Riddle Me This

Why is it when Democrat-Leftists want to insult Republicans/Conservatives, they do so by calling them gay?

  1. I still hold-forth my wholesale/retail dichotomy;

The Democrats love “The Gheys” as a political victim-class, but secretly despise and shame gay individuals behind their backs.
Of course I have gay friends.”
    “Name one…” **crickets**

While the Republicans loathe “Gays” and the “gay agenda” when asked, while they all have close gay friends whom the fiercely protect.
“Isn’t it terrible what they did at that awful parade last weekend, I saw it on TV. Shocking…”
“The choir director and his boyfriend were at our party last night. Lovely people…”

  2. The Marxist of the left aren’t supposed to make these kind of mistakes while they’re ushering long lines of liberal gays onto the Democrat gay Plantation.

Gays do love their victimhood status as Ted has stated but that love of martyrdom will quickly evaporate when they see smoke coming out of the crematorium.

It’s not Republicans or Conservatives who are corralling blacks and gays into voting groups. The National Socialists of the left do love to crack that whip every so often, don’t they.

  3. Because Leftist gay acceptance is veneer. Our Conservative straight friends have far more gay friends then our Progressive straight friends do.

  4. I may have gay aquaintences, but as I don’t ask (or care) who they sleep with, I don’t know. How very unenlightened of me not to view people as trophies.

  6. Do Democrats really think that all Republicans think being called “gay” is still an insult? What a bubble Kimmel must live in. Can somebody just take Jimmy and Sean, lock them in a room together for a few days, and see if they can stop acting like freaking children?

  9. The leftist hates. The individual is especially hated as the individual isn’t available for the use of ‘the movement’.

But these comments are all good. The more these comments come out – the more people wake up to the left, and walk away from the left. And the left is going insane over Trump. We have so much yet to come out of the leftist hate-fest.

  10. Leftists never advance beyond a kindergarten mindset. Hence, why their policies boil down to selfishness and envy. Calling someone gay is the epitome of childish insults.

  11. Sean L, Hannity opposing and calling out Kimmel doesn’t mean that Hannity is acting like a child. It means he’s pointing out Kimmel’s lowbrow comment/joke about Melania.

rusty, Kimmel isn’t taking the high road, he’s walking back his own hypocritical comments. Vomiting out lame spin from the left does not explain Kimmel’s stupidity. Nor does it imply that Kimmel is in the right and is being gracious. He’s not.

  14. I’m with Hanover (@ #10) on what Hannity is doing.

We are forever witnessing the “popular” voices on the left gang up and bully people who represent the right. It works for them. Sean has taken on the “mission” of belittling and deeply wounding Kimmel. And it is a good choice, because Kimmel is a weakling and the leftist herd will hang him out in the same way they sacrificed Kathy Griffin and her Trump trophy head.

True to form, Kimmel is responding with taunts that the left can not defend. That is how s-t-o-o-o-p-i-d Kimmel actually is. He goes low and then even lower.

These leftist “humorists” are incapable of escaping into actual comedy. They can only preach to the choir and subsist on a small share of the potential audience. There is nothing universal about them.

Hannity smells weakness and he is acting out the role of the predator. His platform is Y-U-G-E compared to what the leftist side show provides.

Hanover, that is probably the most profound thing I have ever read in my life. Kudos!

(Rusty, dear – please take notes. This is how a mature conversation takes place. 🙂

  16. Peter Pan Frat Boy Jimmy Kimmel issued a non-apology apology over the weekend, reportedly after getting attention from those you never want to offend even if you have no problem offending everyone else: the people who approve your paychecks. When you are under the Magic Kingdom umbrella, you don’t want to receive a call from Bob Iger or his designate asking you to ‘make this go away—before you have to do the same’. Contrary to some of the media reports, it wasn’t taking the “high road” at all; it was damage control. So far, the advertiser boycotts of his show are still in progress and time will tell whether they have the impact that is anywhere near that of Laura Ingraham’s advertiser revolt, promoted by the angry psycho teenager from Parkland FL.

Curious is the need for those demonstrably heterosexual to use gay slurs to make their point. I can recall when frequent cable news guest (and Clinton Winged Monkey) Paul Begala kept using the phrase “butt boy” in his commentary until he used it enough times to get the Gay Organizational Mafia (in the form of GLAAD, IIRC) to ask him to stop. How he thought it was only being derogatory in one direction given his level of education and exposure in the public arena is puzzling. Likewise, another alleged community ally in the form of Chelsea Handler also presumed to impose a sexual position preference on the Attorney General of the United States in the past few days and got called out for it, not only by conservatives, but by Resistance enthusiasts Perez Hilton and Charles Blow. In her defense, at least she is able to presumably blame vodka.

Meanwhile, motivational guru Tony “You can do it!” Robbins challenged the #MeToo movement and their propensity towards victimhood recently and the rebuke was swift. So swift that he was forced to do the obligatory social media apology with the de rigeur “I still have a lot to learn” mea culpa. Pretty soon, being on the receiving end of alleged sexual assault will, in civilian terms, be right up there with being awarded a Purple Heart. It won’t matter if you received the Bill Cosby special treatment or the Kevin Spacey everyday massage: if you survived to tell anyone who will listen about it, you’re a winner in the victim sweepstakes.

  17. Most of The Gheys are too-young or too-addled to remember the truly Dark Days of the Gay Plague years. And even the angry plays of Tony Kushner don’t capture the existential angst unless you were there and experienced the subtext and the context of his cri de coeur. I’ve long ago forgiven him his acts of hubris and the overt hypocrisy of ACT-UP* which did good in unexpected ways.

Too many forget when AIDS=DEATH was a anticipatory-fact, not a marketing slogan.

And they conveniently have forgotten that 6-month period where the specter of mandatory-testing and that midnight knock-on-the-door was a serious future for many in their present prattle about the 2nd Amendment, “the camps”, and shallow (national) socialist activism. They missed-out on the covert inquiries about political refugee-status and emigration to Canada, Australia or New Zealand. …Those first tentative visits to the local gun shop while visiting the ‘Rents.

That said, …Git’ off my lawn!

  22. And even the angry plays of Tony Kushner don’t capture the existential angst unless you were there and experienced the subtext and the context of his cri de coeur.

Funny thou should mention the scribe Kushner. His magnum opus is still being trotted out for restaging (most recently on the Left Coast) even when many of the younger attendees have no clue as to who some of the real-life characters are (eg, Roy Cohn). True to form, he attempts to make it relevant to events in 2018, as referenced in an interview with the Los Angeles Times:

Kushner wishes the play weren’t so terrifyingly resonant. “Angels” will still work, he said, once we get Trump’s “god-awful, ego-anarchist, anti-government, crypto-fascist, plutocratic, kleptocratic garbage out of our system.”

Sounding a bit like Prior in the play’s final moments, Kushner said that “the plague” of Trump would not be the end of our democracy. For all his rational political paranoia, the playwright shares Martin Luther King Jr.’s confidence in the benevolent long-term bend of the moral universe. “Angels in America” is a testament to his faith.

    Never change, Tony.

Say what one wants about the actions or character of President Trump, the fact that his mere presence on the world stage makes overinflated artistes like Tony Kushner foaming-at-the-mouth unhappy is worth any downside to the former’s presidency.
