  2. These “compassionate” progressive politicians have no decency, no humanity. It’s all about power for them. I wouldn’t hold my breath ’til Boxer acts like a human being and wishes Carly Fiorina well; it probably isn’t going to happen. And if it does, it will only be belatedly and begrudgingly, because enough people in the media have made note of the coldness of saying nothing.

    …Wait a minute, they won’t do that.

  3. You know I find it disgusting when others revel in the misfortunes of others, especially health issues, when these things have nothing to do with the politics involved, but I find it very odd that you think it’s not enough for Sen. Boxer’s official spokesperson to wish her well on behalf of the campaign and that she needs to post something on her website to the effect. Why is wishing her well not enough? Frankly if the Boxer campaign took your suggestion, isn’t the reality you’d make up some other standard that would have to be met because you don’t want to be satisfied by their response?

I mean it’s not like Ms. Fiorina would ever be petty or rude toward her opponent in a personal way like criticizing her hair style or something, or trying to paint the senator as old by noting the cost of gas when she was first elected into office.

  5. Given Countervail’s history of lies and smears of Carly Fiorina’s record, it is funny that he attempts to divine Dan’s motives and his reactions to possible futures.

i’d point out that Sarah Palin, for example, had more grace to send condolences to Jack ‘Ex-Marine’ Murtha than Ma’am did. She sent them herself, not through a spokesman.

  6. Best wishes on Carly’s quick recovery. Maybe it’s because I’m jaded, but I don’t see the big deal about the lack of response from the Boxer camp, mostly because my expectations of her are so low that I’m actually impressed that she approved her campaign manager making a statement. Still, it would show a rare instance of class to go above and beyond that.
