  9. #7 — No one who comments here has the ability to become pregnant (?!) I can assure you that lesbians have the same capacity for fertility as any other women. Many of us have actually — gasp! — borne children.

    What a concept.

  10. I have also noticed that a fair number of straight women comment here. One might assume that they are also capable of bearing children, and may actually have done so.

What is it with leftists and pin-headed stereotypes?

  12. anyone over the age of maybe five can see the complete lack of logic in Kevin’s statement. By his logic you cant legitimately support gun control unless you’ve been shot. You can’t support gay rights unless you are gay. You can’t hold any position or express any opinion as long as someone can word-play some kind of simple argument against it. That’s why it’s so hard to reason with liberals – they have no interest in finding truth, they’re only interested in arguing.

    Comment by trophyboy MN — January 26, 2013 @ 9:50 am - January 26, 2013

  13. You did a good thing. 650,000 people marching in DC for the unborn. The MSM will ignore it but somehow this is becoming a tidal wave that will amaze the brain dead left.

  14. I have been given the label of “pro-choice” by a sainted commenter on this site because I believe that abortion is a last resort medical decision arrived at between a woman’s physician and the woman who has had solid medical information about weighing her survival against the life of the fetus.

So, as a “pro-choice” person, I appreciate your efforts at helping to curb abortion as just another contraceptive action.

This sort of thing used to surprise me until Levi and the Obama Party he represents opened my eyes to their value structure:

Getting too drunk or forgetting your condoms or allowing yourself to be pressured into it by your horny boyfriend or the kind of everyday, run-of-the-mill bad decisions we all make, like spending 6 dollars on coffee or watching Jersey Shore.

    Comment by Levi — September 24, 2012 @ 1:57 pm – September 24, 2012

And then what they think about women’s mental capacity and mens’ level of responsibility.

Women, specifically teenage girls, get a lot of pressure from their boyfriends to have sex without condoms. And while it would be great to hope that these girls should be strong and resolute and could always explain to their guys why it’s important to be responsible and careful, that’s an unrealistic expectation and you know it. Men have a tendency to not plan ahead and be indulgent and can be very good at manipulating the emotions of the women they’re trying to sleep with…..

The pill is almost 100% effective and requires absolutely no effort or compromise on the part of the man, whereas condoms are less effective for about a half dozen reasons, including user error and the aforementioned reluctance of many men to use them at all.

    Comment by Levi — November 11, 2012 @ 12:55 pm – November 11, 2012

So the liberal position on abortion is perfectly explainable. Since they see women as little more than ignorant sex objects to be manipulated by men, and believe that the convenience of men outweighs all other considerations, then of course liberal women need abortions; they don’t have any other choice, since liberal men will force them to have unprotected sex whether they want to or not.

And of course, liberal MEN need abortions, because they’re not about to be “punished with a baby” or pay for one, and they’re certainly not going to wear a condom, accept no, or do anything that might impede their personal pleasure and convenience in the least.

Add to that the millions of dollars that the abortion industry launders from taxpayer payments for “women’s health” to Obama Party campaign coffers, and you have your answer.

That’s the summary. Liberals NEED abortion, both financially and socially. Their lifestyle, beliefs, and politics cannot function without baby-killing.

    It sure is, isn’t it?

And there’s even better than that:

Feinstein Opens Gun Control Presser with Prayer by Clergyman
“The gun lobby is no match for the cross lobby.”

The Very Rev. Gary Hall, dean of the National Cathedral in Washington, said Thursday morning that “people of faith” should come together to fight for gun control against the “gun lobby.” In his opening remarks at a press conference on gun control organized by California Democrat Dianne Feinstein, Hall spoke about the influence of the so-called gun lobby in Washington. “Now, everyone in this city seems to live in terror of the gun lobby,” Hall said. “But I believe the gun lobby is no match for the cross lobby.”

So frankly, Kevin, what is clear here is that your objection is not in making a statement on what God supports, but in making a statement that God’s wishes might run contrary to the Obama Party cult.

  17. The view of liberals like Kevin on abortion used to surprise me until I was educated by a certain sainted commenter here on what they actually believe:

Women, specifically teenage girls, get a lot of pressure from their boyfriends to have sex without condoms. And while it would be great to hope that these girls should be strong and resolute and could always explain to their guys why it’s important to be responsible and careful, that’s an unrealistic expectation and you know it. Men have a tendency to not plan ahead and be indulgent and can be very good at manipulating the emotions of the women they’re trying to sleep with…..

The pill is almost 100% effective and requires absolutely no effort or compromise on the part of the man, whereas condoms are less effective for about a half dozen reasons, including user error and the aforementioned reluctance of many men to use them at all.

    and what they actually practice.

Getting too drunk or forgetting your condoms or allowing yourself to be pressured into it by your horny boyfriend or the kind of everyday, run-of-the-mill bad decisions we all make, like spending 6 dollars on coffee or watching Jersey Shore.

So from a moral and social standpoint, liberals believe that men should not have to compromise or restrain themselves in any way in regard to sex, and that women are helpless subhuman creatures that have no capacity or right to resist or demand responsibility from the part of the man.

When you recognize that Sandra Fluke is in constant danger of a liberal male ordering her to spread or be emotionally browbeaten into doing it, the reason for her obsession with birth control and abortion becomes obvious; she literally has no other way of controlling her body.

And when you recognize that the primary concern of liberal men is in getting as much sex as they want, whenever they want, with no possibility whatsoever of having to pay or clean up for the end results, you can see why they encourage women to abort and demand that the state cover it.

Add to that the fact that Obama Party leaders have figured out how to profit off and launder taxpayer dollars via abortion, and it becomes immediately obvious why the primary goal of the Obama Party is to expand, push, promote, and demand as many abortions as possible.

Abortion is the perfect “progressive” solution. Men get the sex they want, women are trapped into supporting “progressives” or being forever locked in pregnancy, and the Party profits from it.

  18. Kevin.. I have given birth… Yes.. God is pro life.

Sad reality is.. everyone gay should be pro life. Its just a matter of time before the gay gene is discovered.
Pro aborts already kill off the person with down syndrome .. heck they kill off one twin because they only want a boy. They kill the child in the womb for various ‘reasons’… it will be nothing but designer babies..
the only way that gays will be born is from religious pro lifers… because we believe.. every life is precious. You, Kevin were designed by God .. wonderfully unique in every way.
the pro aborts on the other hand.. you were just a blob of cells. Nah.. they will abort the gay ‘blob of cells’ and keep trying for the next with the ..’whatever gene is popular at the time’. they are the most intolerant people on the planet.

  21. I have never understood two arguments from the anti life left.

#1 Being gay somehow means you also have to be pro abortion. This connection makes no sense.

#2 My most hated. That somehow only people with female plumbing get to have a real opinion on abortion, unless of course you are a man in favor of it, then plumbing no longer matters.

Abortion really isn’t about what plumbing a person has-abortion is really about how as a society we value the most innocent lives among us. Gay or straight men can certainly have an opinion on whether it is wrong to kill a baby in the womb-given the fact that they are all human and were once also inside their mother’s womb.

I always found it funny, because women don’t HAVE “the ability to become pregnant” without a man being involved in some way.

My personal suggestion: abortion should be made illegal in every case except when the mother’s life is directly threatened, with the punishment being the prosecution of the child’s father for manslaughter.

  24. Glad you could join us, Bruce! I’m also glad, though not surprised, to hear that all went well and you and your ground received warm welcomes. Given the temps and snowfall, that was probably the warmest part of the day!

What’s sad is the grief you take here from creeps like Kevin. Actually we should be happy he’s here for the insights he gives us into the warped thinking of the left on this issue. Other commenters have addressed him appropriately so I’ll let it go.

I am fortunate that I live in the WDC area so this was my third march.

What fascinates, and encourages, me, is how so many of the participants are young people in their teens or twenties, and of those how many are women. Sounds like a cliche, but it’s true, they are our future and they give me optimism.

  25. My personal suggestion: abortion should be made illegal in every case except when the mother’s life is directly threatened with the punishment being the prosecution of the child’s father for manslaughter.

I agree with the first part, but why should the father be prosecuted for manslaughter?

    Comment by Rattlesnake — January 26, 2013 @ 9:19 pm - January 26, 2013

  26. In a normal world, they wouldn’t be and shouldn’t be, Rattlesnake.

But in this topsy-turvy one in which we live, the simple fact of the matter is this: no one is taking responsibility for anything up to the, “Oh, I’m pregnant, so you have to give me an abortion at taxpayer expense or kill the kid” point.

So it would be simple. A woman does not spontaneously become pregnant; therefore, if no man is willing to have unprotected or Pill-only sex with her, she will never need an abortion.

And if a man wishes to have sex with a woman, he is responsible for any outcome from the moment he decides to stick it in, condom or no condom.

I assure you that the ardor and reluctance to use condoms of our esteemed commentor will be significantly chilled if he has to consider the fact that pregnancy will equal prison time for him.

And I also assure you that Sandra Fluke’s trust-fund boyfriend will decide to spring for a few condoms when the other option is five years of sex without them in a prison cell.

And, since it applies to the man, we deal neatly with the rape question.

    Comment by North Dallas Thirty — January 27, 2013 @ 1:07 am - January 27, 2013

  27. SO is the “You don’t have an opinion because you can’t be pregnant” a ‘chickenwomb’ argument?

    Comment by The_Livewire — January 27, 2013 @ 10:05 am - January 27, 2013

  28. But what if the pregnancy was planned, and something happens that results in the woman needing an abortion to save her life?

Or am I not reading your comment correctly? I read it as the man should be prosecuted with manslaughter if an abortion is needed to save the mother’s life. Now I can see that that might not have been what you were saying. I think a woman should be charged for murder if she gets an abortion, and the fahter should as well if he helped her get it (unless she needs the abortion to save her life, in which case no-one should be charged with anything).

    Comment by Rattlesnake — January 27, 2013 @ 3:38 pm - January 27, 2013

  29. Rattlesnake,

I think the key to NDT’s comments here are ‘in a normal world’.

In the real world, there’s little to no responsibility for the sperm donor. Sure some prison time for rape, or maybe child support for the consentual dad, but both are avoidable/minor.

The argument from the left seems to be legislating morality. Or, to be more precise, ‘legislating morality we like’. NDT is once again turning the argument on them. Currently the man has all the responsibility of the woman’s ‘choice’ and none of the rights. She can choose to keep the child, regardless of his wishes, and force him to pay child support (which can be avoided, as noted above) or she can chose to kill the child, and he has no say there either.

In fact, the man has everything to gain currently from the girl killing the child. He suffers no physical or monetary damage. All NDT is offering is making both choices ‘equal’ by punishing the sperm donor for his actions either way.

    Comment by The_Livewire — January 28, 2013 @ 10:24 am - January 28, 2013

  30. Exactly, Livewire.

And coupled with bringing the baby daddy up on manslaughter charges, I would also make it illegal to charge for an abortion – and therefore remove all taxpayer subsidy for organizations that provide abortions.

Watch how quickly the Obama Party discovers responsibility when a) their abortion clinics have to bear the cost in full and b) the money that they’ve been laundering back to the Obama Party dries up.

And in both cases, we’re doing what the Obama Party wants: they want to punish men, give women unlimited choice, and have it cost nothing.
