorous deeds AND his f the poolice comments will overwhelm his/her supporters.

Ted B (#4), do you think s/he’s that smart? Or being “managed”?

Managed? He’s a total-tool sock-puppet for somebody. But not to actually gain the Senate-seat, it’s a misdirection get-rich scheme The whom is the question…

Cardin will steamroll her in the primary. Maryland is a state full of technocratic policy wonks, African-Americans, government workers, trial lawyers, etc. The East Coast is about technocratic liberalism, not identity games.

Sometimes I wonder — what if, for America’s own sake, it’d be more urgent to deport the unhinged left (starting with, say, the basement dwelling Antifa and the likes)?

@11 rationale : a good proportion of those being tenured professors, or Silicon Valley HR managers, … with the same thing in common : a visceral hate for anything based on american values.

More seriously, here is my analysis — for, I have seen it happen to my own country over the course of at least 3 decades (ie, 2/3 of my own lifetime) and to most of the rest of Europe, also :

Illegal immigrants, preferably of the worst possible kind (ie, the criminals and ungrateful ones) is the last hope of the fascist, radical left.

The last 4 years of the Obama mafia have been devastating for the left’s black vote — you can have all the MSNBC or CNN you want, the black america is slowly but surely waking up to the disastrous Democrat policies. BLM and the rest are mere prefabricated distractions.

Blacks are leaving the Democrat plantation in droves, finally –this was long overdue, but is now irreversible.

The only way for the america hating left to keep an only remote appearance of presence in voting booths moving forward is to stuff the ballots with that of a new type of population to bribe — illegals to whom a heaven of state sponsored entitlements are/will be promised.

Hence, my theory as to what is the most hated thing by today’s left : president Trump’s war on sanctuary cities and states.

IMO, the left’s outrage against the brakes on state mandated healthcare or the new tax plan both pale in comparison to their almost complete despondence and secret or displayed rage against the idea of enforcing laws already on the books to protect the borders.

They are watching the spigots getting shut — the spigots of what they were hoping could regenerate their electoral base.

    And they absolutely hate it.

    @13
Cyril I think you are right. The Left also has made great political hay out of mocking the Right as the “Man”, well now they are the “Man” and they can’t get rid of that regardless of the twists and turns of outrage they go through. They’ve had it their way for so long they’ve gotten fat, lazy, and stupid and don’t even realize it.
