  2. Maybe they can’t stand the thought of the first female president being a Republican and not a Democrat.

  3. Michele Bachmann is the new Sarah Palin until Rick Perry. Their attempt to make a bogeyman on the Right speaks of their desperation to protect their failed Marxist, Obama.

  4. The left just can’t let social issues go? You’re confusing me again, Dan. I thought it was the right that you wanted to ignore social issues so as to make it easier for you and other gay conservatives (libertarians?) to push the social left’s gay agenda onto the conservative movement. Or something. Like I said, you’re confusing me, Dan. Sigh.

  5. Is Michele Bachmann as far to the right as Dennis Kucinich is to the left? Dennis Kucinich once authored a bill outlawing space-based mind control rays because he was convinced the military was up to that. Yet, he has never been given the wild-eyed kook treatment by the MFM.

  6. “not the Michele Bachmann who has shown a remarkable fluency on fiscal issues”

“fluency on fiscal issues”? Does this include Ms. Bachmann’s response in the recent debate–an answer shared by all other candidates, I believe–that as President she would reject a fiscal package that was 10/1 spending cuts to tax increases? Do you seriously believe such remarks are fiscally sane, or do you agree that she–and the rest of the candidates–don’t really believe it when they make such statements. If the former, she is certifiably crazy; if the latter, why believe a word she says?

Of course we are talking about someone for whom “respect” and “submission” are synonyms.

EDIT from Eric: That word, “submission,” just kills you lefties, doesn’t it? Unless, of course, it’s in Arabic, in which case, it’s pronounced “Is-lam,” huh???

  7. Do you seriously believe such remarks are fiscally sane,

Given the Democrats history of never EVER following through on spending cuts once taxes have been increased, it’s a perfectly reasonable position.

And though a self-centered lib like Brendan may never understand it, submitting to the wishes of someone you love is an act of love and respect.

  8. There are never going to get it. Palin, Bachmann, Perry… the idea people have principles and try to follow them.

When all you believe in is naked power, you just don’t get it. Hence the MSM’s and the Demoncrats’ confusion. And you can’t explain because its like telling a blind man what blue is.

Yes, when one considers how the government currently funds drunks and adult babies while handing out food stamps to millionaires, all at the expense of people who actually work and earn a living.

Now tell us, Brendan; do you seriously believe taking money away from people who work and produce goods and services to fund alcoholics and adult babies and hand out food stamps to millionaires is “fiscally sane”?

Because that’s what you and your Obama Party and your Barack Obama are advocating AND CURRENTLY PRACTICING.

  11. Given that such a question is vauge… they did the right thing?

Are we talking abotu a tax increase now, with the cuts to be ‘spaced out’ over future budgets? Yeah, that always works. The sad thing? That’s still more specific than President Obama’s ‘plan’.

Tell you what Brendan, if you think it’s such a good idea, would you take a 10 trillion cut in the budget now, with 1 trillion in tax increases to be ‘spaced out’ over the next 10 years?

I’ll be waiting for you to reply with something more than crickets.

  13. To me it was apparent in the 2008 campaign that the libs really really don’t like women, especially those who run for the office of the President/Vice President as evidenced by their treatment of Hillary Clinton and especially the savaging of Sarah Palin and her family (note how they treated her female children vs how they treated her son). Scratch the skin of a liberal/progressive and you’ll find a misongynist.

  14. Seanna-Anna, Yes, Dennis Kucinich introduced a Bill in Congress to Outlaw Space Mind-Control Weapons.

Curiously, the MFM does not regard this sort of thing as fringe or insane. But try to balance the budget, and you’re not only insane, you’re an insane terrorist.

  15. Poopy

A similar thing happened in New Hampshire where a commie scrunt pushed her kid in front of Rick Perry and forced her to ask a stupid question about evolution.

  16. It’s a shame the Republican candidates were not given a chance to explain WHY they wouldn’t accept all those imaginary spending cuts in exchange for just a teeny, tiny tax hike. On its face, it does seem unreasonable.

It’s a bigger shame that no one remembers history, even fairly RECENT history, when the bargained-for hikes happened immediately, the bargained-for cuts… well… never happened.

  17. Meanwhile, watch as gay-sex liberals like Brendan scream and demand that people be fired for the opinions they express on their personal Facebook pages.

When a gay-sex liberal is fired for bashing Republicans on their page and the gay and lesbian community shuts the hell up, then they can fire this person. But when one considers what gay-sex liberal government employees are allowed to put up at will, and how Obama Party teachers can compare public officials to Nazis without a single objection from their administrators, all that is demonstrated here is abject and blatant hypocrisy.
