Alt Left, Alt Right (which we’re not), and other terms

August 18, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

As I noted earlier, language evolves (or devolves). “Alt Right” is now owned by the neo-Nazi/KKK types (whom we reject). It was once a label for the kicky, fun, we-refuse-to-keep-losing type of conservative. Legit. But in the last 12-18 months, the racists (who btw are socialists or crypto-leftists) inserted themselves and took it over.

I say, fine: Let the National Socialists keep it. Let’s never use it for ourselves. That’s a good thing. Because now we can brand the equally (or more) violent/nasty Left, as Alt Left. We can tell lefties, in all sincerity, Of course we condemn the Alt Right…and your stinkin’ Alt Left, which isn’t any better…and we expect you to join us.

Some say that Hannity introduced “Alt Left”, and President Trump picked it up. Whatever. Our own V the K says the term is not meaningful because, when you look at how CNN and NYT and WaPo and Democrats are justifying left-wing violence, it’s really the entire Left, without distinction. He has a point.

But that’s the beauty of it. We can call CNN, etc. the Alt Left Media (as long as they keep excusing left-wing violence). We can refer to any leftie who justifies violence as Alt Left, exposing their moral equivalence to the violent and/or racist people of the Alt Right. Anyway, I’m on board.

The kicky, fun, we-refuse-to-be-cucked type of conservatives seem to be re-branding themselves as New Right. I’m not on board there; I mean, the name is a bit weak and I think it has to be replaced with something better. What are your thoughts?

Peaceful March on Google, postponed after Alt Left threats

August 17, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

I mentioned last Thursday (before Charlottesville) that a 9-city March on Google was planned for Aug 19. Just to follow up, it’s postponed:

The Peaceful March on Google has been postponed due to credible Alt Left terrorist threats for the safety of our citizen participants.

Despite our clear and straightfoward statements denouncing bigotry and hatred, CNN and other mainstream media made malicious and false statements that our peaceful march was being organized by Nazi sympathizers.

Following the articles, credible threats from known Alt Left terrorist groups [were received]…

We hope to hold our peaceful march in a few weeks’ time.

We look forward to the day when the human right of peaceful Free Speech is once again able to be practiced in America.

Addendum about the march’s organizers: [Read more…]

Now, every 1st Amendment advocate is a Nazi

August 17, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

As V pointed out earlier, Now, Everybody Who Isn’t a Radical Is a Nazi. The same goes for First Amendment supporters.

Here is the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Among other things, it means that horrible Nazi-leaning citizens get to peaceably assemble and demonstrate. So do horrible Commie-leaning citizens (Antifa) – if it’s done “peaceably”.

And what does “peaceably” mean? It does NOT mean smiles, rainbows, unicorns, or coming all unarmed. Nope. It means:

  1. The demonstrators co-ordinate with local authorities to prevent problems. Including (but not limited to) them getting a permit.
  2. If problems occur anyway, they obey lawful commands to disperse (and can be prosecuted if they don’t).
  3. Others can show up and counter-demonstrate, but…
  4. those others have NO superior rights or authority. For example, counter-demonstrators have no right to attack. It is NEVER “understandable” or “justified” if they attack, no matter how odious are the demonstrators’ opinions, signs or speeches.

Under those terms: Nazis, KKK, or even Commies (Antifa) are allowed to assemble and do a little march. This is why, in 1978, the ACLU successfully defended the right of neo-Nazis to march in Skokie, IL.

Here’s the point: EVERY American, no matter their color or background or life experience, must accept this. Because, that’s America. It’s how America rolls.

Now, what happened in Charlottesville last weekend?

  • Various groups, not limited to white racists, got a permit to assemble in a park.
  • They began to assemble peaceably.
  • BEFORE anything bad happened – indeed, even before the start time on their permit – Democrat Governor McAuliffe declared them unlawful and ordered them to disperse.
  • Counter-demonstrators did not have a permit, assembled anyway and, by many first-hand accounts and videos, physically attacked the demonstrators as they were dispersing.
    • Correction: The counter-demonstrators were permitted for 2 nearby parks; still NOT the park nor the streets where the demonstrators were.
  • After an hour or two of that: one person, possibly with the demonstrators or possibly mentally ill, rammed a car into the counter-demonstrators.

Horrific as that final crime was, are those counter-demonstrators who attacked people somehow “understandable” or “justified” or “morally better”? Not under the terms of the First Amendment.

So, should President Trump call out the demonstrators alone and give them all the blame? Not under the terms of the First Amendment.

Either you support the First Amendment, or you don’t. If you do, then you have to put your focus on neutrally defending everyone’s First Amendment rights, as President Trump does.

This goes for the colossal dummies Rubio, Romney, McCain, and all you Democrats and SJWs out there. If you believe in the First Amendment, you’ll unite behind the President’s approach. If you don’t, we know the truth about you.

It’s time to remember your Constitution and rally behind First Amendment rights (and other rights, like due process) for all citizens, especially the ones you can’t stand.

UPDATE – Icing it: Atlanta leftie mob tears down a Peace Monument. Because, yes, mobs are that stupid.

Once more, the media lied to me

April 25, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

The last few weeks, I’ve explored the so-called “alt-Right” a little. Not joining it per se, just looking at material produced by people who are supposed to be it.

I keep having the same, strange experience. I’m told that these people are supposed to be neo-Nazi white nationalist fringies. But they aren’t! Milo, Mike Cernovich, the handsome Jack Posobiec, Rebel Media, Breitbart.com, Diamond and Silk, Jesse Lee Peterson – None of them are like that.

For sure, my search isn’t objective. When I come across some web site or material that starts to get racial – like, say, therightstuff dot biz – I go “Ugh!” and don’t look much further. Because assigning importance to race is dumb, whether it’s from the Left or the Right, I usually don’t want to waste my time on people/sites that do it. (Fuller comment in this thread.)

So I’m sure there must be some swathe of the alt-Right, somewhere, that gets racist. But again: left-wing protestors and media promised me that the names mentioned above would be that way… and they just aren’t.

As to the alt-Right: the names mentioned above talk about it in much the same way, like “I don’t know if I’m part of it. If it’s white nationalists, I’m out. If it’s challenging the Left / Deep State / Big Government / globalists in ways that are persuasive and fun, I’m in.” That’s roughly how I feel.
