  1. Are we still worried about the fact that there exists a liberal news source, albeit one that doesn’t have as much influence as the Republican News Network (FOX) that attempts to report what the president is doing and/or saying?

Jesus Christ, Blatt. I see these posts come through my Google Reader 9 times a week and I usually ignore them but the whining is getting to be a bit much.

  2. So Evan ignores the other mouth pieces for the DNC – ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, PBS and accuses FOX of having a bias. You are a good little comrade, Evan.

  3. Evan,

You miss the point of “Christ is the reason of the season.” Your reference to Jesus Christ is a bit bizarre. Perhaps you might have better tried to make you emphasis with something more relevant to you and yours such as “Barack Obama, Blatt.”

As to the flaw in your Google Reader which pops up 9 times a week, perhaps a geek can fix it for you.

“The fact that there exists a liberal news source” bleat makes me wonder if you would say the same about unemployment, deficits, and the flu.

Merry Christmas and may the spirit of Jesus Christ infuse you with the humility to help you in being a thoughtful and loving brother in your journey through life.

  4. Why do leftists get so pissy when they are reminded of their near-absolute control of the media?

  5. Was Dan paying attention to politics this week?

Boehner spent all week prepping an uncompromising bill that he knew would not get through the Senate, that he knew would not get past Obama’s veto pen, and that he ultimately couldn’t even get his members to vote for. Republicans are responsible for this entire chain of events due to their unwillingness to raise the debt ceiling, which resulted in our credit rating being lowered and likely caused significant harm to the economy.

And here comes Dan to represent the Party of Personal Responsibility by whining some more about Obama properly assigning blame to the GOP for not even trying to help get this thing fixed. They’re wasting time. They’re not negotiating or demonstrating any willingness to compromise. This is a forced crisis that they initiated for political purposes. This is obvious, but Dan wants to have a big cry because somebody might hold the Republicans responsible!

    Pathetic as usual!

  6. I hear Obama is going to give a eulogy for the death of “Plan B”

BTW… Just for future reference, Republicans, you might want to not name things after birth control pills in the future.

  7. “Boehner spent all week prepping an uncompromising bill that he knew would not get through the Senate”

someone explains the resident retard that the senate had no intention to pass anything anyway unless there was a public declaration of Dumbama as Emperor of the universe.

    And the republicans are obstructionists?

    What is your problem?

  9. Dealing with the empty chair is like trying to play chess with a pigeon; he knocks the pieces over, craps on the board, and flies back to its flock to claim victory

This in a nutshell is the essence of the obama Residency

  10. someone explains the resident retard that the senate had no intention to pass anything anyway unless there was a public declaration of Dumbama as Emperor of the universe.

    And the republicans are obstructionists?

Yes. If two sides are negotiating a deal, and one side decides to withdraw from negotiations and go outside to do a rain dance, that side is obstructing progress on making a deal.

Republicans know what the Senate wants to pass, and no there’s no such declaration. But Democrats have no idea what the House is capable of passing, which again – makes you the obstructionists.

This much should be obvious to children.

  11. Ah yes. It’s a day ending in Y, so it has to be another lie filled rant by Levi.

    fact

To avoid a downgrade, S&P said the United States needed to not only raise the debt ceiling, but also develop a “credible” plan to tackle the nation’s long-term debt.
In its report Friday, S&P ruled that the U.S. fell short: “The downgrade reflects our opinion that the … plan that Congress and the Administration recently agreed to falls short of what, in our view, would be necessary to stabilize the government’s medium-term debt dynamics.”

Who was trying to get spending cuts and who was wanting just more debt?

And let’s not forget, Obama knows raising taxes will bring in less money and doesn’t care.

Facts, those things that are anethma to facists like Levi.

  13. Boehner spent all week prepping an uncompromising bill that he knew would not get through the Senate, that he knew would not get past Obama’s veto pen, and that he ultimately couldn’t even get his members to vote for.

    AND:

Yes. If two sides are negotiating a deal, and one side decides to withdraw from negotiations and go outside to do a rain dance, that side is obstructing progress on making a deal.

Like Obama and the Obama-controlled Senate did.

Republicans know what the Senate wants to pass, and no there’s no such declaration.

And the Obama Party Senate has made clear it won’t negotiate, it won’t compromise, and it won’t discuss; it will just obstruct anything the House passes.

So Barack Obama and the Senate are obstructionists who won’t negotiate and don’t want to do anything other than blame Republicans.

Glad you cleared that up, Levi boy.

    Now go change your pants.

  14. Simpson-Bowles, 2010:

    1. $1,661 billion of discretionary spending cuts by putting in place discretionary spending caps into law lower than what is projected to be spent.

    2. $995 billion in additional revenue with $785 billion in new revenues from tax reform by lowering income and corporate tax rates and broadening the base by eliminating tax expenditures. An additional $210 billion in revenue is also raised in other revenue by switching to the Chained-CPI and an increase in the federal gasoline tax

    3. $341 billion in federal health care savings by reforming the Sustainable Growth Rate for Medicare, repeals the CLASS Act (which has already happened), increase Medicare cost sharing, reform health-care tort, change provider payments, increase drug rebates and establishes a long-term budget for total federal health-care spending after 2020 to GDP + 1 percent.

    4. $215 billion in other mandatory savings by moving to the Chained CPI for all inflation-indexed programs, reform the military and civil service retirement system, reduce farm subsidies, reduce student loans and various other reforms.

    5. $238 billion in Social Security reform, to be used to ensure the program is sustainably solvent in the infinite horizon by slowing benefit growth for high and medium-income workers, increase the early and normal retirement age to 68 by 2050 and 69 by 2075 by indexing it to longevity, index cost of living adjustments to the Chained-CPI, include newly hired state and local workers after 2020, increase the payroll tax cap to cover 90 percent of wages by 2050 and creates a new minimum and old-age benefit.

    6. Budget Process Reforms by creating discretionary spending caps and caps total federal revenue at 20 percent of GDP.
An additional $673 billion is saved due to lower projected spending interest payments as a result from lower deficits.

On December 2, 2012, Tim Geithner made the rounds on the Sunday talk shows with this plan:

    1. Raise tax revues by $1.6 trillion.

    2. A new stimulus spending package of at least $50 billion.

    3. Give the President the ability to unilaterally raise the debt limit.

We the people would like to see the Obama plan for cutting the budget as a part of the comprehensive reform package that will bring the deficits down and the federal budget into balance while strengthening the economy and reducing unemployment.

Will one of you Obamanauts kindly direct us to the plans Obama/Geithner have put forward for returning our nation to fiscal stability? You hated the Ryan plan and you don’t like the Boehner plans, so could you please put forward your plan and the explanation of how it would reach the goals of restoring the economy?

Obama has ignored the Simpson-Bowles plan in its entirety. So, perhaps you can explain the better solution available as an option.

Or, am I correct that Obama is voting present and demagoguing? Do you suppose that Obama has no plan and doesn’t even care? Is it just the case that Obama merely wants the Republicans to go first so that he can demagogue them and do the Alinsky tap-dance on their foreheads?

You and “The Won” have won another four years. When will you explain what it is you need in order to lead us out of the valley of the shadow of economic ruin? Why does it appear that you and yours don’t have a clue and don’t begin to have what it takes to lead?

Please rank order the Republicans to blame and what specifically they accomplished in outmaneuvering the Progressives to hamstring and befuddle Obama and the US Senate.

Helio…. Yep. Simpson Bowles was not perfect by any means, but it was at lest a decent starting point. He lost all credibility when instead of using that as a starting point he simply pretended it didn’t even exist.

Someone needs to tell Barack Obama—it must get particularly confusing this time of year—that his own birth is not Year One, the date around which all other events are understood.

hey cargo cultist, why should I be interested in what you have to say? Last post I wrote something substantial and irrefutable you closed your ears and yelled “LA LA LA I CAN’T HEAR YOU, I AM A CARGO CULTIST BUT I VOTED LIBERTATIAN”
