We have a LOT more snow than that here — and we wouldn’t have closed schools for a little dusting like that.

Are you sure this isn’t George Bush’s fault????
Comment by PatriotMom — January 20, 2009 @ 10:21 am - January 20, 2009
This still doesn’t change the fact that almost every glacier in the country is melting, and the lower 48 states are projected to not have any glacial ice at all by mid century. England is now warm enough to grow wine grapes. Warm climate animals in North America are now being found up to 1000 miles north of where they used to be. Annual spring flowering plants are blooming two weeks earlier then what used to be the norm
Al Gore may be a twit, but something is up, and it isn’t good.

#3, using your (uncited, but since you are touting global warming, not surprising) numbers. We’re back to where we were in the 1500′s.
Wow, lets hear it for returning to the days of the Vikings and their SUVs driving to Vinland!
Comment by The Livewire — January 20, 2009 @ 10:50 am - January 20, 2009
#3 – Climate change isn’t necessarily bad. We just didn’t have alarmists on the cable news 24/7 in the 1500′s to know for sure how bad it was then.
Comment by GayPatriot — January 20, 2009 @ 11:26 am - January 20, 2009
Nicely put, Livewire. Algore disciples forget that the Vikings who colonized Greenland and Canada were perfectly capable of growing warm-weather crops in both locations, and in fact named Vinland as such because of the copious production of grapes.
Try doing that now in either Greenland or Nova Scotia. So what was warming up the atmosphere then?
Comment by North Dallas Thirty — January 20, 2009 @ 11:48 am - January 20, 2009
Global warming is a myth. Al Gore and his liberal cohorts are not in denial. It is really a smoke screen to move their liberal agenda to control people and things. Time magazine ran an article in the November 23, 1992 issue that some scientists stated that an ice age is guarenteed. In the May 29, 2008 posting of Lunchtime Liberty Update sent by the Center For Individual Freedom, there appeared an article that 31,000 scientist organized by the OISM (Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine) also believe that global warming is a myth and signed a petition that the U.S not sign the Kyoto Treaty.

After two feet of snow and a -15 degree morning in central Pennsylvania I fled south to Ft Lauderdale Fla. I’m begging Americans to fire up your lawn mowers, lite your char grills, all fill up our gas tanks on the same day. Let’s get some global warning going asap. Hopefully if we work together we can warm things up by next weekend.

#3 You gotta undate your info dude. 2008 was the coldest year in decades. The glaciers are now larger than they’ve been since 1978. Once again we must give thanks to Pres Bush for stopping and turning back global warming. Thank you Pres Bush.
Comment by Gene in Pennsylvania — January 20, 2009 @ 12:14 pm - January 20, 2009
Fewer and fewer Americans believe humans cause climate change. Common sense is slowly beginning to prevail.
Comment by V the K — January 20, 2009 @ 12:21 pm - January 20, 2009
Lots of young liberals get their global warming info from the ALGORE docu fib and the movie Day After Tomorrow. In the day after tomorrow, a hole in the atmosphere opens up and the space air comes down and makes things really really cold. So global warming leads to catastropic cooling. You get it don’t you?
Comment by Gene in Pennsylvania — January 20, 2009 @ 1:12 pm - January 20, 2009
“space air?”
You left out the part where New Jersey is over-run by CGI wolves.
Comment by V the K — January 20, 2009 @ 1:57 pm - January 20, 2009
“space air “is a scientific global warming term used in ALGORES docu fib.
funny huh?
Comment by Gene in Pennsylvania — January 20, 2009 @ 2:00 pm - January 20, 2009
“Climate change” not “global warming” is a better term for the phenom. But keep on fiddling…

“After two feet of snow and a -15 degree morning in central Pennsylvania I fled south to Ft Lauderdale Fla.”
I’m still in central Pennsylvania, it’s still cold (though a balmy 24 now), and there’s still lots of snow.
Just in case you were wondering.
Comment by rightwingprof — January 20, 2009 @ 2:38 pm - January 20, 2009
Yes, because everyone knows that before the invention of the SUV, climate was entirely static and never, ever changed.
Moron.

more hypocricy of the left.
http://blogs.wsj.com/wealth/2009/01/20/obama-inauguration-sets-record-for-private-jets/
Obamas inauguration….over 600 private jets fly into Dulles for the gala fest. More than doubling the previous record set in 2004. Supposedly glaciers are melting, polar bears close to extinction, dogs and cats…well you know what I mean. Yet Kevins friends haven’t gotten the message. Or maybe they have but just expect the trolls and the “little people” to do the spade work of solving global warming. 600 private jets…puzzling.
Comment by Gene in Pennsylvania — January 20, 2009 @ 4:59 pm - January 20, 2009
Too little space or time…
-They’ve always grown wine grapes in England
-There has been little mention of the sub-polar volcanoes that raised the temperature of the Arctic Ocean (and hence made less room for polar bears)
-Cooler winters in Florida
Hmm…

Ooooooh pretty! (well, except for the garish hot pink house. yikes). Too bad it didn’t come til after Christmas.
Comment by American Elephant — January 20, 2009 @ 8:38 pm - January 20, 2009
Have we redefined the word “fact”? Because glaciers are currently growing.
By the same computer models that cant come close to even accurately predicting CURRENT climate, let alone the future.
The SEA is freezing in northern Britain.
Al Gore is a twit, and what is up is called climate. It changes. It always has. And the changes are directly related to the sun, you know that big yellow ball in the sky from which all energy on Earth is derived? The warming that is now ended precisely followed increased sunspot activity, and the cooling that is now taking place precisely mirrors the absence of sunspot activity.
Please don’t be such a sucker.
Comment by American Elephant — January 20, 2009 @ 8:48 pm - January 20, 2009
By blaming “global warming” on industrial activity, the hapless twits who call themselves environmentalists have all but ensured that people will soon call for increased industrial activity as global cooling continues. Cold kills far more than warm does. And obviously increasing the “greenhouse effect” is the only thing we can do to warm things up.
I <3 irony.
Comment by American Elephant — January 20, 2009 @ 8:53 pm - January 20, 2009
Kevin must not have heard that Mars is experiencing the same global warming or climate change as mother earth. Now I’m no PhD but I quickly figured out the sun may have more to do with any climate change than 70 years of human industrial activity. Some of this isn’t all that hard to figure out.
Comment by Gene in Pennsylvania — January 20, 2009 @ 9:40 pm - January 20, 2009
Oh there are no humans on Mars, thus no man made global warming.
Comment by Gene in Pennsylvania — January 20, 2009 @ 9:41 pm - January 20, 2009
Changing the name doesn’t make it so either. Folks are catching onto the scam. No matter how much you polish a turd, Kevin, it’s still a turd and people can smell it.
That’s nothing. TPA is prepared to handle 1,200 for the game.
BTW, it’s currently 36º here in Lakeland (central Fl).

I was in Philadelphia on March 21, 2007, the first day of spring, and I´m freezing wearing a leather jacket, and avoiding walking on patches of ice and some snow that was on the sidewalk. A homeless man was saying, ¨global warming is a myth.¨ He is probably as much qualified to make that assessment as Al Gore´s scientists. For that he earned a cup of coffee from me.
Comment by Roberto — January 21, 2009 @ 11:51 am - January 21, 2009
Wow, what a funny way to poke fun a global warming theory. Very deep humor for a nine-year old.
You sure know how to rally the retards.
