Democrats Are Way More Obsessed About Gay Sex Than Republicans; Exhibit A

At the Senate confirmation hearings for PDT’s pick to be Secretary of State, the Democrats… at least the most show-boaty one… seemed far more interested in the nominee’s views on gay marriage and gay sex than on his credentials and beliefs about international relations.

During a Senate confirmation hearing Thursday, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) pushed Pompeo on his previous comments, particularly his suggestion that homosexuality was a “perversion.”

Booker: “Is being gay a perversion?”

Pompeo: “Senator, when I was a politician, I had a very clear view on whether it was appropriate for two same-sex persons to marry. I stand by that.”

Booker: “So, you do not believe that it’s appropriate for two gay people to marry?”

Pompeo: “Senator, I continue to hold that view.”

The left simpers, “How will he stand up o countries that don’t respect gay rights.” To which I respond, Shut Up, Skippy. Concern about Gay Rights in foreign countries didn’t stop BO and company from giving billions upon billions of dollars to a regime that hangs gay people from cranes in the public square.

When pressed on how he would treat gay couples within the State Department, Pompeo replied that he treated all couples within the CIA “with the exact same set of rights.”

  1. I’m more interested on Pompeo’s thoughts on whether or not the US should continue to mire itself in the endless stream of wars in and among the sh**holes DJT talks about.

Hush, now. That’s not really important, and there’s plenty of people on the left and the right who will tell you so. This week, Tucker Carlson questioned why we were deigning to get involved in Syria and if the facts were there at all to suggest any of the recommended courses of action. When the tweet went out promoting that viewpoint, one of the responses by an otherwise conservative Twitterer of note was literally “STFU”.

No, the important questions of a cabinet nominee seem to be his position [figuratively or otherwise] on gaysex and whether or not he would resign from a job he does not yet have if his nominator were to dismiss another person in government whose position has zero to do with the position he has been nominated for. We are literally at a point where the price of tea in China has more to do with Mr Pompeo’s nominated post than many of the questions he is being asked in his nomination hearing. Confirmation hearings in the modern era have nothing to do with discerning viewpoints on policy direction by prospective nominees and everything to do with virtue signaling, embarrassing the nominee, and political posturing. While some of this has always occurred, I don’t think we’ve ever been at a point where this type of behavior has comprised the majority of confirmation antics.

I can’t wait for Mr Pompeo’s replacement at the CIA to undergo her nomination inquisition. It should be quite the (sad) spectacle.

  3. There are no significant Wars happening at this time where the US is involved. Police actions, various military operations do not qualify as War. It’s not a hard concept and the United States does indeed need to project its power to further our interests and the interests of our allies. There is also no significant number of Libertarians in the US. Therefore; there is no need for me to pray that we be saved from them and their inability to understand basic concepts, precedent and history.

On topic, the left does need to continue to make a show to mollify their gay liberals. Showboating is what Liberals, Marxists and their National Socialist enforcers do so very well. It may be clownish and stupid but they do it well.

Society has evolved. The liberal gays don’t own it. The Democrats don’t own it. Pretending that they’re responsible for equity and fairness is conveyed to those stupid enough to listen. In the end a liberal will be disappointed. It’s what they are made of and we all know that they would be nothing without continuous complaint. When you have a liberal constantly bitching about something it’s very difficult for normal people who want to keep the best in society and oppose radical change, to tune it all out and just live in normality.

Love doesn’t make the world go around and there is no need to be shy about hating something that deserves your ire. Identify your enemy and make a move to destroy them. There is plenty of free time in a day to get all warm and fuzzy with your loved ones.

  4. To me, this reveals a HORRIBLE weakness on the part of Democrats. They simply cannot imagine someone treating someone like a human being while disagreeing with them.

And the disagreement amongst Democrats is growing. Which is why it will eventually fail. You simply cannot do that for very long.

  5. Booker is an unserious buffoon. Had I been in Pompeo’s shoes, I would’ve asked, “Mr. Booker, are you sure these are just hypothetical scenarios? Or are you ‘asking for a friend’?”

  6. The correct answer ought to be, “Senator Booker, do you agree that giving billions of dollars and treaties to develop nuclear weapons technology to countries like Iran that murder gay people is wholly inconsistent with your line of questioning?

If so, then why are you doing it?

At the same time, you are a well-known supporter of the demands of the Palestinians, who aside from killing gay and lesbian people themselves, want to wipe from the map the one country in the Middle East that permits same-sex marriage — one which Democrats like you also oppose because of its Jewish heritage.

Can you reconcile your apparent obsession of the importance of same-sex marriage with your support of violent, homophobic and bigoted regimes? Can you also explain why your Democrat Party groups such as the Human Rights Campaign endorse your support of these violent, homophobic and bigoted regimes?”

    Mic. Drop.

  9. Sen. Cory Booker is an unserious person, not worth getting into an argument with.

And a national embarrassment to a significant-portion of the population of my state. Unfortunately a electoral-majority voted the race-card; so there we are, shamed by his every utterance. And then there’s Sen. Menendez…

  10. Gays are but another category of “useful idiot victims” to people like Progressives of all stripes.

Progressives love Jews if they are not Zionists. But they don’t love Jews so much if they are not rich and Progressive.

Progressives love articulate blacks who are Progressive as long as they play by the Progressive Plantation rules. Inarticulate blacks who are Progressive are AOK so long as they keep to the Progressive script.

Progressives are fascists. Fascists depend on well-groomed minions. Everyone else is suspect.

  13. “The left simpers, “How will he stand up o countries that don’t respect gay rights.” ”

With all the same bombs, bullets, guns, and weapons that Regressive Theftists have demonized and vilified for years. The Left doesn’t care about gays. If they did, they would not have made a deal with Iran. Nor would Obama have pardoned a tranny traitor and gotten Log Cabin’s lawsuit against DADT thrown out.

  14. Some great comments here. On a personal note a friend of mine works at the agency. A female and her partner were thinking of doing an overseas post but changed their minds because they wanted to have baby. All under Director Pompeo’s leadership. She still is employed there and happy. How can that be if DP is so evil?

  15. In the grilling of Secretary of State nominee Mike Pompeo, Corey Booker displays classic “thought control.” Dennis Prager rightly warns his listeners not just of Corey (although he does this), but of the tendency of all Leftism to degenerate into this form of fascism: Sen. Corey Booker Exemplifies Totalitarianism
