Buried in heavy wet snow at HQ this evening (and almost trapped at SOUTHCOM today), I took some time and caught up with our Dear Leader and his backpacking trips throughout the world as of late.

Fresh off his stop south of the border where he blamed the drug mafia’s overrunning of a clearly impotent and/or corrupt Mexican government inexplicably on US gun laws, he followed on to the Carribian to attend the Summit of the Americas.

As an aside, by the way, the photo of him greeting yet another America-hater, Hugo Chavez of Venezuela is an interesting juxtaposition, don’t you think, with that of our then-First Lady cum Senate candidate and now Secretary of State with her gal-pal?

And let’s not forget the words of Chavez from less than two years ago:

The United States empire is on its way down and it will be finished in the near future, inshallah.

No doubt we’ll hear the president soon saying that “these words do not reflect the Hugo Chavez I know.”

But anyway…

Reading Obama’s words in Mexico, I got to thinking: Those who spend time on social networking sites are familiar with the “Countries I’ve Visited”-type applications that allow jet-setters (and humble military deployers) to show off all the fantastic places they’ve been. I decided to start one for the Big O. Below is a map of the world showing all the places President Obama has visited and trashed the United States. While he didn’t explicitly trash the USA in Saudi Arabia, the way he, as the leader of our Nation, subjugated himself in public to the throne of that kingdom, I’m going to count it. I’ll be back tomorrow if I need to add Trinidad and Tobago (which, unfortunately desipte its name only counts as one).

Please feel free to correct me if I’ve missed any.

A very helpful commenter reminds me of The One’s trip in February to Canada where he indeed did badmouth us. I’ve also had a couple requests to improve the quality of the map. Given that the Dear Leader is currently in Trinidad and Tobago, I know I’ll have to update it pretty soon anyway, so I’ll hold off for now on those improvements and just post a brand new one once he insults us all at the Summit. As for the concern about Germany, I don’t think I’ll count that as he was merely a Senator (do you remember when he was just a Senator?). It would be impossible to include his trips before being inagurated president since his destinations and words weren’t always in the public record back then.
Fear not, though. I’m sure he’ll be back to visit his constituency our friends in Europe soon enough. And when he does, he’ll be packing his disdain for us with him.

Max Boot takes New York Times columnist Roger Cohen* to task for faulting the Bush Adminstration’s relationship to Iran by constrasting it with alliance with the Soviets during World War II:

The reason that the U.S. allied with Russia in 1942 was that, notwithstanding the evils of its communist regime, the two countries faced a common existential threat in Nazi Germany. As soon as that threat disappeared, the U.S. and U.S.S.R. became mired in a decades-long Cold War. What common threat does Cohen imagine would bind the U.S. and Iran together? A Martian invasion?

So eager are some on the left to fault the Bush Administration’s foreign policy that they excuse despotic regimes merely because they’re anti-American and forget the context of the historical references they make.

*In Cohen’s Op-ed, he notes (with apparent delight) that Mohamed ElBaradei, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, referred to former Vice President Cheney “Darth Vader” twice in their interview.  Instead of finding pleasure in such a remark, a true advocate of international organizations would find it troubling that the head of such an agency would use the standard slur of the left to describe a past official of a democracy.  This shows a clear bias on behalf of ElBaradei and should concern those who wish his agency to prevent nations like Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Wonder if ElBaradei has equally harsh words for world leaders, current and former, like Iran’s leader who have advocated the death of nations and the murder of innocence civilians.

He insists of course that counter terrorism efforts will continue, but they sound purely defensive.  It sounds like he will respond after we are attacked instead of aggressively preventing an attack.  I may be misinterpreting that, but when he halts all efforts to find the terrorists who who are plotting against us before they attack, I’m not sure what else you’d call it.

President Obama yesterday eliminated the most controversial tools employed by his predecessor against terrorism suspects. With the stroke of his pen, he effectively declared an end to the “war on terror,” as President George W. Bush had defined it, signaling to the world that the reach of the U.S. government in battling its enemies will not be limitless.

Key components of the secret structure developed under Bush are being swept away: The military’s Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, facility, where the rights of habeas corpus and due process had been denied detainees, will close, and the CIA is now prohibited from maintaining its own overseas prisons. And in a broad swipe at the Bush administration’s lawyers, Obama nullified every legal order and opinion on interrogations issued by any lawyer in the executive branch after Sept. 11, 2001.

I never thought I’d think this, but perhaps the two friends I lost in the terror attacks of 9/11 have, in fact, died in vain.

That said, if the USA is attacked now – the fault clearly will lie in the lap of President Obama who has moved us back to the Clinton Era of Denial and political correctness in the face of a declared war on the US by the jihadists.

Say what you want, at least President Bush kept our nation safe.

Obama countered that the “problem with a spending freeze is you’re using a hatchet where you need a scalpel.” Isn’t that what he’s doing now, using a hatchet instead of a scalpel?

As a lifelong Caucasian, I am beginning to think the time has finally come to take the right to vote away from white people, at least until we come to our senses. Seriously, I just don’t think we can be trusted to exercise it responsibly anymore.

I give you Exhibit A: The last eight years.

In 2000, Bush-Cheney stole the election, got us attacked, and then got us into two no-exit wars. Four years later, white people reelected them. Is not the repetition of the same behavior over and over again with the expectation of a different outcome the very definition of insanity? (It is, I looked it up.)

Exhibit B is any given Sarah Palin rally.

Exhibit C would be Ed Rendell and John Murtha, who in separate moments of on-the-record candor they would come to regret, pointing out that there are plenty of people in Pennsylvania who just cannot bring themselves to pull the lever for a black man – no matter what they tell pollsters.

So, understand that I am saying all this for the good of the country and, in fact, for the good of those hard-working white people that Hillary used to pander to.

I know those people, I come from them. They are not some shameful abstract demographic to be brushed under the rug of euphemism by Wolf Blitzer and his ilk.

I have broken kielbasa with those people. I went to school with their children. I have gone to Sunday Mass with a deer-hunter hangover with those people. They are bitter with good reason, and they are armed because they are scared. They mean well, but they are easily spooked.

I fear for what is to become of them after the campaigns leave town for the last time, and Scranton and Allentown and Carlisle go back to being the long dark chicken dance of the national soul they were before the media showed up.

This is as racist and stereotypical of any hate speech I have ever seen.

Could you imagine the riots that would breakout at the New York Times and Hollyweird if a columnist in, say Atlanta, wrote “Black People Shouldn’t Be Allowed To Vote.” ???

Again, this columnist is one of the footsoldiers of the Obama Thugocracy.  He is willing to subjugate his own rights and freedom on behalf of The One.  Last I checked that was called socialism at the least, fascism at the worst.

The Ayers-Obama Media Primer

The Weathermen were not a 1960s group.
The Weathermen formed in 1969, declared war on “AmeriKKKa” (yes, that is where the popular spelling you hear in the rants of Rev. Jeremiah Wright and on left-wing political blogs comes from) in 1970, and carried out a string of attacks that finally ended with the arrests of the final remaining Weathermen, now called the May 19 Communist Movement, in 1985. One remaining Weatherman, Elizabeth Duke, is still a fugitive from the FBI and is considered armed and dangerous.

Calling the Weathermen a 60s terrorist group, when it did almost all of its bombing in the 1970s and 1980s, is as intellectually honest as calling Duran Duran a 50s rock and roll band because Simon Le Bon was born in 1958.

Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn are domestic terrorists.
They not an “anti-war activists” nor “radicals.” Activists and radicals organize protests and sit-ins and harass elected officials.

A person that uses a bomb instead of a ballot is a terrorist. A person that leads a group of individuals that likes to use bombs instead of ballets is a terrorist leader. As this particular group of terrorists waged war against their own country, they are called domestic terrorists.

Contrary to a meme being pushed by interested parties, the Weather Underground killed innocent people.
Brian V. McDonnell an officer with the San Francisco Police, was ripped apart by shrapnel Feb 16, 1970. He succumbed to his injuries two days later. Officer Robert Fogarty was permanently injured in the same blast. FBI mole Larry Grathwohl says Bill Ayers built the bomb, and that Bernadine Dohrn placed it on the station window ledge. Nyack, NY Police Officer Waverly Brown and Sergeant Ed O’Grady, along with Brinks guard Peter Paige, were killed in an armored car robbery that was a joint operation between the Weather Underground and elements of the Black Liberation Army in 1981.

In addition to their successful homicide bombings, the Weather Underground failed in several attempts at mass murder.
On March 6, 1970, a pipe-bomb being constructed in a Greenwich Village townhouse detonated, killing three Weathermen and causing two others to flee. Recovered amid the rumble were four 12″ dynamite-filled pipe-bombs and several fused eight-stick bundles of dynamite that had been destined for a non-commissioned officers dance that night at Fort Dix, NJ, targeting American soldiers and their civilian dates. The attack would likely have been the worst terrorist attack on American soil prior to Timothy McVeigh’s attack in Oklahoma City.

Lesser known mass murder attempts of the Weathermen that same year included the attempted bombing of the Detroit Police Officers’ Association, which Ayers wanted to occur when the building was fully occupied. An FBI mole within the Weathermen, Larry Grathwohl tipped police. A 13-stick bundle of dynamite was recovered and defused. A separate bombing targeting Detroit police foiled by Grathwohl involved 2 bombs, using 44 sticks of dynamite.

In 1984, Weathermen Susan Rosenberg and Linda Evans were arrested while transporting 740 pounds of explosives and a cache of almost two dozen weapons, including a submachine gun.

Barack Obama and Bill Ayers do not cross paths casually, but have a lucrative multi-decade relationship.
Barack Obama and Bill Ayers met no later than 1987, where the worked together in the Alliance for Better Chicago Schools. There is some speculation that Ayers and Obama may have met even earlier in New York, perhaps as far back as 1984, but that connection hasn’t been firmly established.

Ayers was instrumental in forming the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, and arranged for Obama to be chairman of the Board of Directors over more qualified Board members. Obama returned the favor by funneling more than a million dollars in grants to Ayers’ Small School Workshop. Obama and Ayers served together for years on the Board of Directors of the Woods Fund. Obama was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Joyce Foundation, which may have influenced several grants made to Ayers.

Barack Obama “didnt know the history” of Bill Ayers’ and Bernadine Dohrn’s terrorist past when he kicked off his political career in their home in 1995.
Barack Obama has known Bill Ayers at least since 1987, and perhaps as far back as 1983-84. Bernardine Dohrn, once publicly labeled “the most dangerous woman in America” by none other than J. Edgar Hoover, was also well known as the inspiration for the 1988 movie Running on Empty. Subtle terrorists they were not.

Both Ayers and Dohrn were very well known throughout Chicago for their role in the “Days of Rage” riots and their terrorist leadership, and were minor celebrities among the radical leftist community Ayers, Dohrn, and Obama shared in Hyde Park.

With [anti-American Venezuelan despot Hugo] Chavez at his side, Ayers voiced his support for “the political educational reforms under way here in Venezuela under the leadership of President Chavez.  We share the belief that education is the motor-force of revolution. . . . I look forward to seeing how . . . all of you continue to overcome the failures of capitalist education as you seek to create something truly new and deeply humane.”

Ayers told the great humanitarian Chavez: “Teaching invites transformations, it urges revolutions large and small. La educacion es revolucion.” It is that form of socialist revolution that Ayers, and Obama, have worked to bring to America.

Ayers, now a tenured Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, Chicago, works to educate teachers in socialist revolutionary ideology, urging that it be passed on to impressionable students.

This is the man who helped fund and launch the entire “idea” of Barack Obama-Politician.  Senator Obama needs to fully disclose AND explain his long ties to Bill Ayers, American Terrorist & Socialist.  Otherwise we are going to wake up in January with Bill Ayers, Secretary of Education.

If you’re in New York this afternoon, try to make it to mid-town Manhattan for a protest across the street from the Grand Hyatt Hotel, East 42nd St between Park and Lexington Avenues at 6 PM today.

There, a group of fifty prominent Jewish and Christian leaders, and public policy groups will protest a dinner meeting between Iranian president Ahmadinejad, anti-American U.N. officials and American religious leaders.

Yeah, you read that right, American religious leaders, including representatives of The American Friends Service Committee, Mennonite Central Committee, Quaker UN Office, Religions for Peace, and the World Council of Churches-UN Liaison Office will be breaking bread with a man who murders his own people.

He executes gay people too. I wonder if national gay organizations will question these groups for dining with the tyrant. I’d bet good money they’d be demanding apologies if these groups honored James Dobson in a similar manner.  I could find nothing on the web-sites of the Human Rights Campaign or the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF).  

Log Cabin Republicans, however, are co-sponsoring this protest.  At least one national gay group is standing up to the most anti-gay regime on the planet.

Not just that U.N. officials will also be there, honoring a man who threatens the destruction of U.N. member state, something which violates the organization’s charter:

Top U.N. officials are scrambling to figure out how to stop the president of the General Assembly, Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann, from dining with and honoring Mr. Ahmadinejad, who has violated an assembly resolution against denying the Holocaust and broken one of the cardinal rules of the U.N. Charter by calling for the elimination of a member state, Israel.

Why do so many Western élites embrace the most hateful anti-American leaders?  Why do they assume that if we just sit down and talk to our enemies, we’ll make everything better? As if it’s our intransigence that’s the cause of our adversaries’ angry attitudes, brutal policies and despotic acts.

Organizers of the Democratic National Convention announced on Tuesday that former Georgia Governor James Earl Carter, Jr., also known “Jimmy,” with a long anti-Israel record since his forced retirement twenty-eight years ago, will address the gathering next Monday, August 25.

Carter, who served one term as president from 1977-1981 before being defeated in landslide in the 1980 election, carrying only six states, has, since that defeat, blamed Israel for most of the problems in the conflict the Jewish State faces with the Palestinian Arabs.  Earlier this year, despite objections by his own nation’s State Department, the disgraced former president met with Khaled Meshal, a leader of the Hamas organization, in Syria.

The State Department has designated Hamas a terrorist organization.

He called Israeli treatment of the Palestinians,  ”one of the greatest human rights crimes on earth,” yet did not offer any such hyperbolic language to condemn the Palestinian authority which tacitly condones suicide bombings.  Indeed, the governing party of that authority, Fatah, is linked to a terrorist organization, the Al Asqa brigades.

Carter even ignored Israel’s right to defend its borders when it, in 2006, responded to attacks from the terrorist organization, Hezbollah, based in Lebanon, across Israel’s northern border.

If presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama wishes to assure voters of his commitment to the Jewish State, he will remove this anti-Israel speaker from the program of its party’s convention.

Wow.  Not only does our big-screen HDTV (sure to be outlawed by the Obama Regime) show the awesome color and detail of the Bejing Olympics — it also clearly highlights the collaborative language being used constantly NBC commentators toward the Communist Chinese regime.

Have they forgotten Tianamen Square Massacre?  This the same regime, remember.  The biggest violator?  NBC’s “China Expert” from Friday night’s Opening Ceremonies coverage:  Joshua Ramo.

The most jarring moment for NBC?  When the athletes from USA and Iraq got nearly as much applause as China’s team.  Wait!  I thought the world hated us?   Matt Lauer stuttered at the rousing USA welcome Friday night — obviously not knowing what to say.

Still, the praising of today’s China by NBC since Friday night is becoming embarrassing.  They are openly rooting for Chinese athletes against all others — including our USA Olympians.

Quite disgusting, but more and more typical and expected for the Peacock Channel.

Americans for Prosperity were there and confronted the liberal hypocrisy.  Or is it the Hypocrite Liberals?

We’re back from Al Gore’s big global warming speech, and boy did we have a great time! We had a dedicated band of taxpayer advocates out in force, pointing out the high economic cost of global warming alarmism – starting with $8 a gallon gasoline.

Of course, we saw plenty of hypocrisy — especially the fact that Gore didn’t ride his bike or take public transporation to the event.  He didn’t even take his Prius! Instead, he brought a fleet of two Lincoln Town Cars and a Chevy Suburban SUV!  Even worse, the driver of the Town Car that eventually whisked away Gore’s wife and daughter left the engine idling and the AC cranking for 20 minutes before they finally left!

Hey, if you think the car-idling is the best part of the video — WRONG!   The AFP folks peacefully confront Gore supporters and his limo driver and — well, you HAVE to watch it! I LOVE the woman who thinks a taxi cab is “public transportation”! ROFLMAO!!!

Hmmm, it took reading on Instapundit that it was US Senator Charles Schumer (DEMOCRAT-NY) whose latest reckless behavior two weeks ago (added to zillions of other examples before), caused the bank run at IndyMac which resulted in the Federal Government taking it over.   Funny how the MSM isn’t mentioning it at all in their saturated IndyMac coverage over the weekend.

So in addition to sparking fear among IndyMac customers, Senator Schumer has cost you and me (taxpayers) potentially billions of dollars from our pockets.

Way to go, jackass!  (Hey, it IS the Democrat Party mascot; Schumer is just representing it well.)

If the IndyMac panic sparks other bank runs, perhaps Schumer will be responsible for millions of other Americans panicking and sparking the return of Hoovervilles SchumerVilles.

The Obama who tries to lift up Americans, or the Obama who scoffs at them ?

The Obama who says he will only “tax the rich”, or the Obama who will tax anyone making $32,000 or more?

The September 10th Obama who minimizes the danger to our national security from the sworn enemies of America, or the Obama who sees the “great threat” in our post-9/11 world?

The Obama who rails against the Bush Adminstration for “violating” our civil liberties in their “war on terror”, or the Obama who voted this week for the Bush Administration’s FISA reauthorization plan?

The Obama-Politician who uses his children as political window-dressing, or the Obama-Father who thinks his own decision was bad?

“You know, I think that we got carried away in the moment. We were having a birthday party and everybody was laughing, and suddenly this thing cropped up. And I didn’t catch it quickly enough. And I was surprised by the attention it received, as well… We wouldn’t do it again, and we won’t be doing it again.”

Does this man have any inner moral compass to know right from wrong? Or even the ability to make a touch decision without vacillating about it the following day, or within the hour?

I think Rush Limbaugh has it right — Barack Obama is the first black Clinton.

At the recent African Union summit in Egypt, member nations failed to condemn Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe’s President-for-Life, for stealing the election from opposition candidate Morgan Tsvangirai. The union did pass a resolution “calling for him to negotiate with” the man who bested him in the initial balloting on March 29.

Some say Tsvangirai would have won that election outright, thus not requiring a subsequent runoff; a delay in releasing the final results (showing him winning a plurality, but not with the necessary majority) led many to believe that Mugabe’s government tinkered with the returns.

Because “of violence against his supporters,” Tsvangirai withdrew from the June 27 run-off, allowing Mugabe to win reelection unopposed. Reading that “monitors and much of world opinion” condemned that election “as violent and unfair,” I wondered if Jimmy Carter were one of their number as ever since the American people voted him out of office, he has made it his business to supervise elections around the world. Carter always seems to find them fair even when others find fraud, particularly in elections which keep anti-American leaders as happened in Venezuela four year ago.

The Carter Center did issue a release on May 23 faulting Zimbabwean authorities for preventing the “Zimbabwe Election Support Network (ZESN), a legally established and widely respected citizen rights group” to observe the elections and make sure they comply with the “country’s electoral laws, code of conduct, and international principles for election observation.”

But, Jimmy didn’t make much of an effort to send a team down there. Nor did the former Democratic president raise much of a ruckus when the Zimbabwean government refused to accept observers from his center, the European Union (EU) or from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Parliamentary Forum.

Given the fact that we had some news to report yesterday, I wanted to welcome any new readers that might be visiting GayPatriot.   You are welcome as long as you please wipe your feet at the door, and treat others as you wish to be treated.

I would also like to apologize for my near-AWOL status lately.   The ‘real job’ has consumed my work and spare time over the past few months.  Work travel (always a pain) is at a high mark, and I’m also in kind of a “pre-Convention blues”.  (Translation:  I mostly don’t give a rat’s ass about the election at any given moment).

However, on a very recent business trip I experienced something that I wanted to share.   It was a full-blown case of “Bush Derangement Syndrome” played out during a business dinner.   Most all of the guests had left and one very well-educated man remained.  I am confident in reporting that he is gay man and a (self-identified) liberal Democrat.  He is very educated and, until the alcohol-induced outbreak of the BDS, I found him quite entertaining and a rather enjoyable business associate.

But then he let loose.   Among the things he said (somewhat paraphrasing):  “Bush is evil.”  “We don’t know the true mastermind of 9/11.”  “It should be illegal for a successful oil company man to be Vice President.”  “Republicans are evil.”  “Republicans are stupid.”  “Most of Americans are stupid.”  “Most of the South are rednecks.”  “Republicans don’t give a shit about people.”

I swear it was like the Daily Kos had come to life and was sitting across the table from me.

The ironic part of this whole diatribe was that in the middle of all of this, this well-educated liberal Democrat called the waiter (a fellow Latino) a “cocksucker” in Spanish.   I only found out about this insult later when the waiter told those of us hosting the dinner.  Needless to say, I was mortified and apologized to the waiter who had worked his heart out during dinner service.

All this goes to show you that Liberals really are a case-study in “Do As I Say, Not As I Do.”

Mr. ManBearPig himself, Al Gore, has moved past his Nobel Prize fame and now earns a GayPatriot ”Profile In Courage” Award for finally bothering to endorse Barack Obama for President.

Gore resisted efforts to elicit his endorsement during the Democratic primaries, but he announced Monday in a letter to supporters that he intends “to do whatever I can to make sure [Obama] is elected President of the United States.” He also solicited donations from members of AlGore.com on behalf of Obama — the first time, he said, that he has asked his supporters to give to a political campaign.

How noble and sincere this Mr. Gore is!   He…really…makes…me……. cry.   Shame on us for not allowing him to steal the 2000 Election in selected Florida counties!

Maybe Algore took so long to endorse Sen. Obama because he was too busy upgrading his energy-guzzling house in Nashville.  (h/t – Instapundit)
