If It Weren’t for Double Standards

Amazing, isn’t it, how willingly the Democrat Media Complex accepts a denial from a Democrat as sufficient evidence to dismiss a scandal.

Yes, the foundation received money and Bill Clinton was paid to give a speech, but there’s no evidence the Clintons were paid by Russians to push through the uranium deal.

What were they expecting, a signed receipt? The Clintons received money explicitly for the purpose of greasing the skids for the Uranium One Deal, Andrew McCarthy has laid out the irrefutable case for this.

Note that, despite zero evidence, these are the same people proclaiming that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the election.

Guilt-Ridden White Pajama Boy Fantasizes About Violence

A writer at the leftist clickbait site Salon writes about the violent fantasies that both consume him and drive him deeper int self-loathing. (Safe link to Twitchy.)

At work, I’ve spaced out for 20 minutes at a time during meetings, daydreaming about committing violence, always righteously, in overly dramatic, obnoxiously heroic ways, with a very troubling overtone of white saviorism. In addition to saving the girls from a male predator with my brute strength and righteous rage, I’ve had another recurring fantasy of saving the passengers on a plane hijacked by “911-esque” terrorists. I tackle an armed hijacker, turn his gun on him, immediately inspire the other passengers to team up to distract the terrorists, and then deftly fire bullets into all three terrorists’ heads. Dark blood drips down their noses from the wounds on their foreheads. If the meeting is particularly boring, I’ll concoct permutations, new endings. Because it just feels so damn good. Like the dopamine rush of a sex fantasy.

He is coping with this by attending meetings of other white beta males who reinforce each others guilt and self-loathing, but it isn’t helping.

I sporadically attend an anti-racist/anti-sexist white male group (yep, those exist). I came into this week’s meeting, brooding. Emotional tumult, eyes boring into the ground, irked by the benign tone of the conversation. It’s time for my check-in. My heart pounds and I think I might cry.

Someone get him a tissue.

A David Bowie Story

A very touching story from Neil Gaiman’s tumblr. This is probably as much as I can excerpt. You’ll have to read the rest at the link.

My friend told me a story he hadn’t told anyone for years. When he used to tell it years ago people would laugh and say, ‘Who’d believe that? How can that be true? That’s daft.’ So he didn’t tell it again for ages. But for some reason, last night, he knew it would be just the kind of story I would love.

When he was a kid, he said, they didn’t use the word autism, they just said ‘shy’, or ‘isn’t very good at being around strangers or lots of people.’ But that’s what he was, and is, and he doesn’t mind telling anyone. It’s just a matter of fact with him, and sometimes it makes him sound a little and act different, but that’s okay.

Anyway, when he was a kid it was the middle of the 1980s and they were still saying ‘shy’ or ‘withdrawn’ rather than ‘autistic’. He went to London with his mother to see a special screening of a new film he really loved. He must have won a competition or something, I think. Some of the details he can’t quite remember, but he thinks it must have been London they went to, and the film…! Well, the film is one of my all-time favourites, too. It’s a dark, mysterious fantasy movie. Every single frame is crammed with puppets and goblins. There are silly songs and a goblin king who wears clingy silver tights and who kidnaps a baby and this is what kickstarts the whole adventure.

It was ‘Labyrinth’, of course, and the star was David Bowie, and he was there to meet the children who had come to see this special screening.

‘I met David Bowie once,’ was the thing that my friend said, that caught my attention.

‘You did? When was this?’ I was amazed, and surprised, too, at the casual way he brought this revelation out. Almost anyone else I know would have told the tale a million times already.

He seemed surprised I would want to know, and he told me the whole thing, all out of order, and I eked the details out of him.

He told the story as if it was he’d been on an adventure back then, and he wasn’t quite allowed to tell the story. Like there was a pact, or a magic spell surrounding it. As if something profound and peculiar would occur if he broke the confidence.

Hollywood and Gomorrah

So, now that Harvey Weinstein’s history is out in the open (the man seems unrepentant, for what it’s worth), there are some whispers that the next scandal to break will be Hollywood’s systematic sexual abuse of minors.

If this does become a scandal, I wonder if the defenders of the Hollywood Left will still try to claim nobody knew about it, even though people like Corey Feldman and others have been trying to warn people for years that this kind of thing goes on in Hollywood and involves some very big names.

Isn’t it also interesting that the head of the Motion Picture Association of America is, himself, a man with a history of sexual abusing women that’s OK because he was a Democrat Senator?

Happy Fun Times at the DNC

The TL;DR version of this story  (which comes from the left-leaning site ‘The Intercept’) is that Democrat National Committee chairhumanoid Thomas Perez, representing the radical left Democrat mainstream, is purging the acolytes of Keith Ellison, who represent the extreme left/Antifa/Bernie Sanders openly communist wing of the Democrat Party. And they are doing so under the banner of diversity, even though the people they are purging are mostly black, Hispanic, and/or gay.

“The DNC is spinning it as being about diversity and focusing on at-large, but we know the real power is with the committees, and the rules committee in particular, [which] determines rules for primaries and caucuses,” said Bond.

“The rules committee is where recommendations from the unity committee go. That’s where the grassroots of the party, the people that Keith Ellison represents, are being retaliated against, and that’s where you need to look if you want to see if Perez is really trying to unify the party, or consolidate power for the Clinton wing of the party.”

Frankly, it all sounds like a bunch of rival high school cliques arguing viciously over whether the Prom theme will be “United for the Struggle, Comrades” or “Struggle in Unity, Comrades.”

But I think this paragraph is my favorite.

The DNC denied any retaliation, saying that the changes were an effort to diversify and freshen the party’s leadership and that all the party’s officers had a chance to offer input. They touted new additions like Marisa Richmond, a millennial black transgender activist, and the first Dreamer member, Ellie Perez, to point to the DNC’s efforts at diversity.

So, they are bragging about promoting an illegal immigrant, and trying to pass off a 58-year-old trannie as a “Milliennial.”

Next, they will work on outreach to white, working-class voters… or, as Democrats call them, “Ignorant hick wingnuts who are too stupid to know what’s good for them.”

How to become a Democrat Rock Star in 2 Easy Steps. 1. Make an outrageous allegation against PDT. 2. Dress like you have no gay friends.

The Democrat Media Complex is so deranged with hatred for Trump (especially you, Jake Tapper and CNN) that they will promote any accusation, no matter how deranged, and no matter that the accusers are invariably middle-aged Democrat women who dress like amateur drag queens.

It actually started before the election, with shrill feminist Gloria Allred (whose daughter defended Harvey Weinstein) trotting out a parade of women to accuse Donald Trump of some vague manner of sexual impropriety. Then, they all disappeared. Poof!

Then, Congresswoman Maxine Waters began spouting off conspiracy theories of Russian collusion (spoiler alert, it was actually Bill and Hillary who were selling favors to the Russians) and screeching about impeachment from underneath a James Brown wig. This made the woman once named ‘the most corrupt member of Congress’ into a #Resistance superstar.

Then, the mayor of San Juan, PR decided that she wanted to be more than the incompetent mayor of a third world city, so she accused PDT of withholding relief from Puerto Rico (while standing in a warehouse filled with relief supplies), put on some custom-printed T-shirts with anti-Trump messages and accessorized them with ungodly hideous hipster eyeglasses and the Democrat Media Complex made her a rock star… for about a week and a half and then it came out she was spending all of her time promoting her brand and not even showing up for FEMA meetings and the politics became a little awkward.

And then, Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson saw her chance, fed the media a story of Trump insulting the family of a dead soldier in a way that didn’t come close to passing the smell test to anyone not consumed by Trump Derangement. No US President is ever going to call up the family of a fallen soldier and sneer at them. But that is precisely what Congresswoman Wilson is claiming and the Democrat Media Complex had an anti-Trump story from a “woman of color” so they ran with it like Usain Bolt.

Congresswoman Wilson also upped the fashion ante, dressing like a full on rodeo clown.

And she’s not even the worst dresser in the lot. The fashion editor who attacked Melania Trump’s shoes still wins, but just barely. (The lipstick Hitler moustache is a nice touch.)

The new face of the Democrat Party is a deranged, aging woman with no fashion sense screeching allegations and conspiracy theories.

If Democrats had any shame at all, they would be embarrassed by this.

Remember when Mitt Romney was an out-of-touch rich guy who gave women cancer, kept women in binders, tortured his dog, wanted to give gay teenagers bad haircuts, and was going to outlaw contraception and tampons as part of the ‘War on Women?’

Now that he is a certified Republican loser, Democrats seem to have changed their tune.

At @LATimesEvents Summit @NancyPelosi says, “Wouldn’t it be nice if @MittRomney was President today?!” Huge applause.

Yeah, right.

Speaking of Republican losers, in 2008, Obama attacked John McCain as a bitter old man who would “sow hatred and division“, who wanted to take social security away from senior citizens, and who was not mentally up to the job of president. But then McCain used his vote to save Obamacare, and then gave a speech attacking Trump and saying that (essentially) American leadership meant starting a lot of foreign wars and he was in favor of that. Now, they love him and think he’s a great statesman and “patriot.”

Update: Hey, even Chimpy McBushitler has found redemption in the eyes of the left… because he gave a speech attacking the current Republican president. As runningrn said.

The man who refused to defend himself while he was continuously attacked while in office and heard Obama criticize and blame him (while sitting in the audience even!) at every turn while destroying America, never said a peep. And then today, he unloaded on conservatives who voted for Trump and our President (without specifically naming anyone, but it was patently and painfully obvious). WTF!

Bush “unloaded” on the very people who defended him the eight years the left was comparing him to Hitler.

A Harvard Professor came up with a brilliant scheme to install Hillary as president, and Newsweek published it.

If number 1: If Trump is definitively found to have colluded directly with Russia, he would be forced to resign or be impeached.

If number 2: If Trump is removed, Vice President Mike Pence would become president.

If number 3: If Pence becomes president, he should resign too, given that he benefited from the same help from Mother Russia.

If number 4: If Pence resigns before appointing a vice president, Ryan would become president.

If number 5: If Ryan becomes president, he should do the right thing and choose Clinton for vice president. Then he should resign.

This is the stuff unhinged leftists fantasize about in their bedrooms at night.

Now, let’s compare this with genius lesbian Sally Kohn’s scheme to make Hillary president.

Straightforward from here:
1. Impeach Trump & Pence
2. Constitutional crisis
3. Call special election
4. Ryan v Clinton
5. President Clinton

And leathery celebrity-for-some-reason Chelsea Handler’s call for a military coup.

Every time I land in America, how much longer can these generals allow trump to cause so much damage? 25th amendment is there for a reason.

To all the generals surrounding our idiot-in-chief…the longer U wait to remove him, the longer UR name will appear negatively in history.

You know, NaNoWriMo is coming up, and the organizers of that event are definitively anti-Trump. Maybe these guys could write a nice 50,000 word fan fiction in which Trump is deposed and Hillary becomes President; and Huma Abedin becomes First Lady.

It might make them feel better.

Let the men into the ladies room, they said. What could possibly go wrong, they said.

A Wyoming man who identifies as a transgender woman is on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in a bathroom.

The trial for Miguel Martinez, who goes by the name Michelle, began on Monday, the Billings Gazette reported. Martinez allegedly invited the young girl into the bathroom with him where he allegedly fondled the girl’s breasts and genitalia, before penetrating her.

Nothing to See Here

Good for you, Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library . You really shocked the normals with your transgressive drag queen children’s hour. You really showed off your superior urban hipster values to all of the ignorant hicks in flyover country. After all, isn’t it the mission of the library to tear down bourgeois values? (In addition to providing a place for homeless people to watch internet porn). You will surely have something to brag about at next year’s American Library Association conference.

Next week, you can teach the kids how to take a knee during the pledge of Allegiance to virtue signal that you think the USA is a horrible racist craphole. Oh, wait. The Ann Arbor city council already beat you to it.

And in Massachusetts, tolerant leftists are striving to put a man out of business for declining to cater a gay wedding appearing in a photo opportunity with President Trump.  And NRA Spokeswoman Dana Loesch is being forced to move after other tolerant leftists threatened to harm her children.

This will have to pass for content. I am way too busy.

The Hoax that Is TrumpRussia

Posted by V the K at 9:06 am - October 17, 2017.

It’s always the same pattern: Big Splashy CNN headlines followed weeks later by an inconspicuous debunking of the Big Splashy Headline.

That story followed on the heels of another CNN “exclusive” about how “Russian-linked Facebook ads targeted Michigan and Wisconsin.”

This story began: “A number of Russian-linked Facebook ads specifically targeted Michigan and Wisconsin, two states crucial to Donald Trump’s victory last November, according to four sources with direct knowledge of the situation.”

It went on: “Some of the Russian ads appeared highly sophisticated in their targeting of key demographic groups in areas of the states that turned out to be pivotal.”

Had CNN finally found evidence that Russia tried, and might have succeeded, in swinging the election for Trump?

Hardly.

It was up to the Washington Examiner’s Byron York to provide the relevant facts and context.

He found that of the 3,000 Russian ads that Facebook turned over to Congress, most of them ran after the election and so could hardly be part of any “meddling.” The vast majority didn’t mention the election or any candidate. A quarter of them weren’t seen by anybody.

What’s more, out of those 3,000 ads, only a tiny handful targeted Michigan and Wisconsin, nearly all of them ran in 2015 — well before Trump was nominated — and most had fewer than 1,000 impressions.

In other words, there was nothing to justify CNN’s treatment of the story.

On the other hand, there is some evidence that the Obama Administration and Hillary Clinton were taking bribes from Russia.

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill.

The racketeering scheme was conducted “with the consent of higher level officials” in Russia…

Rather than bring immediate charges in 2010, however, the Department of Justice (DOJ) continued investigating the matter for nearly four more years, essentially leaving the American public and Congress in the dark about Russian nuclear corruption on U.S. soil during a period when the Obama administration made two major decisions benefitting Putin’s commercial nuclear ambitions.

Once Again, You’re Probably a Racist

We’re just two weeks out from Halloween. (Silver Shamrock!) And as we know, every holiday must be used as an occasion for virtue signaling and head tilty lecture from our leftist “betters.” So, here ya go… 8 Halloween Costumes That Are Actually Racist, Even if You Might Not Realize It.

The TL:DR version is… Gypsy, Voodoo priestess, Day of the Dead (unless you’re Mexican), Nazi, Rastafarian, Egyptian Goddess, Geisha, Border Wall.

Most of those costumes are lame anyway. And would a Nazi really be so bad if it were a ‘Dead Snow’ inspired zombie Nazi? Probably.

I bet it’s still OK to dress as a Communist, though.

In case you’re wondering, dressing up as Obama is OK if the costume celebrates his coolness and awesomeness, but if it is in anyway mocking or critical, then you’re a racist.

I did not make that last part up.

Apparently, there is such a thing.  The California legislature passed a bill that would have required religious organizations to bow down before the leftist state. Governor Jerry Brown vetoed it.

AB 569 “would have prohibited churches, religious colleges, religious non-profit organizations, and pro-life pregnancy care centers from having faith-based codes of conduct with regard to abortion and sexual behavior.”

Remember when the progressive left used to be against “legislating morality?” Doesn’t seem like that long ago, does it?

Apple Diversity Chief Makes Truthful Statement, Is Forced to Recant

Denise Young Smith, the humanoid in charge of promoting diversity at Apple, said something perfectly common sensible at some tech conference. This is what she said.

There can be 12 white blue-eyed blonde men in a room and they are going to be diverse too because they’re going to bring a different life experience and life perspective to the conversation.

This sent the social justice wankers of Silicon Valley to their fainting couches.

The phrase appears to allow for Apple to make diversity and inclusion hiring decisions based solely on diversity of thought. There’s nothing inherently wrong with diverse thinking, but treating it with primary importance eliminates the many benefits of a racial-and-gender-diverse workforce and many see it as, frankly, a complete cop-out in trying to solve a very real problem.

“Diversity of thought” has long been a lever used by critics of the concept of D&I work to push back against meaningful diversity efforts.

Diversity of thought is anathema to the social justice left. Everyone has to think the same way, and those who think differently must be silenced and punished. The only diversity that matters is skin tone, national origin, genitalia, and preferred use of genitalia.

Young Smith has been forced to denounce herself, and reaffirm that she loves Big Sister very, very much.

Last week, while attending a summit in Bogota, I made some comments as part of a conversation on the many factors that contribute to diversity and inclusion.

I regret the choice of words I used to make this point. I understand why some people took offense. My comments were not representative of how I think about diversity or how Apple sees it. For that, I’m sorry.

More importantly, I want to assure you Apple’s view and our dedication to diversity has not changed.

Understanding that diversity includes women, people of color, LGBTQ people, and all underrepresented minorities is at the heart of our work to create an environment that is inclusive of everyone.

There, now she’s thinking just like everybody else.

Diversity.

They All Knew

The Narrative the left is trying desperately to spin on Harvey Weinstain is that only a very few people knew about his behavior until courageous women, helped by courageous liberal journalists, broke the story last month. Hardly anyone in Hollywood knew. They were like German civilians who lived near Dachau and Birkenwald. “We had no idea what was going on in the camps. We noticed there weren’t as many Jews around, but we just thought they were on vacation or something.” Like Hillary, they were “shocked and appalled” when they “learned” what was really going on.

Here’s Courtney Love in 2005, blowing another hole in the “Nobody Knew” Narrative.

Here’s Kate Winslet, wanting you to know she was totes courageous for not thanking Harvey Weinstain when she won an Oscar in 2009.

Here’s Meryl Streep in 2017, sanctimoniously pontificating about Hollywood’s moral obligation to oppose those who abuse their power.

“This instinct to humiliate when it’s modeled by someone in the public platform by someone powerful, it filters down into everybody’s life ‘cause it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence incites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others we all lose.”

She was not talking about Harvey Weinstein.

She wouldn’t have dared.

Big Government at its Finest

This article explains the beauty of Democrat Run Progressive Government.

1. New York City has a bunch of teachers in their Government schools who are utterly incompetent, and even potentially dangerous.
2. They cannot fire them because of the powerful Teacher’s Union, so they pay them $150 Million a year to do nothing.
3. But now, to save money, they are planning on putting these incompetent and potentially dangerous people back into classrooms, and now the very, very best part
4. They are going to place them in poor and minority schools.

And, of course, the problem could be “solved” if the teachers union just got their hands on another nine-figure sum of taxpayer money.

Just wait until these people are running Health Care.

Democrats Moving Hard Left; Republicans Becoming More Centrist

Hey, it’s not me that’s saying it, it’s a study by the left-leaning Pew Research Center.

Pew found Democrats have moved substantially left on a variety of issues while Republicans’ views remain relatively constant.

“In nearly every domain, across most of the roughly two dozen values questions tracked, views of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents and those of Democrats and Democratic leaners are now further apart than in the past,” Pew noted.

NRO has a nifty little graphic that shows just how much the Democrats have shifted hard left.

Emblematic of this hard-left shift is the talk that ancient Senator Dianne Feinstein — a doctrinaire liberal — may be challenged by hard-left California hairpiece Kevin de Leon (of “ghost guns that fire 30 magazine clips per second” fame.) De Leon is so hard left he makes Bernie Sanders and Liz Warren look like … um… someone just moderately left-wing. Susan Collins, maybe.

When Dianne Feinstein was first elected to the Senate, she was decidedly left-leaning, Someone like Kevin de Leon would have been considered part of the radical fringe. He’s now quite the mainstream of a party whose activist core believes that equates Free Speech with White Supremacy and due process with rapists.

Personally, I’d rather see de Leon as President… of the People’s Democratic Republic of California.
