  1. Me thinks Hilary taught Mrs. Weiner how to control her man.

  2. My favorite headline in all this (and I am sure the wire services did it on purpose) was a couple days ago, “Boehner thinks Weiner should resign”. :-)

    Comment by ILoveCapitalism — June 16, 2011 @ 10:50 am - June 16, 2011

  3. Hehehehe…love the headline. Of course, this whole scandal has been ripe for such fun puns.

  4. You must have thought of this headline days ago and was praying for the day you could use it!

  5. And now, on to CNN to co-host the new program “Weiner-Spitzer.”

    Comment by V the K — June 16, 2011 @ 11:22 am - June 16, 2011

  6. I wanted him to stay, as the face of the Democratic party – shamed, not teeth to attack anyone .

  8. Too little too late. He drug this out way too long. At least, when all the Republicans got caught in a sex scandal, they resigned right away without dragging this out. Democrats always think they can get away with it.

  9. My father taught me : “the lie is often worse than the crime.” If Congressman Weiner had fussed up right off and dropped out of sight for 2 weeks, he would still have his job.

    Comment by TnnsNe1 — June 16, 2011 @ 12:10 pm - June 16, 2011

  10. Weiner’s cooked. He was on a roll. He should’ve been frank with us. I’m relishing this. Aaaagh someone stop me!

    Comment by Jim Michaud — June 16, 2011 @ 12:17 pm - June 16, 2011

  11. I think my favorite moment (not headline) was when the porn star stood up to teach Weiner some ethics.

    Comment by ILoveCapitalism — June 16, 2011 @ 12:18 pm - June 16, 2011

  12. If Weiner blames anyone other than himself for this setback, it’ll be sauerkraut – oops! I mean, sour grapes.

  14. Democrats always think they can get away with it.

Gee, why do you think that is? Mr. Clinton, do you have an answer? How about you, Congressman Studds? Portland Mayor Sam Adams, any comment? Congressman Rangel, what are your thoughts? Congressman Waters, can you provide some insight into how corrupt Democrats rarely seem to face consequences? How about you, Congressman Frank?

That’s exactly what every straight teenage boy says in the back of every car in every state in America.

Good thing we’re gay, otherwise, we’d be parents right now. :-)

  17. And….as is typical of a libtard…not one word about how he f*****-up and brought this upon himself.

Remember this, people. Remember this during this campaign. Remember this when the proglodytes comment here…

They do no wrong. They have never done wrong. They cannot admit when they have been proven wrong.

    It is the Democrat Party.

    David Vitter?

    Comment by Brendan — June 17, 2011 @ 6:20 am - June 17, 2011

  26. Actually, Brendan, would you like to state that anyone caught listed on a prostitute’s books should resign?

    Let’s see you apply it.

Game, set, match. You and your fellow Obamabots are demanding a standard of Vitter that you would never apply to one of your own, and that makes you obvious and blatant hypocrites.

    Comment by North Dallas Thirty — June 17, 2011 @ 12:36 pm - June 17, 2011

  27. “Game, set, match”. ND30 you seem to amuse yourself by thinking that your repetition of your trite phrase somehow proves you have won an argument. The posting was about Weiner’s resignation. I pointed out that Vitter is still in office and that contradicts the point that Republicans in sex scandals always resign. Do you really think there is an argument that Weiner’s actions required resignation and somehow Vitter’s did not? No didn’t think so–game, set, match as you would spittle.

    Comment by Brendan — June 17, 2011 @ 3:54 pm - June 17, 2011

  28. Brendan – whether or not Republican pols caught with their pants down resign… one difference here is that wayward GOP pols seldom get backed up by the entire Republican establishment. The Dems only started abandoning Weiner when the politics looked bad, not because he’s a dishonorable and obnoxious person.

Weiner’s real crime wasn’t sending his private pics round the country; it’s not even that he lied about it (politicians lie – it’s in their job description). The stinky thing here was that he falsely accused the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy (Andrew Breitbart) of framing him.

If he’d just said MYOB – that’s how we libs hang – he’d probably still have his gubmint sinecure.

Don’t worry your pretty little head, though; our congresscritters make sure they award themselves cushy landing spots. It’s not like there are any consequences similar to what we proles could expect under similar circumstances.

  29. “one difference here is that wayward GOP pols seldom get backed up by the entire Republican establishment.”

Yes, of course, the entire republican establishment demanded Senator Vitter’s resignation. And proof of this can be found, where?

    Comment by Brendan — June 17, 2011 @ 10:21 pm - June 17, 2011

  30. While I am here–ND30 you have not answered the following question:

Do you really think there is an argument that Weiner’s actions required resignation and somehow Vitter’s did not?

Don’t bother answering. I assume either the Obamacare socialist department of mental health is forcefully adjusting your thorazine dose or perhaps you are patrolling Folsom Street saving children from a life of sexual slavery to gay democrats. I can see ND30 running up and down the streets of SF screaming, “stop right there! In the name that all that is sacred–take that dog collar off that child. Oh never mind, nice dog”.

Apologies for violating the civility policy currently under review.

  32. Brendan – Vitter is not the point. If you’re going to bring up Vitter then I will say Clinton, Spitzer, Edwards, Kennedy, Dodd, Frank…

Why are you upset? After all, Obama said that he would resign under similar circumstances. Pelosi (D-Folsom Street) said Weiner should resign. I read that the Clintons(!) were upset with Weiner.

Libs should ask themselves why they want dumb people, democrat or republican to have so much power.

    Comment by SoCalRobert — June 18, 2011 @ 12:40 am - June 18, 2011

  33. Actually, Brendan, you don’t think Vitter’s actions were worthy of resignation, as we show from your support of your Obamabot caught on the hookers’ rolls.

So why are you even making the comparison? That’s right; because you have to defend Weiner. Gays like yourself just aren’t mentally capable of thinking past your Obama Party affiliation, as both you and Rachel Maddow, the other defender and supporter of Weiner, have shown.

    Meanwhile:

Apologies for violating the civility policy currently under review.

No problem. You’re also showing how your fellow gay-sex liberals Vinci and Dooms who are screaming and tantrum-throwing for the policy to be enforced suddenly go blind when one of their fellow Obamabots violates it.

And by the way, it’s quite telling that you mock and attack people who oppose dressing four-year-olds as sex slaves and taking them to a sex fair to show off in front of naked and masturbating adults. Glad to know you still support and practice that.

  35. And, by the way ND30, you still haven’t responded to the post from the civility thread. And that dates back much further than anything your convoluted mind can muster up.
