shocking about the Romney endorsement from Newsday. I am a 40+ year resident of Long Island, and know that Newsday is truly a very, very liberal rag, to the point of progessivism. They have lost much of the Long Island readership with their overtly pro-Dem partisanship over the years. Indeed, many Long Islanders, seeing no respite from hich costs and taxes — promoted by Newsday — have left the “Island” over the last 20 years. I think their endorsement though is too late: not for Romney, but for the Island.

I admit I don’t know the political leanings of the various papers involved, but I do think it significant that many of the papers who endorsed Obama in 2008 are endorsing Romney this time around.
I am not convinced the endorsements make a ton of difference in how people vote, but I think many of the arguments have been sound and echo very much my own feelings regarding Obama and his lack of leadership.

If a newspaper endorsement can help even one person change his/her vote for Romney, it is worth the effort. It sure can’t hurt.
One humorous thing of note – read the endorsements of papers backing Obama. It makes you wonder what color the sky is in their world!

governing of Mass a success? You might hear a different story if you talk to the folks in Mass. Yes, he avoided large raises in taxes, but he increased a swath of state fees exponentially to cover the shortfall – he made no changes in gov’t that saved money. Also, he was a one-termer, because he knew there was no way he would win if he ran for a second term.
He’s sent jobs offshore and keeps his money offshore to avoid payment of taxes. There’s no reason to believe that the will be any kind of changes or reform in a positive way for the country under this guy.

Oh, the malicious and hatemongering liar Kevin is showing up here now, screeching and crying:
So the malicious and desperate gay bigot wants to make THOSE kind of accusations?
Well, then the bigot can suck on this:
And this:
And this:
See that, bigot Kevin? Three REAL examples showing how bigot gays like you openly support and endorse real, actual, PROVEN tax cheats.
So you can shove it. You are tax cheats and liars and criminals. Obama supporters like you are nothing but malicious, hatemongering bigots who commit crimes and then scream and attack others.

Hey, Kevin, if you can elude the rampaging mobs of Republicans who are trying to exterminate you for a moment, I have a question I would like an answer to: Why the heck do you care more about what Mitt Romney does with his own money than what Obama does with *our* money?
