Mike Pence Derangement Syndrome

The dingbat who wrote The Handmaid’s Tale says that VP Mike Pence is the theocratic dictator she had in mind when she wrote her stupid book.

Also, at the Osrics, host Jimmy Kimmel said that Hollywood makes movies to deliberately offend Mike Pence. (He was referring to a movie in which a gay man played by an actor in his thirties grooms a high school boy for a sexual relationship.)

And then, there were the Olympic skate-queens who made the Olympic games all about bashing Mike Pence a couple of weeks ago.

It’s as though the Democrat Left feels a need to remind everyone… it isn’t just Donald Trump they hate. They hate mainstream Republicans just as much. Also, Christians.

  1. The left and its Liberals are certainly making a fine start to the midterms by attacking Christianity and throwing up their periodic gun grabbing agenda. Both of which are political non-starters. Applause.

  2. I think the attacks on Pence are either because they’re so confident that they’ll get rid of President Trump, one way or another, that they’re readying to hate/undermine Pence as much when/if he becomes president….. or they believe he will run in 2020 if Trump can’t or doesn’t run again.

  3. When Trump chose Pence, he made a very good decision and was the first indication that perhaps there was more to him than I had assumed. (Never been a fan of Trump but he has surprised me enough times that my relief to be rid of Mrs. Clinton has morphed into grudging respect.) I didn’t vote for Trump but probably will in 2020. Progressives are deeply stupid about many things but they understand that Pence is a genuine conservative Republican and he hasn’t provided them with ammunition of the usual ‘pussy-grabbing’ variety. Pence is a seasoned politician, appears to be reasonable and thoughtful, and is often far more publicly presentable than Trump. Pence would be a boring, competent president and that’s just what a president should be.

  4. When Margaret Atwood wrote The Handmaid’s Tale in 1985, was Pence even in politics? What great foresight to now he’d be V.P. in 40+ years later.

  5. Pence is pretty milquetoast yet he drives the lefties nanners.

I wonder if the “statesman” wing of the conservative masses will realize, at some point, that lefties do not want to “reach across the aisle”, “work together to come up with bipartisan solutions”, or anything else aside from destruction and control.

    Nah.

  6. Only the true christian can take the hate from the left as a blessing.

If only as a reminder of where the line in the sand has been drawn long, long, long ago.

The only real tough part is #2 — forgiveness and love for the totally lost, nevertheless.

Now that’s the tough one, if one asks me.

  7. I recall Joy Behar making even more of a fool of herself than usual on The View by mocking Mike Pence for saying he prayed about some issue and wanted JC’s help in making the right decisions. She joked about his Christian views to such an extent that some people *on her side* actually accused her of going too far. Then last week we had Oprah Winfrey state that she wasn’t running for President because she waited for a sign from God, and it never came. I don’t recall hearing Joy Behar mock and insult Oprah in the same way for the same behavior or beliefs….

  8. While Gov. Pence would not have been my 1st-choice for Mr. Trump’s running-mate for 2016, I just don’t understand the Libertard fury at his mere existence or his residency at One Observatory Circle. The Gay Left shriek like he’s somewhere between Joseph Goebbels and Torquemada. To my eyes he’s kind of a bland, two-dimensional, square-jawed Race Bannon from Politic’s Central-Casting. **Meh !!**

  9. The media only supports gays when they can make our sexuality and lives into Slaveocrat Party minstrel shows.

You can be gay in Hollywood. But only if you’re a Democrat.

What happens when you also end up offending gay people along with it? They really hate Republicans more than they like gays, and they’re revealing that they really hate the Jews, not just Israel.

As a gay Jew, I am offended by Hollywood’s attempts to depict gay Jews as sexual predators. If you’re not, then you’re part of the problem.

Call pedophilia and antisemitism by their names.

I haven’t seen Call Me By Your Name, but is this really an accurate description of the relationship dynamic? My impression, from the plot synopses I’ve read, is that the younger guy is even more flirtatious than the older guy, and initiates things to some extent.

But I also get the impression that (a) the whole thing is kinda “Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light” — in other words, as deep as a Hallmark card and not at all challenging to gay viewers; and (b) it glamorizes Going All The Way to futtbucking, which is not an excellent message for LGBT Youth.
