Free Markets Good, Socialism Bad

The below says something I have long thought but never been able to articulate as well as “Mark.”

Probably the closest thing to “Real Capitalism” was what was practiced in Hong Kong between 1947 and 1997; a time when a tiny city-state became one of the most prosperous places in the world and had a tax code smaller than a TGI Friday’s menu.

Chile also became much more prosperous after Pinochet dealt with the Communist there. He left office peacefully, leaving his country and free and prosperous. The same cannot be said of Castro, Chavez, Mao, Mugabe, or any other socialist maximum leader.

Socialism, on the other hand, has led to more murder, deprivation, and poverty for more people than literally any other idea in history.

California Versus Free Speech

The California Legislature is fast-tracking a bill that would make it illegal to publish, sell or exchange any book critical of transgenderism or not critical of the idea that sexual behavior can be changed. I am not making this up.

California’s legislature is poised to approve one of the most serious attacks against freedom of speech ever contemplated in U.S. history this week. Assembly Bill 2943 is legislation that would place that state in an Orwellian society by banning books, speech, and commercial services that would (in the state’s subjective view) help or encourage any willing consumer to overcome same-sex desires or gender confusion.

In the bill, California makes a legislative declaration that “Contemporary science recognizes that being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender is part of the natural spectrum of human identity” and that so-called “change efforts,” including merely speaking a different viewpoint, constitutes unlawful, unfair, or fraudulent business practices under the state’s consumer protection laws.

They are claiming that promoting (or even discussing) the idea that humans can choose to control their own sexual behavior is “consumer fraud,” because it’s obviously impossible for any human being to manage their sexual urges. Except for straight intoxicated college men, who are expected to behave like chaste monks.

I note that the California Legislature is not banning books or speech on how cancer can be cured with crystals, or explaining the “health benefits” for women of stuffing rocks into their vajayjays.

Checking in with the Classy, Tolerant Left

Usually, leftists are happy (or, at least, their self-styled misery abates slightly) when Republicans die. Most of the notes from the Democrat Media Complex on the passing of Barbara Bush have been reasonably respectful.

Then, there’s this tenured Mohammedan feminist and award winning poet and social justice activist.

Jarrar’s first tweet on Bush’s death stated: “Barbara Bush was a generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal. F**k outta here with your nice words.”

Jarrar continued, writing: “PSA: either you are against these pieces of shit and their genocidal ways or you’re part of the problem. that’s actually how simple this is. I’m happy the witch is dead. can’t wait for the rest of her family to fall to their demise the way 1.5 million iraqis have. byyyeeeeeeee.”

And in case you were wondering, she’s every bit as pretty on the outside as she is on the inside.

Oh, and the social justice wankers are boycotting Starbucks now because some guys who were loitering in Starbucks refused to leave and were arrested for refusing a police order to stop trespassing on private property. Starbucks is closing the day after Memorial Day (Woo HOO! Four Day Weekend!) To provide social justice indoctrination to their employees. This has not appeased the wankers even one little bit. But they are apparently too stupid to realize that coffee can be purchased elsewhere or even made at home.

Protest Privilege

Starbucks is spending its mandatory XX number of days in the Hate Box. This means gigantic leftist jerkwads get to go to Starbucks and harass minimum wage employees. Then, they’ll look for some TV cameras to complain how victimized and oppressed they are.

Leading By Example

An LGBT Activist burned himself to death to protest Global Warmies. Now, that’s showing commitment!

Chik-Fil-A Derangement Syndrome (CFADS)

A writer at the New Yorker (and presumably, the editorial staff agrees), is horrified at the arrival and growth of Chik-Fil-A restaurants in New York City. Mainly because of the icky Christianity and niceness.

“Chick-fil-A’s arrival in New York City feels like an infiltration, in no small part because of its pervasive Christian traditionalism,” Dan Piepenbring wrote in an article that reads more like parody than journalism.

In the piece, Piepenbring condemns “creepy” Chick-fil-A over its owners’ Christian faith, the company’s charitable contributions, and its popular ad campaign featuring cows encouraging patrons to “Eat Mor Chikin.”

The writer also noted disdain for the fact that the walls of the restaurant’s Atlanta headquarters are “adorned with Bible verses” and at the center of campus there is a “statue of Jesus washing a disciple’s feet.”

But forcing schoolchildren to recite “There is no God but Allah,” not a problem.

The LGGBDTTTIQQAAPP Invent “Parenting”

Posted by V the K at 11:11 am - April 13, 2018.

Stupid feminist website lists the 4 reasons LGGBDTTTIQQAAPP are better than normal parents. Do you wanna know what they are? Do you want to know that the four revolutionary things are that no parent ever did before the LGGBDTTTIQQAAPP started doing them. OK, here they are:

1. They don’t hide the hard stuff from their kids—they keep it real.
2. They teach their kids that their bodies belong to them.
3. They expose their kids to diversities in race, gender, and sexuality.
4. They create a community around their children.

As if no normal heterosexual parent ever teaches their kids to deal with reality, teaches them that their bodies belong to them, teaches them to treat people of other ethnicities with decency, or create communities around their children.

It’s like these idiot queer feminists think they invented parenting.

BTW: The Left-wing queers translate “They don’t hide the hard stuff from their kids—they keep it real” as “We teach our kids to hate Trump, the police, white people, and Republicans. (I am not making that up. It’s in the frigging article.)

Problematic Playlist

Posted by V the K at 9:36 am - April 13, 2018.

USA Today lists the most politically incorrect songs of all time, includes ‘Ebony and Ivory’ because… “their message of ‘people are the same, there’s good and bad in everyone,’ so let’s just get along would be interpreted as hilariously naive by the more woke factions of today’s cultural discourse.”

Because, today, of course, being ‘woke’ means believing that people of different races and cultures need to be at each other’s throats constantly in a zero-sum game of rabid identity politics.

What was the epitome of woke in 1982 is now “cringeworthy,” because political correctness is such fleeting thing. Most of the songs on the list are terrible. Some are kind of fun (“Kung-Fu Fighting”). But it is typical of the social left that these songs are deemed bad not because they are bad songs, but because they reflect what the social left views as “Bad Politics.” Lou Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side” and Aerosmith’s “Dude Looks Like a Lady” make the cut not because they say anything mean about transgendereds, but because the author thinks they don’t cheerlead transgendereds enough.

Here’s one I am surprised they missed. Maybe too obscure for the editors. It would probably make their teeny socially conscious heads explode. And what about this one (going out to you, Senator Elizabeth Warren.)

Would you ever let a leftist choose your playlist? I know I wouldn’t. Gawd, it would be mostly the Decemberists and Macklemore.

Here’s a Korean band doing a funk song called ‘Sugar Daddy.’ Is that ‘problematic’? Deal with it.

Democrats Are Way More Obsessed About Gay Sex Than Republicans; Exhibit A

At the Senate confirmation hearings for PDT’s pick to be Secretary of State, the Democrats… at least the most show-boaty one… seemed far more interested in the nominee’s views on gay marriage and gay sex than on his credentials and beliefs about international relations.

During a Senate confirmation hearing Thursday, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) pushed Pompeo on his previous comments, particularly his suggestion that homosexuality was a “perversion.”

Booker: “Is being gay a perversion?”

Pompeo: “Senator, when I was a politician, I had a very clear view on whether it was appropriate for two same-sex persons to marry. I stand by that.”

Booker: “So, you do not believe that it’s appropriate for two gay people to marry?”

Pompeo: “Senator, I continue to hold that view.”

The left simpers, “How will he stand up o countries that don’t respect gay rights.” To which I respond, Shut Up, Skippy. Concern about Gay Rights in foreign countries didn’t stop BO and company from giving billions upon billions of dollars to a regime that hangs gay people from cranes in the public square.

When pressed on how he would treat gay couples within the State Department, Pompeo replied that he treated all couples within the CIA “with the exact same set of rights.”

More Stupid

I am sort of missing the connection between the Cookie Monster and knife crime. Or is it just leftist instinct to infantilize everything?

Really, would you ever see anything like this in a society run by reasoning adults, except as satire?

And only cowards carry screwdrivers? WTAF.

Once again, the progressive left is battling reality with hashtags; because they’re idiots.

Yes. The above is from an actual Airstrip One media campaign to reduce knife violence give jobs to soyboys and soygirls in the graphic arts community.

That is, without a doubt, the stupidest thing happening on Airstrip One this week. But this is a damned close second.

A Pride event in Glasgow has banned drag queens from performing, after committee members decided acts could offend trans people.

Free Pride Glasgow, which bills itself as an anti-commercialist alternative to the Scottish city’s main Pride event, said trans and non-binary committee members were “uncomfortable with having drag performances“.

The organisation said in a statement that it hopes to create a safe space for all members of the LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, asexual) community, and that while the decision may “disappoint” some people “the needs of the most marginalised groups within our community come first.”

It went on to stress that attendees can wear “what they want” and “express their gender how they please”, but that “self-described drag acts” would not be allowed to perform.

I guess this is why I could never be a leftist. I’m not stupid enough to think that hashtags are the solution to everything (“#BringBackOurGirls”) or obsessively fret about people who are so into drama that not offending them is simply unpossible.

And while we’re on the topic of leftists being stupid.

A school district in Pennsylvania has come up with a unique response to the Parkland shooting. The district spent about $1,800 to arm all of its teachers with miniature baseball bats.

We really do not deserve to survive as a culture.

Inequality, Bullying, and Facebook

So, why is it OK for Facebook to ban conservative opinion such as Diamond and Silk, but not OK for a Christian baker/florist/photographer to decline to participate in a gay wedding?

Leftist: “Well, Facebook is a private company.”

And what branch of Government is a Christian-owned bakery.

Leftist: “Baking a cake isn’t free speech.”

But y’all say burning the flag is.

Leftist: “It’s different because LGBTTQQFAGPBDSM are a legally protected class and conservatives aren’t”

Ah, now, we’re getting closer to the truth. It’s not really about “equality” then, is it? It’s about giving certain groups privileges at the expense of other people’s basic rights.

Leftism is not a coherent political philosophy. Leftism is a cult of bitter losers who lust for Government power so they can use it to bully people they don’t like. It is nothing other.

Feminists for Sex Slavery

Posted by V the K at 11:35 am - April 9, 2018.

The Feminists behind the “Women’s March” are all angry and mad because a website that facilitated and promoted sex trafficking and child prostitution has been shut down by the Government. I am not making this up.

The shutting down of is an absolute crisis for sex workers who rely on the site to safely get in touch with clients. Sex workers rights are women’s rights. – Women’s March

So, all sex with men is rape, unless it’s prostitution sex, which is OK even if the prostitute is a 12-year-old seems to be the general gist of Feminism these days.

Airstrip One 1920: In the interest of public safety, all firearm owners must be licensed.

Airstrip One 1937 – Personal defence is no longer a valid reason for a firearms license. “Firearms cannot be regarded as a suitable means of protection and may be a source of danger” (Which I believe is the IngSoc equivalent of “No one needs an AR-15.”)

Airstrip One 1968 – All rifles and pistols must be registered with the Government in the interest of public safety.

Airstrip One 1988 – For the good of public safety, semi-automatic rifles are banned. Shotguns must be registered.

Airstrip One 1997 – Thank you for registering your guns. Now turn them in or go to prison, for the good of public safety.

Airstrip One 2018 – Knife violence is out of control. “No excuses: there is never a reason to carry a knife. Anyone who does will be caught, and they will feel the full force of the law.”

I am told the slippery slope is a fallacy, but damb if it doesn’t look like our British cousins slid right down one.

So, what’s next? Outlaw hammers and bottles? Outlaw sharp pointy sticks? Outlaw rocks? Outlaw weightlifting because big strong men are intimidating?

Note to leftists; this is why no one believes you when you claim you don’t want to confiscate guns.

P.S. With London’s crime rate now exceeding New York City’s, the Metropolitan Police Department is tasking nearly 1,000 officers to investigate people who make politically incorrect comments in social media.

Riddle Me This

Why is it when Democrat-Leftists want to insult Republicans/Conservatives, they do so by calling them gay?

This Is Love

I am glad ‘Rick and Morty’ is (was? {Season 4 is looking pretty iffy}) popular among late Millennials and Generation Tide Pod. I find its realistic cynicism refreshing. e.g. This spot on take on love and relationships.

JERRY: Beth, do you still love me?
BETH: Ugh, what kind of question is that?
JERRY: The “yes or no” kind?
BETH: Jerry, do you want homeless people to have homes?
BETH: Are you gonna build them?
BETH: Then what good was the “yes”?
JERRY: Wait, is loving me the house or the homeless people?
BETH: Loving you is work, Jerry hard work, like building a homeless shelter nobody wants to say no to doing it, but some people put the work in.

Better than that “Love fixes everything and emotions are always right” crap the entertainment industry spews out to move product.
