In a Satirical Poem, Saudi Author Laments Conditions in the Arab World – Middle East Media Research Institute

Let me add one:  “When you see your partner hanging by a rope in a public square just because he is gay — you can be certain you are in an Arab country.” 

Now to Ian, Chet, lester and the other Bush-as-Tyrant Crowd… can you look yourself in the mirror and honestly say that any of those things are happening in the United States or other Western democracies?

You need to decide which side of this War you are on, folks.  American “progressives” have turned into nothing more than appeasers to Islamic terror these days.  I wonder if these same progressives, in 1939, would have shown the Storm Troopers the way to my home?

So desperate are Democrats — and some of their allies in the MSM — to prove their pet theory that “Bush Lied!” in pushing to liberate Iraq from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein than they will seize on anything substantiate this unsubstantiated theory.

No wonder they were so eager to embrace the now-discredited Joe Wilson. That one-time Kerry campaign aide claimed to have actual evidence that the president mislead the American people, claiming Bush had seen his report discrediting the famous sixteen words of his 2003 State of the Union address, “The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.”

But, it was Wilson who would be discredited. If anything, his report lent credence to those sixteen words. Last week, the news media and the left were practically giddy about a report from the Pentagon’s inspector general suggesting that in the run-up to the Iraq war, then-undersecretary of defense Douglas J. Feith drew “inappropriate” conclusions. But, the report also found that Feith (and his team) had done “nothing illegal or unauthorized.”* Still, in covering this story, The Washington Post relied as much on a partisan report as it had on the document itself, a fact the paper acknowledged in a correction to the article:

References to Feith’s office producing “reporting of dubious quality or reliability” and that the office “was predisposed to finding a significant relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda” were from a report issued by Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) in Oct. 2004. Similarly, the quotes stating that Feith’s office drew on “both reliable and unreliable reporting” to produce a link between al-Qaeda and Iraq “that was much stronger than that assessed by the IC [Intelligence Community] and more in accord with the policy views of senior officials in the Administration” were also from Levin’s report.

I realize I’m a little late in getting to this story as a number of bloggers have already covered it, e.g., American Thinker, Powerline and Hot Air and A Blog For All.

It’s an interesting serendipity that the MSM makes much of this report at the same time as the trial of Scooter Libby. Some on the left are still holding out hope that that trial would produce some evidence (not uncovered in an extensive investigation) that Administration officials were engaged in a conspiracy to destroy Wilson because he had shown that Bush lied.

NASA Found Life On Mars, And Killed It – CNN.com

Two NASA space probes that visited Mars 30 years ago may have found alien microbes on the Red Planet and inadvertently killed them, a scientist is theorizing.

The Viking space probes of 1976-77 were looking for the wrong kind of life, so they didn’t recognize it, a geology professor at Washington State University said.

Schulze-Makuch acknowledges he can’t prove that Martian microbes exist, but given the Martian environment and how evolution works, “it makes sense.”

To a scientist, I suppose a unicorn makes sense too?

Anyway, this is of course further proof to the Wacko Left that America is an evil nation and out to spread death and destruction across the galaxies…. and the War on Terror is just a cover for it.

Since an election is only fair and valid when the Democrats win, I’m going to now urge all Americans to help support our new liberal leaders in Washington.  Let’s all join hands and support (not my) Speaker Pelosi in her efforts to “catch the terrorists.”

I’m doing my part by adopting a terrorist.  It is actually easier than you think…. after all, the American Civil Liberities Union is representing and defending many of these cold-blooded killers right now.  So just pick up your phone and call to request your own terrorist by calling the local ACLU offices right now.  (ACLU link here.)

My Adopted Terrorist is named Ali.  I’m not sure if this is his real name or not, but it is the one I was told to use or else I’d be beheaded.  Ali is a radical Muslim who was born in the oppressed and destitute land of Saudi Arabia.  That really surprised me since most people stopped at the airports here are old women, babies with formula, and gay guys with hair gel.  As a matter of fact, I think I do recall hearing that 19 breast-feeding infants flew planes into buildings on September 11, 2001.  Ah, but I digress.

Unfortunately, I cannot show you Ali’s photo.  The Terrorist Civil Rights Union…er…. ACLU… says that showing his photo may jeopardize Ali’s prescence in the United States.  We wouldn’t want that would we?

Anyway, I spoke to Ali for the first time over the weekend.  He was very nice.  But I have learned that Terrorists have their own kind of language; almost like slang.   Instead of referring to me as “friend” or “buddy” like I did, Ali repeatedly called me an “infidel pig.”  Instead of talking about sports and the weather, Ali tells me that I’m going to hell and his knife will be my instrument of death.  I don’t know about you, but that is kind of cute isn’t it?

So in order to keep my Adopted Terrorist (I was sent a certificate of adoption by the ACLU and signed by Michael Moore!), I have to send Ali copies of the New York Times each day (apparently it is used as some type of instruction manual by al-Qaeda), send him half of my paycheck each week, and chop off one of my toes and/or fingers once a month.  Oh yeah, and I had to convert to Islam over the phone or he was going to murder my entire family.  At least I didn’t have to be held hostage with a gun to my head like those FOX News guys who recently converted.

I’m kind of excited though because this week, I’m meeting Ali to show him the new Spirit of America under (not my) Speaker Pelosi.  We are going to hold hands and sing kum-bah-yah while burning American flag.  He promised me if I did that, he wouldn’t drive a truckbomb into the shopping mall near where I live.

You see, folks, this new Democrat Strategy on the War on Terror will work just fine!  All we have to do is join the Adopt-A-Terrorist program and do exactly what they say.  What’s the big deal?

Alternate Universe Reuters is now reporting that top US officials confirm there was a near simultaneous terror attack on ten US-bound airplanes.  All flights were lost within 20 minutes of each other on their path from the United Kingdom to the United States.

AUReuters reports President Kerry will address the nation in a couple hours once he returns to Washington from the ”White House On The Cape” in Nantucket.  In a statement hurriedly released by the White House, Kerry says “if this was a terror attack, I will hunt down and kill the terrorists where ever they are.” 

He also expressed shock at the attack since he has personally been in constant UN-mediated negotiations on the “terror problem” with Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, North Korea, Sunni Iraq, and Syria.

In the wake of these first reports, AUBlogger Andrew Sullivan has sharply criticized President Kerry’s reponse to the War on Terrorists, as it is commonly known in the media.  On his blog, Sullivan posted …..

Kerry made a fundamental mistake after his withdrawal from Iraq in February 2005.   He became obsessed with Bin Laden.  But any fool knows that the terror problem is more than this one man.  Kerry has diverted all of the resources to hunt Bin Laden in caves, while thousands of other terror cells have been formed after the Iraqi withdrawal and civil war. 

All Kerry has done is cut and run out of Iraq and throw money at “First Responders.”  Last I checked, there were no “First Responders” at 35,000 feet!

I just heard this news on the Alternate Universe Cable News Network…. I’m not sure what’s happened….

But there are reports coming from multiple airports across the United States this afternoon that several US-bound flights from the United Kingdom have not arrived at their expected times of landing.   Many frightened family members are now flooding United, American and Continental desks at airports in Los Angeles, Boston and New York City.

AUCNN reports that President John Kerry has been escorted away from his summer vacation on Nantucket and will have a statement shortly.  Mrs. Kerry is said to be safe in Paris where she is in the midst of her fifth tour of the French capital this year.

AUCNN also reports that American intelligence officials say that air controllers lost contact around noon today with at least 10 flights originating in Britain this morning bound for US cities.
