I think you have a short memory. I remember when Cindy Sheehan was the voice of the dems. What’s happening in the republican party is what happens to election losers. A vacuum exists and the .media look for someone to step up and fill it.
Whoever will sell more copy gets nominated.

Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz have both been very eloquently articulating conservative ideas since the election. Of course, the MFM/DNC won’t give them any oxygen, for two reasons:
1. Because putting them on TV might make people question the “Republicans Hate Hispanics” narrative the MFM/DNC has been pushing.
2. The MFM/DNC is really only interested in promoting “Republicans” who bash Republicans, like Colin Powell, Chris Christie, and Joe Scarborough.

Not like this is anything new. They setup strawman arguments and then look for anyone Republican saying or doing something that supports it. Unfortunately, all too often, there is some Republican that says or does something really stupid that supports the narrative (e.g. Richard Mourdock (rape), Mitt Romney (Chrysler, 47%), Todd Akin (legitimate rape), etc.).
There are eloquent spokespersons who are Republicans but who’s to say who the “real” Republican spokespersons are? Rubio and Cruz do make a lot of sense but do they speak for the Republican Party or themselves. Their statements are undercut when Republicans like Boehner bring bloated spending bills to the floor of the House that don’t even have majority Republican support.

Actually where I get frustrated with the media is that they give tons of coverage and attention to things that may hurt the GOP and its representatives, but will ignore things or give light coverage to things that will harm the DNC and its representatives.
Cindy Sheehan is a great example. She was given legitimate voice and attention after her son died. Her protest outside Bush’s home in Texas got tons of attention. Tyrone Woods’s father got almost no attention. Benghazi has gotten little attention-especially the sort that really seeks to find answers even if they harm the president (my biggest question I have had and the media hasn’t even answered is what decisions the president made over the course of the Benghazi attacks and where he was while they occurred but the media doesn’t seem to think the president was involved or holds any responsibility).
The media is derelict in its duty, and will happily ignore stories that are harmful to this president or the democratically controlled senate.

Also, remember how the MFM were outraged…. OUTRAGED… that Republicans were “politicizing” the Benghazi shootings by asking questions and trying to learn the truth. It was OUTRAGEOUS.
But, when Obama politicizes Sandy Hook by pimping the corpses of dead children in support of Gun Control… high fives all-around.

He is outraged because the NRA said we should protect children in schools with armed guards. How hypocritical can he get? I’m sure he’s protected by armed guards. Where’s his outrage at Obama having children on stage when he announced his executive orders? It’s really not too hard for the Democrats to craft narratives about the GOP to their liking when we have so many foot in mouth Republicans.

Chris Christie is the new John McCain. The MFM love him because he’s bashing Republicans. And dishonest liberals are saying, “There’s a Republican I could vote for.” And like John McCain, they will all turn on him should he ever seek higher office.
