  1. Every minute we spend talking about Donald Trump is a minute we don’t spend talking about the horrible economy (thanks largely to Obama’s Keynesian policies and overzealous regulation) and crushing deficit (brought on largely by Obama’s out-of-control spending).

    Naturally, this benefits Obama.

  2. V the K, I understand your concern but the reality is that everyone of us is reminded each day of the poor economy.

In particular, each time independent voters fuel up their cars, they are reminded of the ineptitude of Obama.

With Obama in a slow bleed on gas prices in particular, you don’t want to get in the way. So right now, it’s best that Republicans instead focus on the 2012 budget. They have fired the fist salvo with Ryan’s plan. They have the Democrats on the defensive so this is where they need to focus their efforts.

As for Trump, this is a down time in Presidential politics. The great majority of folks could care less therefore Trump is the flavor at the moment. Let the Press go after him. If you’ve watch any of Trump’s exchanges with the Press, he is so good at flipping it right back at them. It’s a side show and that’s all it will be once primary Republican voters focus on his history or the Press digs up enough dirt on him and Republicans sour when they see the real Trump and quite frankly, it’s already started.

  3. Obama thinks he can dehumanize & belittle like he did President Bush in 2008; Obama is learning the hard way that 2010 & 2012 is not 2008. Obama remains the Alinsky fool.

  5. I don’t think it’s any surprise that Obama lowers himself and thus the Presidency to other peoples level.
He is a very little man, very small and he has no worries about
belittling the office. He doesn’t see America as a shining city on a hill, or her people as capable of great things.

    Comment by Gene in Pennsylvania — May 1, 2011 @ 8:03 pm - May 1, 2011

  6. Obama sees himself as the matinee idol on the hill; thus, he diminishes himself in the end. I don’t think Obama gets it.

  7. Coincidence??? Obama waited to have this press conference right when Donald Trumps Celebrity Apprentice is on

The Donald wanted proof. . .

    Comment by rusty — May 1, 2011 @ 11:39 pm - May 1, 2011

  9. Well, Mr. Trump was demanding proof and he got it. Now, that bombastic moron has nothing to base his “campaign” on. Plus, I think the President had the perfect forum last night to take some deserved whacks at Trump. (What did Trump expect when he showed up at that thing).

In addition, there’s nothing left for the Republican “leaders” out there to get mileage out of with their more brain-addled constituents. Perhaps they’ll wise up and get people like Trump, Palin, Bachman, etc off the radar and at least make an attempt to look serious about future political leadership for their party.

  10. 10.Well, Mr. Trump was demanding proof and he got it.

No surprise coming from the incompetent, narcissistic jackass you fucktards voted for. Chairman Obama’s about as slick as whale shit on an iceberg.

  11. Again, Levi argues that attacks on Goldwater, McCain and Garfield are raaaaaaaacccciiiiisssstttttt because thats’ the only reason to question a Presidential candidate’s legitimacy.

Remember folks, Levi’s the one who said that ‘Arabians’ are uncapable of understanding democracy, and yet -we’re- the racists.

    This is called projection.

Now hush Levi, adults are talking.

  12. Why is everyone against Trump? He is a go getter and a smart business man. To me that’s what I want in a president, The President of the greatest country on earth. He takes no bullshit antics and isn’t afraid to say what everyone else is thinking.

  13. Trump, Palin, Bachmann…….

They sure do scare the daylights out of the leftist fringe kids.

Trump calls Obama a chickendropping for avoiding the birther issue and smooth old, cool old, calculating Obama ….. releases his birth certificate. He can’t take the heat so he stops playing his games and runs like a sissy.

But wait! Saturday night, with Trump in the room, Obama says that Trump’s hair looks like a dead fox. Cool! From the podium and behind the guards, Obama taunts Trump. Like Trump has no experience with thin-skinned sissies reading off TelePrompTers.

I rather enjoy the Chicago style gang war against the New York/New Jersey style of keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.

Obama thinks he is “getting even.” In a way he is right. He is “getting ever more” of what he clearly is incapable of handling.

In this corner we have Barack Obama weighing in with precious little experience as a community organizer (whatever that is) and in the other corner we have Donald Trump weighing in with huge loses and huge recoveries and always being the 800 pound gorilla in any room he enters.

  14. Trump, Palin, Bachmann…….

They sure do scare the daylights out of the leftist fringe kids.

As much as you’d like to pretend that these people are your greatest strengths, they’re truthfully the conservative movement’s greatest liabilities. No one is scared of any of them. I’ve said so over and over again and I know it’s not penetrating those thick skulls of yours, but that’s the way it is. Please, by all means – nominate them. By all means, put them up on television in a debate. Obama could get a DUI and he could beat those morons.

Trump calls Obama a chickendropping for avoiding the birther issue and smooth old, cool old, calculating Obama ….. releases his birth certificate. He can’t take the heat so he stops playing his games and runs like a sissy.

He can’t take the heat? Are you in the 7th grade? This is too stupid – I don’t know how I’m supposed to respond to that.

But wait! Saturday night, with Trump in the room, Obama says that Trump’s hair looks like a dead fox. Cool! From the podium and behind the guards, Obama taunts Trump. Like Trump has no experience with thin-skinned sissies reading off TelePrompTers.

To be clear – making a joke about a person that is sitting in the audience is somehow cowardly and in bad form, but plastering yourself all over cable news and accusing the President (never to his face) of being a foreign subversive with no evidence is a courageous act of manhood?

For all the profundity in your terrible posts about this, you might as well have said, “My dad could beat up your dad!”

  16. It’s funny how Levi accuses others of being a coward, while he’s never made it to any of Dan’s visits to DC, despite open invitations.

Heck. Levi’s accusing others of cowardice when he is too scared to reply to posts that point out how wrong he is.

    That’s called ‘projection’.

Then again, he has yet to condemn the ‘racist attacks’ on Goldwater, Garfield, and McCain.

Now Hush Levi, adults are speaking.

  17. Donal Trump is not a successful business man, he is a successful publicity machine for himself, that is all. Seriously, you want this sort of decision making in your White House?

declared bankruptcy in 1991, unable to pay a $3.5 billion loan with *personal* at $900 million. Bondholders lost millions. & Trump had to give investors half the ownership of the Taj Mahal.

1992: Tanother declaration of bankruptcy – Trump gave up 50% of Trump Plaza Hotel to lenders and forced to fold Trump Shuttle

-2004 filed for bankruptcy protection, restructured debt so that ownership in Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts reduced to 27%

February 17th 2009 – filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy with a debt ratio of $50 million in assets to his $500 million in debt.

Seriously, this is the fiscal example you want in your White House?
