A Curious Thing

October 29, 2014 by V the K

Voting Machines have been mysteriously turning Republican votes into Democrat votes. There’s something peculiar about it:

 • It only seems to be happening in Democrat-controlled areas of deep blue states, such as Cook County IL and Baltimore MD.
 • It’s always Republican votes turning Democrat, never the other way around

Ain’t that odd?

Republicans: “Repeal Obamacare? That’s Whackobird Talk.”

October 29, 2014 by V the K

Just in case anyone was laboring under the delusion that a Republican majority in the senate will do anything to divert the country from its headlong drive to the Progressive Socialist Abyss, Republican Senator has a few words for you:

“It would take 60 votes in the Senate, and no one thinks we’re going to have 60 Republicans [after the election] and it would take a presidential signature, no one thinks we’re going to get that,” McConnell said on Fox News.

Exactly as some cynics who have two thumbs and are pointing them at his own chest have said, the Republicans will use the excuse of a veto threat to justify doing nothing. (“Maybe we’ll try just repealing the medical device tax,” McConnell says. Oh, yippee.)

You will get nothing and like it.

Republicans don’t deserve to win. Democrats deserve to lose. That’s where we are in 2014.

Democrats: Our Base Is Stupid, Horny, and Potentially Violent

October 29, 2014 by V the K

Democrats are not running on their record in 2014. It’s not as if they can. Imagine if the entire Democrat campaign was based on the last six years of ‘Achievements.’ “Don’t you just love Obamacare? How about that border situation? And the economy, isn’t it just awesome? We sure did take care of that terrorism thing, didn’t we?”

They are also not running much on what they promise to do next. “With a continuing Democrat majority, we’re going to pass immigration reform and import 30,000,000 people who will work for less than you do. But don’t worry, we’re also going to jack up the minimum wage to $15.00. Anybody not replaced by a machine is gonna be living pretty darn high on that $25K a year they will be bringing home from that part-time job.”

Instead, in the final weeks, Democrats are focusing on engaging their base at a visceral level. And, based on the tactics they are using, a visceral Democrat is a stupid, horny, and potentially violent person.

 • In Colorado, a Democrat front group is appealing to the horny and stupid by running an ad claiming if Republican Cory Gardner wins the Senate race, he’ll probably outlaw birth control.  (Fact Check: Gardner has proposed making birth control pills available without prescription; pro-abortion groups like NARAL and Planned Parenthood oppose this).
 • In North Carolina, Cosmopolitan (a magazine aimed at stupid, horny older women) is running buses filled with shirtless male models to drive women to the polling places to help out Democrat Senator Kay Hagan. (Is this kind of corporate electioneering legal? Probably not, but who’s going to prosecute, the “Just Us” Department?)
 • In Georgia, the Democrat Party has distributed a flyer with the message that, if Democrat Michelle Nunn loses her senate race, violent Black people might burn down your neighborhood.

Your Democrat Party, ladies and gentlemen.

Churches Organize to Turn Out Democrat Vote

October 28, 2014 by V the K

In advance of the mid-term elections, African-American churches are organizing to turn out the African-American vote for Democrats.

Prominent black denominations and faith leaders like Rev. Cynthia Hale, Dr. Barbara Williams-Skinner and others are calling the final two Sundays before the election “Freedom Sunday” and “Turnout Sunday” and asking congregants to go to the polls, often with a Ferguson-motivated appeal.

Curiously, the “Separation of Church and State” activist crowd has no objection to this.

I wonder if any Democrat mayors will be demanding their sermons.

So, are lefties jerks? Or just narrow-minded?

October 22, 2014 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

HotAir pointed out yesterday that “Consistent liberals” are most likely to block others on social media for disagreeing with them politically.

Hence, my question. I’m honestly divided. In this complicated world, we’ve all known some lefties who are plain jerks, while some other lefties may be fairly nice people – apart from their never wanting to hear or know of any information that could make them question their prejudices.

I ran into the second kind of person just the other night, at my dad’s. “Cynthia” is a highly-educated neighbor in his retirement community, very nice in terms of watching out for my dad’s disabled girlfriend, and with a pleasant demeanor. So far, “not a jerk.”

But narrow-minded. As one example, she’ll dismiss (as in, will not hear) any information of Sarah Palin being anything other than a total dummy. Which is funny because the prominent Obama supporter and former “green jobs czar”, Van Jones, has now admitted in essence that the Left lied to people about Palin in the 2008 campaign:

“Sarah Palin .. people forget. She had the Democratic party shaking in our boots in 2008. She came out, she gave that speech at the convention. That was, hands down, one of the best convention speeches – not by a woman, by anybody in 2008. People were running for the hills…

Now it can be told! Now it can be told! We were scared!”

It must help the Democrats that their most officially ‘educated’ supporters are among their most dogmatically-gullible supporters. The Democrats can lie to such people and they won’t even care. For another example, we have President Obama’s recent admission that the Democrat candidates who are staying distant from him this year are engaged in a lie:

Well look, here’s the bottom line. We’ve got a tough map. A lot of the states are contested this time are states that I didn’t win. And so some of the candidates there – it is difficult for them to have me in the state…

The bottom line is though, these are all folks who vote with me. They have supported my agenda in Congress…These are folks who are strong allies and supporters of me, and you know, I tell them, I said, ‘you know what? You do what you need to do to win.’

Dogmatically-gullible people: They enable the Democrats to get away with it. Some of them are jerks, some of them are nice – but narrow-minded.

Texas Democrat Pitches to the LIV’s

October 21, 2014 by V the K

Pro-Abortion Fanatic Democrat (but I repeat myself) Wendy Davis, running for governor of Texas, is throwing everything she can at the Democrats’ low-information voter base and hoping something… anything… sticks. First, she accused her Republican opponent … who is confined to a wheelchair… of being hostile to handicapped people. Now, she is accusing her Republican opponent… who is in an interracial marriage, of being secretly opposed to interracial marriage. It’s like the accusation that Mitt Romney wanted to outlaw tampons, put women in binders, and give his dog a gay haircut; the LIV’s will believe anything and fact-check nothing.

Greg Abbott won’t say whether he’d defend an interracial marriage ban—troubling but not surprising from someone who defends a “poll tax.”

The thing that Wendy Davis is twisting to get to that misinformation biscuit is the evasive answer Greg Abbott gave to a gotcha question during an interview with a San Antonio newspaper.

When I said I wasn’t clear if he was saying he would have defended a ban on interracial marriage, he said, “Actually, the reason why you’re uncertain about it is because I didn’t answer the question. And I can’t go back and answer some hypothetical question like that.”

Asked about the similarities some see between the ban on gay marriage and past prohibitions on interracial marriage, Abbott said, “Well, the Supreme Court has disagreed with that” by holding that sexual orientation isn’t due protected-class status in the way that race is.

Bad answer, Greg. Maybe I can say this because I’m not a politician, but equating gay marriage and interracial marriage is an utterly false equivalence. Interracial marriages do not fundamentally alter the concept of marriage the way gay marriage does. Interracial heterosexual marriage maintain the unique and critical role of marriage in Western culture in binding families together, creating secure environments for the raising of children produced by the marriage, and providing fundamental social stability.

Gay marriage – as some of its advocates admit – is about fundamentally redefining marriage, gaining access to social benefits, and assuaging the egos of gays. Children and family are just props to get to the result. Traditional marriage is about what is best for the whole of society, gay marriage is only about what’s best for Teh Gheys.

(Yeah, I know, I’m on the losing side of the argument, just like the people in Salem who said, “I don’t think those girls are actually witches” were on the losing side of the argument.)

Whatever the affirmative case for gay marriage may be, it has nothing to do with civil rights, and is no way equivalent to interracial marriage.

Democrat Senator’s Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Interview

October 19, 2014 by V the K

Is there any reason – apart from the Democrats’ weird affection for dynastic political power – that this man is a United States Senator?

I have been told that it is rude and uncivil to refer to politicians by nicknames no matter how appropriate… but even the liberal press refers to this guy as ‘Mark Uterus’ for his single-minded obsession with ladyparts.

Charlie Crist Strikes Me as a Rather Odd Fellow

October 17, 2014 by V the K

You may recall how in 2010, former Florida Governor Charlie Crist was the choice of the Republican Establishment as the party’s candidate for Senator. He lost the party’s nomination to an upstart conservative named Marco Rubio.  No doubt if Crist had defeated Rubio, conservatives would have been told to shut up and support him because nothing was more important than loyalty to the party. Since Crist didn’t defeat Rubio, he ran against him as an Independent, and after losing, switched over to the Democrats.

Funny how that party loyalty thing only works one-way.

Anyway, Crist is running for Florida governor again, now as a loyal Obama Democrat. That’s not so weird, but he does have this peculiar thing about always needing to have a fan blowing on him when he makes a public appearance, which resulted in some “Only in Florida” weirdness at his gubernatorial “debate” with current Republican governor Rick Scott.

Charlie Crist, burdened with an almost pathological disdain for humanity’s untidiness, hates to sweat. This trait runs deep, and it was laid bare again last night in an utterly bizarre and totally hilarious bit of political theater that would only happen in Florida. Crist, who claimed to have something called “temperature issues” that can only be “addressed” with a fan, had installed a fan at his feet before the debate.

This was not to Republican Gov. Rick Scott’s liking for reasons that have not yet been fully explained. Scott refused to debate under any condition that would be fanned, giving life to what is now known as #fangate.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have an extremely peculiar situation right now,” the moderator said. ” … We have been told that Gov. Scott will not be participating in this debate. Gov. Crist has asked to have a fan — a small fan — placed underneath his podium. The rules that I was given by the Scott campaign says there should be no fan.” He paused. “Somehow, there is a fan there.”

Eventually, Rick Scott showed up and the debate went on but… pretty weird, right? Though not quite as weird as former Florida Senator Bob Graham who reportedly kept detailed journals recording the time, length, and consistency of his bowel movements.

Democrat Hit Piece FAIL

October 16, 2014 by V the K

A “journalist” working at Deadspin thought he had found his ticket to the Big Time. If you’re a “journalist” and you can add “Destroyed the career of a major Republican politician” to your resume, you’ve pretty much got a meal ticket for the rest of your life. So, anyway, this guy… his name is Dave McKenna… thought he had a great scoop that Republican Cory Gardner, senate candidate in Colorado (who is leading in the polls but not outside the margin of Democrat voter fraud) was lying about his high school football career. And, of course, a lot of other Democrat press operatives ran with the story.

Had Mr. McKenna bothered to ask the Gardner campaign… or even bothered to check one of the yearbooks from Gardner’s old high school, he would have seen that Gardner wasn’t making up anything. The entire hit piece was a lie, but very few of the Democrat press operatives who promoted the story have backed down or apologized.  Lies that serve the party and Obama are “good lies,” don’tcha know.
