Several big name Gay Rights groups — including the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Lambda Legal, and the National Center for Lesbian Rights — have decided to drop support for Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) — because it includes exemptions for religious organizations.

If they can’t force church to bow to state, then they’re not interested in ending “workplace discrimination.” (To the extent that it even exists any more, but that’s an aside.) This tends to validate certain incendiary critics who have argued that the real energy behind the Gay Left (Inc.) isn’t so much the advancement of Teh Gay Rights as it is smashing Christians in the nose at every legal opportunity.
