  1. Reprehensible.

  2. Over and over and over again the lefts penchant for violence keeps showing itself. And over and over and over again they keep showing a complete inability to see it.

  3. The statist-left has exercised no restraint whatsoever from unleashing the true hatred and violence they hold in their hearts. They are absolutely a deranged set of people. So sad.

    Comment by Dean — January 3, 2013 @ 8:30 pm - January 3, 2013

  4. Auto: As I just happened to say earlier today, it is characteristic of lefties that they accuse others of doing what the leftie does (or wants to do), or of being what the leftie is in fact.

In this case, ‘violent at heart’.

  5. But John Boehner kills people with his lack of support of gun control!!!11!!!11!!! Or something.

  6. And, no doubt, Donald Kaul goes to bed every night smugly assured that he is our moral and intellectual superior.

  7. Why hasn’t the Secret Service paid a visit to the Des Moines Register’s offices? If you or I had an editorial printed to the same in the same newspaper about the Democratic leaders on the Hill, we’d be in handcuffs.

Must be the David Gregory-rule in-force.

  8. Just think – this asinine column had to get passed editors.

    Comment by SoCalRobert — January 3, 2013 @ 10:12 pm - January 3, 2013

  9. The victim disarmament movement is gaining speed on the Left. These people want to make sure every murderer can slaughter his victims unopposed.

The entire gun-control movement began as an attempt to disarm African-Americans in the South. How many of these “progressive” ignoramuses even know that?

The “journalists” who write this anti-gun tripe probably all have permits to pack heat.

  10. Inciting violence against ones foes has long been the Bolshevik modus operandi.

    Comment by Victoria — January 4, 2013 @ 4:04 am - January 4, 2013

  11. If not for double standards …

Here’s a fun game, ask yourself if the Journal News “Gun Map” and editorial would have been written had the focus been gays instead of gun owners — and who do you suppose would have been screaming and demanding that heads roll had that theoretical article and map been written?

ILC is spot-on. We see ourselves in others. Which doesn’t speak well of Leftists at all, if they can spew this much venom and hypocricy and be unaware of how they look doing it.

    Thanks for posting!

  12. The Demoines Register.com posts this:

Donald Kaul suffered a heart attack back in July and discontinued writing his weekly column for the opinion website OtherWords.org. Depending upon how you count, that was Kaul’s second or third retirement. Today, Kaul announces that he’s ba-a-a-ck. This time, he’s only promising to write when events move him and not to be pinned down by a weekly column. — Opinion Editor

The Opinion Editor went so far as to promote the return of the Kaul. That does not mean the editor actually read the piece, but I know what s/he is tap-dancing out is Morse Code: I•T•IS•J•U•S•T•A•N•O•P•I•N•I•O•N.

Do you suppose they would like my opinion column on welfare death panels whereby the cost of keeping people on the dole is weighed against their general utility to society?

  13. Something tells me this story won’t be covered by the Des Moines Register. Obama voter goes on rampage after being unable to buy iPads with food stamps.

    Comment by V the K — January 4, 2013 @ 10:29 am - January 4, 2013

  14. But “Romney voter goes on rampage after being unable to buy Bibles with food stamps”, you know that would get tons! of coverage.

  15. Off Topic ……

John Kerry’s Senate seat will soon be open.

Barney Frank says he would like to be appointed.

Can anyone write a headline that does not connect Barney to Kerry’s seat?

  16. John Kerrey, Liz Warren, Barney Frank, Ted Kennedy… WTF is wrong with Massachusetts? Is everybody in that state a retard, or do they just plain hate America?

  17. Obama voters not happy with their smaller paychecks Bwah ha haha haha ha ha. Elections have consequences, bitchez!!!

  18. The local tabloid-paper has a front-page outrage over how the “workers” are being “robbed” by the addl. 2% deducted to contribute to (their) Social Security…and the injustice of it all. These same “workers” would be rioting in the streets if their benefits checks were cut by 2%…since their entitled and paid-into Social Security.

    Hello!!… Cause -> Effect. Taxes -> Benefits.

  19. V the K — we (MA residents) don’t all hate America. Some of us were born and have family in MA. We might be conservatives adrift in a sea of Blue, but conservatives DO exist here, and more than you might think.

    Comment by Acethepug — January 4, 2013 @ 12:09 pm - January 4, 2013

  20. Acethepug, so WTF is wrong with the rest of the people in Mass?

    Comment by V the K — January 4, 2013 @ 12:15 pm - January 4, 2013

  21. And I am not asking facetiously. I really don’t get how Massachusetts can choose to send the worst possible sort of people to Washington, year after year after year.

  22. In Ohio at least I blame the 3 C’s (and voter fraud in at least one of them) for our Senators. And voter stupidity.

“Hmm, Unemployement across the nation is going up, but in Ohio it’s going down. Thank Obama Ohio’s unemployment is going down.”

    Comment by The_Livewire — January 4, 2013 @ 1:00 pm - January 4, 2013

  23. V the K, I can’t answer that for you. I just wanted to let you know there are some of us who know our asses from our elbows — who never bought into the Camelot of the Kennedys. I’m still scratching my head on how Liawatha got elected.

Basically I expect most of the electorate of MA, much like most of the country, isn’t feeling the pain personally enough to understand that they are in essence the architects of their own misery. Sadly, MA is pretty well off, economically, so a lot of people are insulated against some of the problems — Obamacare’s attacks on medical technology might change that.

And we collectively re-elected mini-me (Patrick). I don’t know, sometimes we do well, when we elect a Weld, and then we backslide into stupidity with Patrick, or in keeping Mumbles Menino around.

Don’t blame me, *I*voted for Kodos (Simpsons reference).

But there are some of us here who DON’T like where the state and country are going. Just not enough, yet. Maybe if enough of them move to NH, we can reclaim sanity.

    Thanks for asking :)

  26. I’m still scratching my head on how Liawatha got elected.

She has lady parts. Kind, compassionate, soothing lady parts. She feels your pain. (So much so, she sold her de rigeur Euro-peon academicmobile for a UAW-made one.)

Besides, her opponent was one of those nasty white-male Republicans (and you can be sure they all high-five Todd Akin every chance they get). You know he doesn’t feel your pain; he barely feels his own, like any knuckle-dragging Neanderthal. [Plus, he wears a barn jacket—a barn jacket!—and still drives a pickup truck.]

Plus, she wasn’t visibly clueless like Martha Coakley was; Fauxcahontas was at least willing to hang around Fenway Park and pretend she, too, loves baseball—or hockey, or whatever it is they play there. That, and the Kennedyesque drivel about caring for the average joes and the pain they feel (while deflecting her own reality of getting paid $300K to teach two classes at Hahvahd Law) pretty much made her a shoo-in when beloved Barry was at the top of the ticket.
