Feminist Films Her Own Abortion

An abortion counselor from New Jersey chose to film and post her abortion; hoping that her experience could encourage other women to have abortions.

Emily Letts, a 25-year-old abortion counselor at a clinic in New Jersey, knew that she wanted to use her own abortion story to help other woman making their own decisions about whether to end a pregnancy.

Her video, which isn’t at all graphic, focuses on the top half of her body. It shows her doing some deep breathing and humming during the short procedure, as well as talking things over with the staff in the room. “I feel good. I’m done,” she says after it’s over.

Sorta gives lie to the whole “We’re not pro-abortion, we’re pro-choice” line, doesn’t it?

The Left Really Is Pro-Abortion

Despite the social left’s repeated claims that “it’s unfair to call us pro-abortion; we aren’t in favor of the act of abortion, per se, but we support the idea that woman should have that choice, under any and all circumstances.”

A couple of items that tend to run contrary to that narrative. First, Alpha Feminist Amada Marcotte expresses her complete and utter contempt for babies and the women who choose to have them.

“I don’t particularly like babies. They are loud and smelly and, above all other things, demanding. No matter how much free day care you throw at women, babies are still time-sucking monsters with their constant neediness.”

On the topic of adoption, Marcotte sums up her feelings simply: “Adoption? Fuck you, seriously.” That’s a heck of an argument.

On the Progressive Left, motherhood and family are disdained; promiscuity, pr0n, and abortion are the emblems of female empowerment.

Second, a pro-abortion group in Washington DC is giving away coat-hanger pendants, so that people who donate $10 or more to… in the words of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, help keep down populations of people we don’t want too many of (i.e. minorities)… can show how proudly they support baby extermination procedures.

These just don’t seem consistent with the narrative of abortion being a tragic, deeply personal choice.

Update: A pro-abortion instructor at a California University is facing charges of assault and vandalism for attacking pro-life demonstrators at the university.

Every Child a Healthy and Wanted Child

A woman’s convenience must trump every other consideration. There should be no consequences to sexual promiscuity. If it means terminating some healthy, viable babies along the way… so much the better.

That is precisely the position advocated by the Pro-Choice Left.

[W]hen circumstances occur after birth such that they would have justified abortion, what we call after-birth abortion should be permissible. … [W]e propose to call this practice ‘after-birth abortion’, rather than ‘infanticide,’ to emphasize that the moral status of the individual killed is comparable with that of a fetus … rather than to that of a child. Therefore, we claim that killing a newborn could be ethically permissible in all the circumstances where abortion would be.

Who knewKate Mulgrew has otherwise been a flaming liberal. I may have to re-evaluate my mostly hostile opinion of Star Trek on Estrogen Voyager.

55,000,000 babies killed (women and minorities hardest hit) since Justice Hary Blackmun ruled in Roe v. Wade that abortion was unlimited in the first trimester… since expanded upon to “anytime, anywhere, for any reason a woman feels like it. (or as the left Orwellizes it, ‘safe, legal, and rare’). ” That’s a staggering number of human lives sacrificed in the name of unlimited, consequence-free sexual license. No one with a soul and functioning moral compass can contemplate that staggering amount of lives denied and not feel that something is deeply and terribly wrong.

Then again, leftists look at that number and think, “Not Enough.”

PajamaBoy Claims the Only Argument He Ever Lost Was Against a Gay Conservative

PajamaBoy – a.k.a. Ethan Krupp, a.k.a the result of drunken, unprotected fling between Rachel Maddow and Saturday Night Live’s Pat … Metrosexual, 1%er, archetypal Democrat male … claims that he only ever lost one argument… to a gay conservative.

“I sat in a pizza joint, chomping on meat-heavy pizza and slamming whisky sours with gay guys on Pride Parade day in Columbus, Ohio; My gay roommate and friends loved to ironically ‘bro-out.’ I love gays because they are all liberal fucks too,” Krupp wrote.

“Someone mentions politics and everyone perks up, distracted from the whisky. Equal rights get first dibs, followed by education and then sassy comments about closeted Republicans. Feeding off the energy, I introduce abortion: ‘Old men controlling women’s bodies.’ The guy who’s stayed silent, Chip, joins the conversation,” Krupp wrote.

Krupp claimed that he at first told Chip, a conservative on the abortion issue, that his “ignorant views come from his biological disregard toward pregnancy,” prompting Chip to explain a procedure by which fetuses can be removed from the womb, grown elsewhere, then given up for adoption.

“The whisky yelled at Chip for being a terrible gay man. Chip smirked, knowing full well he won the argument,” Krupp wrote.

Everything I read about PajamaBoy adds to the picture of a smug, leftist, phenomenal d-bag; the heart and soul of the modern Democrat party. I can believe he’s never lost an argument, the same way Keith Olbermann, Al Gore, and Rachel Maddow “never lose” arguments, by simply not debating conservatives.

Pro-Life and Pro-Gay:
My Reflections on the March for Life

I had the honor and privilege to be a part of this year’s March for Life today in Washington, DC.  GOProud organized a group and we were welcomed warmly, despite the frigid temperatures.

Despite the touch of Global Warming, the March was quite personally fulfilling to me.  I’m the one in the back, holding the sign, by the way.

Sometimes life has moments that you aren’t expecting and today was one of them.  Please note Michael, the man in front of me in the yellow coat.  He sought out GOProud today because, “I had to be here today.”  I spent a lot of time listening to Michael today and I hope that my listening was as helpful to him as his story was to me.

Michael spent the last two years in prison and now he’s trying to make things right.  He is gay and pro-life.  He ostensibly served his time because of  his principles.  Let me explain…

Michael’s sister was pregnant and her boyfriend gave her the funds to abort the baby.  His sister refused and instead used the money to buy clothes.  The boyfriend was so enraged that the baby hadn’t been aborted, that he threw Michael’s sister down the stairs, inducing a miscarriage. Michael stabbed the boyfriend in an attempt to help his sister.

I’m not in a position to judge Michael, that’s God’s role.  And I wasn’t told if the stabbing resulted in serious injury or death of the boyfriend.  But there is something admirable about a gay guy taking matters in his own hands to protect his sister from a violent attack.

Michael now makes the money he needs to live in a cheap residence by shining shoes.  After the March was over, Michael — with quite a lot of embarrassment — asked me if he could shine my shoes.  I told him that I appreciated the offer, but that I would give him the money he needed to stay in a warm home without the shoe shine.   He began to cry and we hugged each other.

Life is funny.  Which is why all life is precious.  And why the government should be protecting all rights of self-protection, not trying to restrict them or incentivize death.
