Washington Post Advocates Political Violence, New York Times Opposes Free Speech

When Eric Clanton was sneaking up behind pro-Trump supporters and bashing them in the head with a bike lock, that was OK, according to the Washington Post. Because, y’see, he was ‘fighting Nazism.’

Antifascists argue that after the horrors of chattel slavery and the Holocaust, physical violence against white supremacists is both ethically justifiable and strategically effective. We should not, they argue, abstractly assess the ethical status of violence in the absence of the values and context behind it. Instead, they put forth an ethically consistent, historically informed argument for fighting Nazis before it’s too late.

You see, political violence is OK if you think the other side are National Socialists.

Psst, Washington Post, you are aware, are you not, that what happened in Barcelona yesterday was political violence on the part of people who believed they were opposing evil and injustice, right?

And their sisters at the New York Times are arguing that the Free Speech rights of white people should be taken away, because white people have too much power and they should be silenced so that the Rainbow Coalition can scream at them. I am not making this up.

We are, as Scott Adams notes, in the middle of a mass public hysteria. Too people outside the current mass hysteria, it’s obvious that Donald Trump is not a Russian puppet, that Mike Pence has no desire to electrocute gay teenagers, and … most of all… that racism is not running amok in the country. To those of us with a lease on sanity, the deranged left look like crazed Salem witch-hunters. It’s only the people who have lost their minds inside the bubble of hysteria that this makes sense.

Unfortunately, the people who run our mass media complexes are the ones who have lost their minds. Unable to come to terms with Hillary’s loss, they’ve retreated into a bubble of hysteria where perfidious Russians control the Government and half the country are racist Nazis who must be purged… violently if necessary.

We condemn racists – and violent socialists

Racism is stupid and wrong.

Violating others’ rights to their own life, liberty and property is stupid and wrong.

Therefore, slavery is stupid and wrong. Discrimination is stupid and wrong. Crime is stupid and wrong. Tyranny/dictatorship is stupid and wrong. And socialism is stupid and wrong.

We condemn and disavow the racist, criminal and/or tyrannical beliefs and actions that manifest among neo-Nazis, KKK, white identitarians, any of the #WhiteLivesMatter types of U.S. citizens.

We condemn the racist, criminal and/or tyrannical beliefs and actions that manifest among the Antifa, #BlackLivesMatter or any other left-wing types of U.S. citizens.

We condemn and disavow criminal violence wherever it manifests, whether among Alt Left demonstrators, Alt Left nutcases (like that guy who shot up Congress), Alt Right demonstrators, or Alt Right nutcases (like that guy who rammed his car at counter-demonstrators).

To the extent that they can keep it non-violent, we support both the Alt Left and Alt Right in exercising their First Amendment right to demonstrate. However stupid or offensive their statements may seem.

We support Liberty under the Rule of Law, including the First Amendment. #AllLivesMatter

We note that the Democrat party is the party of institutional and historical racism in the U.S. And the party of socialism. As such, we call upon all Democrats to disavow the violence and bigotry that manifest among the Antifa and #BlackLivesMatter types of people; which, at present, most Democrats are busy denying or excusing.

In a saner world, all of the above statements would be obvious and non-controversial. Perhaps not even needing to be said.

Peaceful March on Google, postponed after Alt Left threats

I mentioned last Thursday (before Charlottesville) that a 9-city March on Google was planned for Aug 19. Just to follow up, it’s postponed:

The Peaceful March on Google has been postponed due to credible Alt Left terrorist threats for the safety of our citizen participants.

Despite our clear and straightfoward statements denouncing bigotry and hatred, CNN and other mainstream media made malicious and false statements that our peaceful march was being organized by Nazi sympathizers.

Following the articles, credible threats from known Alt Left terrorist groups [were received]…

We hope to hold our peaceful march in a few weeks’ time.

We look forward to the day when the human right of peaceful Free Speech is once again able to be practiced in America.

Addendum about the march’s organizers: (more…)

And John McCain’s, and Marco Rubio’s, and Mitt Romney’s…

Since CNN says there’s no such thing as the ‘alt-left,’ these guys must be part of the Democrat Coalition, yes?

Update: Three Antifa Democrats arrested outside Chicago Courthouse chanting “Cops and Klan go hand-in-hand.”

Congratulations Democrats, you have happily accepted ownership of these people.

Tech CEO Boots Site for “Abhorrent Content,” Then Laments Internet Censorship

Interesting.

Today, Cloudflare reversed its long-held policy to remain content-neutral and booted The Daily Stormer out from behind its DDoS protection service.

“This was my decision. This is not Cloudflare’s general policy now, going forward,” Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince told Gizmodo. “I think we have to have a conversation over what part of the infrastructure stack is right to police content.”

However, having policed the internet, Mr. Prince went on to complain about the hazards of policing the internet.

Prince explained in an internal email to staffers that he doesn’t think CEOs of internet companies should be in the position of policing content on their networks—he told Gizmodo he thinks that’s a job that should ultimately be left up to law enforcement if the content violates the law—but felt pushed to act because the operators of the Daily Stormer are “assholes.”

“We need to have a discussion around this, with clear rules and clear frameworks. My whims and those of Jeff [Bezos] and Larry [Page] and Satya [Nadella] and Mark [Zuckerberg], that shouldn’t be what determines what should be online,” he said. “I think the people who run The Daily Stormer are abhorrent. But again I don’t think my political decisions should determine who should and shouldn’t be on the internet.”

Reading between the lines, I get the sense that he would prefer Big Government step in and simply make it illegal for people with whatever the state decides are “Fringe” political opinions to be banned from the internet.

Alphabet Soup

Yes, this is a real thing. You see, we have to divide people into categories… for inclusiveness.

Now, every 1st Amendment advocate is a Nazi

As V pointed out earlier, Now, Everybody Who Isn’t a Radical Is a Nazi. The same goes for First Amendment supporters.

Here is the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Among other things, it means that horrible Nazi-leaning citizens get to peaceably assemble and demonstrate. So do horrible Commie-leaning citizens (Antifa) – if it’s done “peaceably”.

And what does “peaceably” mean? It does NOT mean smiles, rainbows, unicorns, or coming all unarmed. Nope. It means:

  1. The demonstrators co-ordinate with local authorities to prevent problems. Including (but not limited to) them getting a permit.
  2. If problems occur anyway, they obey lawful commands to disperse (and can be prosecuted if they don’t).
  3. Others can show up and counter-demonstrate, but…
  4. those others have NO superior rights or authority. For example, counter-demonstrators have no right to attack. It is NEVER “understandable” or “justified” if they attack, no matter how odious are the demonstrators’ opinions, signs or speeches.

Under those terms: Nazis, KKK, or even Commies (Antifa) are allowed to assemble and do a little march. This is why, in 1978, the ACLU successfully defended the right of neo-Nazis to march in Skokie, IL.

Here’s the point: EVERY American, no matter their color or background or life experience, must accept this. Because, that’s America. It’s how America rolls.

Now, what happened in Charlottesville last weekend?

  • Various groups, not limited to white racists, got a permit to assemble in a park.
  • They began to assemble peaceably.
  • BEFORE anything bad happened – indeed, even before the start time on their permit – Democrat Governor McAuliffe declared them unlawful and ordered them to disperse.
  • Counter-demonstrators did not have a permit, assembled anyway and, by many first-hand accounts and videos, physically attacked the demonstrators as they were dispersing.
    • Correction: The counter-demonstrators were permitted for 2 nearby parks; still NOT the park nor the streets where the demonstrators were.
  • After an hour or two of that: one person, possibly with the demonstrators or possibly mentally ill, rammed a car into the counter-demonstrators.

Horrific as that final crime was, are those counter-demonstrators who attacked people somehow “understandable” or “justified” or “morally better”? Not under the terms of the First Amendment.

So, should President Trump call out the demonstrators alone and give them all the blame? Not under the terms of the First Amendment.

Either you support the First Amendment, or you don’t. If you do, then you have to put your focus on neutrally defending everyone’s First Amendment rights, as President Trump does.

This goes for the colossal dummies Rubio, Romney, McCain, and all you Democrats and SJWs out there. If you believe in the First Amendment, you’ll unite behind the President’s approach. If you don’t, we know the truth about you.

It’s time to remember your Constitution and rally behind First Amendment rights (and other rights, like due process) for all citizens, especially the ones you can’t stand.

UPDATE – Icing it: Atlanta leftie mob tears down a Peace Monument. Because, yes, mobs are that stupid.

You knew, you had to know, that the left would take their glorious victory in Charlottesville and overplay their hand. Getting the approval of the media and certain Republicans for their violence (“It’s OK because it was against racist bigots”), the left is now running around painting every group that opposes the Progressive Left agenda as “Nazis” and “White Supremacists.”

The NRA… yup, they’re Nazis.

Pro-Lifers… white supremacists. (Ignore, please, that Planned Parenthood exterminates disproportionate numbers of black babies and was founded by a racist for that purpose.)

Republicans are White Supremacists unless they totally cave to all demands of the Taliban left.

Christians… yup, also White Supremacists.

It’s one thing when the Democrat Left is calling people carrying Nazi flags and throwing Hitler salutes at a rally Nazis. You wonder how that will play with ordinary people being shouted at, “The things you believe in make you a Nazi racist!”

There Is Another Way

A black man has devoted his life to befriending KKK members. His friendship has persuaded many people to leave the organization. This is what effective resistance to white supremacy looks like. People who go at it with clubs and rocks are just looking to make violence.

Daryl Davis has a unique hobby.

In his spare time, he befriends white supremacists. Lots of them. Hundreds. He goes to where they live. Meets them at their rallies. Dines with them in their homes. He gets to know them because, in his words, “How can you hate me when you don’t even know me? Look at me and tell me to my face why you should lynch me.”

He also is a collector of KKK robes. He collects them as souvenirs when KKK members decide to give up on racism because of his friendship.

Davis, a Christian, has met with white supremacists for three decades. He never tries to convert the Klansmen. He simply becomes friends with them and they give up the KKK on their own. According to an interview with The Independent, Davis is “happy” to be friends with former Klansmen.

Before they decided that it was okay to “punch Nazis,” the left used to claim that violence only begets violence, that using violence only perpetuated a “cycle of violence.” But now, they’re all like… “Violence, yeah man, violence. Far out.”

The Culture Purge Rolls On

Baltimore’s Taliban left removed all of the city’s Confederate Monuments last night. A city spokesmen said they will all be destroyed. Yeah, that should solve Baltimore’s violent gang problem.

So, where does it end? And when do the book burnings start?

When lefties are in denial

In response to President Trump’s comments yesterday, Sen. Kaine (D – Hillary) said this:

Charlottesville violence was fueled by one side: white supremacists spreading racism, intolerance & intimidation. Those are the facts.

No, Senator. Your son, Linwood, was arrested and in jail for spreading violence, intolerance and intimidation on behalf of the Left. Then charged with multiple misdemeanors. Those are the facts.

By the way – search “creepy tim kaine” sometime, and view the Images tab. It’s a creepy hoot.

UPDATE – When Marco Rubio condones violence:

The organizers of events which inspired & led to #charlottesvilleterroristattack are 100% to blame for a number of reasons… When entire movement built on anger & hatred towards people different than you, it justifies & ultimately leads to violence against them.

Rubio loves to go on about his love of America and how our founding principles are important to him; but, evidently, the concept of Free Speech escapes him.

Rubio just said that, if you don’t like somebody’s speech or beliefs or marching permit, you’re “justified” (his concept) in attacking them violently. U.S. criminal law would beg to differ with Senator Rubio.

UPDATE – When McCain joins him:

There’s no moral equivalency between racists & Americans standing up to defy hate& bigotry. The President of the United States should say so

Let’s be clear:

  • There is definite moral equivalence between U.S. neo-Nazis and Antifa.
  • There is definite moral equivalence between the various #WhiteLivesMatter types and #BlackLivesMatter.
  • Antifa has been committing crimes of violence against human beings (not just property) for months or years, and #BlackLivesMatter has spread bigotry and incited riots and cop-killings.

If McCain is in denial about that, he does not belong in the Senate.

Triggering the media

I keep hearing that the media is heavily filtering President Trump’s comments yesterday. So let’s get a bit closer to the real thing.

Trump says why his statements on Charlottesville were the right statements, in the right way at the right time. A triggered melee of voices strives to interrupt him.

YouTube Preview Image

[before the extract above] “I didn’t wait long. I wanted to make sure, unlike most politicians, that what I said was correct…It takes awhile to get the facts. You still don’t know [all] the facts.”

“I think the driver of the car is a disgrace to himself, his family and his country. You can call it terrorism, you can call it murder… The driver of the car is a murderer, and what he did is a horrible, horrible, inexcusable thing.”

“Senator McCain? You mean, the one who voted against Obamacare [replacement]? The one who voted against us getting good health care?”

“What about the Alt Left, that came charging at the Alt Right? …They came charging with clubs in their hands, swinging. Do they have any problem? I think they do… That was a horrible day…You had a group on one side that was bad, and you had a group on the other side that was also very violent. And nobody wants to say that, but I’ll say it right now. You had a group on the other side that came charging in, without a permit, and they were very violent.”

“This week, it’s [protesting a traditional statue of] Robert E. Lee. I notice that Stonewall Jackson’s coming down. I wonder, is it George Washington next week? And is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?”

“You had a group on one side and you had a group on the other and they came at each other with clubs and it was vicious and it was a horrible thing to watch…I think there’s blame on both sides, and I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either, and if you reported it accurately, you would say it.”

“George Washington was a slave owner. So, will George Washington now lose his status? Are we going to take down statues of him? How about Thomas Jefferson? …You’re changing history, you’re changing culture, and you had people – I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally – but you had many people [who just wanted to keep the traditional statue], and the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also [who wanted the statue to come down], you had some fine people, but you also had troublemakers…with the baseball bats.”

“There are two sides to a story. I thought that what took place was a horrible moment for our country.”

The one thing that I would regret in the above, is that President Trump should (and didn’t yet) call for a universal, national pledge against political violence, that Left and Right alike would be required to take – if they want to be regarded as moral or responsible.

The media (like CNN) and the Democrats must be made to disavow the violence and bigotry of Antifa and #BlackLivesMatter.

Having the Right disavow the violence and bigotry of the #WhiteLivesMatter types is easy, a small price to pay, something that I’m happy to do. Because anyone who believes in tradition or God or liberty for real will know instinctively that #AllLivesMatter. (Plus the fact that the #WhiteLivesMatter types are crypto-leftists anyway.)

While Republicans Cower; the Left Plots More Violence

Republicans like Marco Rubio and Mitt Romney are justifying the violence committed by the left-wing because it is (supposedly) done in service of anti-racism. Meanwhile, the left is plotting to escalate their violent attacks. And why not, when the Media and Politicians are giving them cover and support?

Now there’s a face that says, “I have 15 minutes to look badass before Mom gets home.”

The Violent Femme Left is feeling pretty empowered now that the media and their Democrat political allies are covering for them and Republicans are sticking up for them. This only means they are going to escalate their violence.

On the other side, the good ol’ boys of 4Chan have initiated “Operation Lenin Down,” a plot to topple statues of Lenin (which have no business existing in the USA) in revenge for the Taliban Left’s attacks on monuments to Confederate Leaders and the Founding Fathers.

Hey, if respectable people won’t stand up for decency, then unrespectable people will have to.

More Google updates

Just to round out today’s earlier post, we also have new interviews in Breitbart’s Rebels of Google series.

UPDATE – Everyone we don’t like is Raaaaaaaaaysist: CNN falsely smears the planned March on Google as a “White Nationalist”, “Alt Right” event.

To begin with, the organizers of March on Google are known to be pro-peace, anti-racist and anti-Alt Right. But they also say it pointedly, at this link.

Code of Conduct for March on Google

The March on Google condemns and disavows violence, hatred, and bigotry and all groups that espouse it such as White Nationalists, KKK, Antifa, and NeoNazis.
We will not use messages that are designed to incite anger, hate, or violence.
We will respect the law and the police and cooperate in all matters.
Any violation of these tenets will not be tolerated.
Is this an “Alt-Right” event? The answer is no. This is an event for First Amendment supporters from across the country, from all backgrounds, ethnicity, and walks of life.

CNN could have checked it easily. Instead, CNN published a complete falsehood – once again attempting to smear anyone who challenges them, or Google or the hard Left, as racists.

Hey, lefties: This is why Trump won (be that good or bad). This is why rational, honest people reject and despise the Left.

UPDATE: Peaceful March on Google is postponed, due to Alt Left terrorist threats following the CNN slanders.

CNN’s promotion of left-wing violence

Reminder:

CNN has been fairly silent about Antifa – until yesterday, when CNN did a whitewash piece on Antifa that failed to label it a terrorist, criminal or Trotskyite organization.

According to an early report from Daily Caller, this extract would be as close as CNN came to admitting anything might be bad about Antifa:

The group is known for causing damage to property during protests. In Berkeley, black-clad protesters wearing masks threw Molotov cocktails and smashed windows at the student union center where the [Milo] Yiannopoulos event was to be held.

Absent: Any mention of Eric Clanton or Antifa’s other injurious, criminal assaults on human beings.

Present: Extensive justification, for the supposed mere “property damage”, from Antifa representatives:

[Scott] Crow[, a longtime Antifa organizer,] said members use violence as a means of self-defense and they believe property destruction does not equate to violence. “There is a place for violence. Is that the world that we want to live in? No. Is it the world we want to inhabit? No. Is it the world we want to create? No. But will we push back? Yes,” Crow said.

Then more of the same, from another Antifa organizer.

CNN may have edited the piece after Daily Caller saw it. Looking at it now, I do see one additional mention that Antifa might be kinda violent – from a certain krazy, racist, Alt Right point of view. That mention is followed by another “But…”, with justifying comments from an Antifa organizer, to whom CNN grants the last word.

Still absent: any hint of Antifa being on New Jersey’s official terror watch list. From CNN, you’d never know. Sad to say, this all fits in a larger pattern.

No word yet on whether CNN will do anything about either Wilson or Boykin. I doubt they will.

I call on CNN to explicitly disavow Antifa, #BlackLivesMatter, and all left-wing bigotry and violence. I call on President Trump to make a similar call upon CNN and Democrats everywhere, on behalf of all Americans.

Eric Clanton update: His preliminary hearing was supposed to be last week, but is now in September. “Clanton was charged in May with four counts of assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, with the special allegation of causing great bodily injury to Sean Stiles. He was also charged with wearing a mask to evade identification, a misdemeanor.”

A fair argument from Tucker that Google can no longer be trusted and, due to its out-sized influence, should be regulated as a public utility:

I don’t necessarily agree; competition to Google could still punish their evil ways. But I found Tucker’s case interesting.

An editorial from James Damore himself, in The Wall Street Journal.

In my document, I committed heresy against the Google creed by stating that not all disparities between men and women that we see in the world are the result of discriminatory treatment.

The March on Google is still on for this Saturday, August 19.

“All those idiots hurling the epithet ‘Nazi’ around this weekend, do they even know what the Nazi Party stands for? Well, I’ll tell you: Universal health care. Free education. Redistribution of wealth. Hooray for the little guy and boo large corporations and banks. After all, they’re *socialists*, fer crying out loud. The Nazi party platform could’ve been written by Occupy Wall Street or Bernie F*ing Sanders.”

Racism and violence are left-wing, part II

Our leftie commentors’ response to yesterday’s post on this was interesting – by what they never said. First, only 2 showed up. (Not that we have many to begin with, but on something big and controversial, usually they’ll support each other a bit more.) Second, they made zero effort to address the post’s main points:

  • that Nazis were/are socialists.
  • that, in all of American history (including today), the Democrats/Left have been the side of racist thinking (or racial categories), racial segregation, so-called “eugenics”, etc.
  • that there is nothing right-wing about the so-called Alt Right of 2017; excepting alone their choice to *claim* that they are somehow rightist.
    • (In 2016 or earlier, some actual rightists did adopt the “Alt Right” label thinking it was kicky and fun, but discarded the label when the #WhiteLivesMatter racists took it over.)
  • that, despite appearances, it’s ideologically and psychologically easy for white supremacists and hard leftists/Democrats to change into each other, pretend to be each other, etc.
  • Because the essence of both sides is tribal collectivism and the desire to punish one’s dissenting or dissimilar neighbor.

By contrast – What is it, to be conservative or right-wing? I’m no expert but the answers usually given will boil down to:

  1. Standing up for tradition. E.g., Catholic or other Christian rightists (whom, by the way, the Nazis hated). In the UK, it could mean monarchists supporting the Queen.
  2. Standing up for Liberty under the Rule of Law. In America, this means a love of everyone’s constitutional rights to life, liberty and property.

Neither are what white supremacists stand for. What they stand for is their approximation of racism-with-socialism; in other words, left-wing politics.

When will we start labeling them, not on the basis of what they *claim* to be (for some horrible marketing purpose of their own), but on the basis of their actual views? “Alt Left” would be closer.

For dessert: Steven Crowder on The Top 3 Ways in which Antifa and white nationalists are the same. In brief:

  1. Both readily disregard the law and Constitution.
  2. Both promote identity politics and play the Victim card.
  3. Both support Big Government / left-liberal policies (e.g., both want nationalized / single-payer health care).
  4. Bonus round: Both hate Israel.

Also, V the K’s comment:

The other truth that must not be spoken: The left is absolutely thrilled and delighted with what happened in Charlottesville.

The only way it could have made them happier is if their Antifa protesters had been shot by an NRA member.
