  1. Let’s see if I can predict the Obama cult response. Um… “All politicians lie. Bush lied. We hate Bush. We hate Palin. Hail Obama!.”

    Sound about right?

  2. Obama assuages white guilt. He’s the token that represents an historically under-represented population, a grievance that must be addressed and he’s half white, so he’s a child of the rainbow. Obama comforts those who live in fear during a Republican administration. He doesn’t embarrass Americans concerned about their collective image abroad (at least not yet). Obama provides masturbation material to those who’ve fantasized about the mythic powers of the Forbidden Black Man. He’s young and hip, dances with Ellen, plays basketball, and does all the other modern things a cool candidate does that press the buttons of a weary electorate. He’s now, he’s fresh, he’s fun. Campaign promises don’t matter, image matters. I don’t care what his ideas are, whether they are feasible or even legal. I simply feel we need to start a new, more inclusive chapter in the American Story. Obama feels good and his religious cadence touches my soul. Heck, his name sounds good. (It’s ever so much like ‘Abel’ and McCain is … well, ‘Cain’ and we all know how that turned out, don’t we?)

  3. :-o I can’t believe the conclusion of that last comment. This is the President of the United States we’re voting for. Not president of the senior class or recipient of the “most likely to stay ‘hip’” award. People, get you acts together. Good God

No matter how much you polish a turd, it’s still a turd.

Tim, I think he’s being facetious.
