Off topic but as one of the token hetero’s posting here I have to comment on a striking difference between the GOProuds/GayPatiots and Gay Incs/Act Ups. I’ve never been able to get used to the screaming, eye poking, hysteria of LGBT activism permeating this town that has been the norm since the stonewall days. I have to wonder if the homo’s posting here can appreciate the low volume, reasoned, sharing of the American experience laid out in the quote of Mr.Barron. It shouldn’t be taken for granted when your part of a “movement” that is trying to get the ear of the American majority.

Thanks for your comments Richard.
You articulate many of the reasons why GayPatriot began in the first place — to counteract the self-perpetuating stereotypes of the anti-American gay Left.

Hey – who’s up for some pro-freedom, pro-capitalist responses to Obama’s SOTU? I don’t have Ron Paul’s on hand, but here is Jonah Goldberg’s: http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/289402/obama-s-vision-spartan-america-jonah-goldberg
And Peter Schiff’s: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtBH4t4VY2A&feature=g-all-u&context=G23c28b1FAAAAAAAAGAA

George Will had a pretty good response as well and he really nails progressives like Obama and Levi:
Which is another way of saying, dragging us kicking and screaming into “the future.”
