• Congress readies a bizarre resolution against WikiLeaks.

It is the sense of Congress that WikiLeaks and the senior leadership of WikiLeaks resemble a non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors and should be treated as such a service by the United States.

“Resemble”? The resolution is saying that if you *look like* anything Congress doesn’t appreciate, they can strip your First Amendment protections and take the U.S. to war with you.

WikiLeaks, remember, is non-profit journalist service. They publish leaks. The traditional, First Amendment approach is that *the leaker* commits a crime and can be punished, but *the journalist or publisher* does not. Someone wants an exception, it seems, for super-effective journalists whom the government can’t control.

    More from Julian Assange, here.

  • CNN endorses the undercover journalism of Project Veritas. Indirectly.

A journalist snowed Breitbart employees by pretending to be someone they would trust. The journalist gave the story to CNN, who gladly reported it. Very embarrassing. But that is undercover “sting” journalism, like what James O’Keefe and Project Veritas do, and CNN and many lefties fulminate indignantly about them. Can you spell h-y-p-o-c-r-i-t-e-s? 🙂

  • Google and Apple ban Gab (a Twitter competitor), censoring what you can do with your own phone.

“Whatever is permissible under the First Amendment is what Gab allows onto its site.”

…Gab’s Android app was available through Google’s app store until yesterday, when Google banned it, citing violations of its hate-speech policy…

While Android users can install unapproved apps, it’s a cumbersome process…

It’s difficult to credit Gab as a white-supremacist site when its cofounder is a Turkish Kurd and Muslim…who says “I’ve never supported Trump for a minute in my entire life”…

Google is being plain evil. They’re saying *you can’t use a non-Google app to say anything to anybody that Google would not like*. What’s next, Google censoring your private emails? Remember, email is a phone app.

  • Breitbart has more on Google’s other steps to punish conservative speech.

Flashback: When Facebook ex-employees admitted that Facebook routinely censors conservative news from their “Trending” section. Even if it was really trending.

Peaceful March on Google, postponed after Alt Left threats

August 17, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

I mentioned last Thursday (before Charlottesville) that a 9-city March on Google was planned for Aug 19. Just to follow up, it’s postponed:

The Peaceful March on Google has been postponed due to credible Alt Left terrorist threats for the safety of our citizen participants.

Despite our clear and straightfoward statements denouncing bigotry and hatred, CNN and other mainstream media made malicious and false statements that our peaceful march was being organized by Nazi sympathizers.

Following the articles, credible threats from known Alt Left terrorist groups [were received]…

We hope to hold our peaceful march in a few weeks’ time.

We look forward to the day when the human right of peaceful Free Speech is once again able to be practiced in America.

Addendum about the march’s organizers: [Read more…]

Now, every 1st Amendment advocate is a Nazi

August 17, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

As V pointed out earlier, Now, Everybody Who Isn’t a Radical Is a Nazi. The same goes for First Amendment supporters.

Here is the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Among other things, it means that horrible Nazi-leaning citizens get to peaceably assemble and demonstrate. So do horrible Commie-leaning citizens (Antifa) – if it’s done “peaceably”.

And what does “peaceably” mean? It does NOT mean smiles, rainbows, unicorns, or coming all unarmed. Nope. It means:

  1. The demonstrators co-ordinate with local authorities to prevent problems. Including (but not limited to) them getting a permit.
  2. If problems occur anyway, they obey lawful commands to disperse (and can be prosecuted if they don’t).
  3. Others can show up and counter-demonstrate, but…
  4. those others have NO superior rights or authority. For example, counter-demonstrators have no right to attack. It is NEVER “understandable” or “justified” if they attack, no matter how odious are the demonstrators’ opinions, signs or speeches.

Under those terms: Nazis, KKK, or even Commies (Antifa) are allowed to assemble and do a little march. This is why, in 1978, the ACLU successfully defended the right of neo-Nazis to march in Skokie, IL.

Here’s the point: EVERY American, no matter their color or background or life experience, must accept this. Because, that’s America. It’s how America rolls.

Now, what happened in Charlottesville last weekend?

  • Various groups, not limited to white racists, got a permit to assemble in a park.
  • They began to assemble peaceably.
  • BEFORE anything bad happened – indeed, even before the start time on their permit – Democrat Governor McAuliffe declared them unlawful and ordered them to disperse.
  • Counter-demonstrators did not have a permit, assembled anyway and, by many first-hand accounts and videos, physically attacked the demonstrators as they were dispersing.
    • Correction: The counter-demonstrators were permitted for 2 nearby parks; still NOT the park nor the streets where the demonstrators were.
  • After an hour or two of that: one person, possibly with the demonstrators or possibly mentally ill, rammed a car into the counter-demonstrators.

Horrific as that final crime was, are those counter-demonstrators who attacked people somehow “understandable” or “justified” or “morally better”? Not under the terms of the First Amendment.

So, should President Trump call out the demonstrators alone and give them all the blame? Not under the terms of the First Amendment.

Either you support the First Amendment, or you don’t. If you do, then you have to put your focus on neutrally defending everyone’s First Amendment rights, as President Trump does.

This goes for the colossal dummies Rubio, Romney, McCain, and all you Democrats and SJWs out there. If you believe in the First Amendment, you’ll unite behind the President’s approach. If you don’t, we know the truth about you.

It’s time to remember your Constitution and rally behind First Amendment rights (and other rights, like due process) for all citizens, especially the ones you can’t stand.

UPDATE – Icing it: Atlanta leftie mob tears down a Peace Monument. Because, yes, mobs are that stupid.

How many New Yorkers salivate over Trump assassination? This many

June 18, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

Laura Loomer and Jack Posobiec disrupt a performance of that Julius Caesar we’ve been talking about:

It’s inspiring – Jack gets out the words “The blood of Steve Scalise is on your hands!” – but what struck me was, the packed house. Does Shakespeare in the Park draw that kind of crowd, normally?

Laura was arrested; you can help her defense fund at freelaura.com (scroll down).

She discusses it all at length with Stefan Molyneux. After seeing it in person, she agrees with his suggestion that the staging is intentional, graphic, bloody “assassination-orgy porn” recalling ISIS tactics. (So much for any comparisons to that 2012 production in which an Obama-like Julius Caesar was handled with dignity.)

The Face(book) of Evil

June 13, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

The Right-o-sphere is rife with personal stories of Facebook, Google/Youtube and Twitter either de-monetizing, restricting, throttling, censoring or banning conservative and libertarian voices.

Facebook seems happy to do it – while allowing Islamists the run of the place, to the point where PM Theresa May called for Internet censorship after the recent Islamist mass murders in Manchester.

Earlier this year, Mark Zuckerberg said:

[Terrorist attacks are] carried out with a goal to spread fear and distrust, and turn members of a community against each other. I believe the only sustainable way to fight back against those who seek to divide us is to create a world where understanding and empathy can spread faster than hate, and where every single person in every country feels connected and cared for and loved. That’s the world we can and must build together.

This is so misguided that, coming from a nominally-intelligent man, one must almost wonder if some evil force possesses him? Because it happens to be what the wolf would say to the hounds if it could; or what Satan might say when cornered.

Newsflash, Mr. Zuckerberg: terrorist attacks are carried out with a goal of killing infidels and establishing the supremacy of Islam. Period. You have to admit a problem’s true nature, before you can solve it.

I don’t want to “fight back against those who seek to divide us.” Because that makes zero sense. Anyone who ever does anything good or new, or who takes a stand (be it true or false) on anything, “seeks to divide us.” It happens. It makes much more sense to fight back against those who seek to subjugate and/or kill us.

The terrorist losers use your own platform, Mr. Zuckerberg, and it’s not clear if you make much effort to stop them. Much less, an effort greater than what you put into stopping U.S. conservatives, or other critics of Hillary or the Big Government that you love so much.

Recently, a Pakistani man was sentenced to death for alleged blasphemy – on his Facebook page. Facebook claims innocence; “we do not provide any government with direct access to people’s data. We will continue to protect our community from unnecessary or overreaching government intervention.”

But I don’t know if I can believe that. Because:

  • Pakistan asked Facebook’s help to fight blasphemy.
  • Reports exist that Facebook assisted them.
  • Which are credible because of Facebook’s track record. When Angela Merkel pressed Zuckerberg to crack down on posts critical of Germany’s Muslim refugee crisis, he told her yes, they’re working on it.

Is Facebook an accessory to Pakistan’s judicial murder of Taimoor Raza? We need to know. I couldn’t find any recent statement about it.

And of course, that Facebook would ever give a hoot about anti-Jewish or anti-Christian blasphemy is unimaginable. (As it should be; the point here is Facebook’s extreme double standard.)

Right now it appears that Facebook puts WAY more into stopping conservatives and libertarians – people who stand for life and liberty – than it puts into stopping various kinds of Islamic murderer. That’s evil.

Hat tip Steven Crowder. By the way, his Painting Muhammad video is must-see.

Kathy Griffin fired, but is that enough?

June 1, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

CNN has fired Kathy Griffin from their next New Year’s Eve program. As V noted earlier, she posed for a so-called ‘artist’ with herself holding a blood-drenched, beheaded effigy of President Trump. In a single image, she managed to align herself with Islam (or ISIS imagery), Satanism (or satanic imagery), and assassination of the President of the United States.

To his minor credit, Anderson “Vanderbilt” Cooper tweeted “For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.” (Minor because it’s something he should have done hours faster, and perhaps an understatement.)

It remains to be seen whether Hollywood and the Left will actually shun Griffin, or rehabilitate her once the dust settles? After all, the first reaction of a CNN panel (led by Jake Tapper) was a dismissive “We’ve got much bigger issues to focus on.”

And indeed, they do. After all, CNN is the Home of Fake News, such as:

  • proclaiming that Hillary is somehow healthy and a lock to win the election;
  • pushing the fake/scripted views of a seven year old as a serious reason for the U.S. to make war in Syria; and
  • pushing evidence-free, anonymously-sourced innuendo against Trump.

But maybe CNN’s dismissive, first reaction didn’t focus-group very well?

The whole thing got me thinking about denunciations in general. After all, conservatives and libertarians are supposed to denounce every little thing done by every little kook – or else we somehow are that thing. Recently,

  • Jacob Schwartz was arrested for child pornography. He isn’t a nobody. He is a longtime Democrat activist and staffer. His father is a huge Democrat donor and insider, having served as an Obama delegate and a lawyer for Bernie Sanders, the SEIU and ACORN (remember them?).

Young-ish Jacob allegedly possessed graphic images of a 6-month old baby being raped. He was a top staffer to NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio. Schwartz also appeared on Chris Cuomo’s program on CNN (them again!). Hillary’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, can be seen standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Schwartz – or at least he could, before Schwartz’s arrest triggered Democrats into disappearing the inconvenient photo.

My question is, has Robby Mook denounced Schwartz, in no uncertain terms? Has Hillary Clinton? Or the DNC? Or CNN? Has Chris Cuomo indicated his regret at having Schwartz as a guest? I couldn’t find any such statements.

Each of them, who has not yet done such a statement, therefore supports pedophiles and pedophilic rape – if we apply the Left’s usual logic about these things.

  • Marina Abramović is another left-wing “artist” who promotes imagery and practices that are awfully reminiscent of Satanism, with that Spirit Cooking thing she’s into.

John Podesta is, of course, one of THE top Clintonites, as he was Hillary’s campaign chair and her preference for Secretary of State.

It’s known that Podesta was invited, on warmly intimate terms, to a private Spirit Cooking “dinner” that his brother Tony probably attended, and which Podesta himself may have attended.

Has either of the Podestas denounced Satanism, or at least Abramović? Has Hillary Clinton denounced either of the Podestas? I don’t think so.

Again, apply the Left’s typical logic of you-are-clearly-for-that-bad-thing-if-we-don’t-agree-that-you-have-denounced-it-enough, and see where it would go, here.

  • And don’t get me started about Antifa – and the failure of many lefties to denounce their violence.

So, firing Kathy Griffin from a New Year’s Eve program that was going to happen in 7 more months: is that enough? Or should we call for more? If yes, what?

UPDATE: She says “I went too far, and I was wrong.”

Umm, “too far” in what? When I go too far, it’s because I love something. I ate too much chocolate or lemon pie. I tried to power clean too much weight. So, if Kathy “went too far” in making visible her fantasy of beheading the President and soaking his head in the blood, then deep in her soul, she loves…??? Something about this is still “off”.

The New Civil War

May 22, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

For the last 100 years – and, especially for the last 8 years under President Obama – more and more Americans have become feckless dependents of government.

They may be rich, middle class or poor. They may depend on government benefits, or on special favors written into our laws and regulations. Or they may be politicians and bureaucrats and government workers, deciding the fates of other people and taking paychecks a good deal larger than what most of them could get in the private sector. They may be journalists taking cash payments from the CIA, or billionaires with extensive government contracts.

And they are indeed feckless. They gladly believe and spread the most ridiculous things on zero evidence. For example, they choose a criminally dishonest politician (Hillary Clinton) to be president. When she doesn’t quite win the election, they gladly believe and spread rumors that the guy who did win is a Russian spy – on zero evidence, again – and chant “F*ck [him]!” at important political conventions.

On the other side are ordinary Americans who more-or-less believe in God, common sense, and supporting themselves through work. Again, they may be rich, middle class or poor. They choose 2 business people in a row to be president. The most recent one might not be a great role model in some ways, but at least he says sensible things in a forthright, unafraid manner. When he wins the election, he sets himself to the task of reviving America’s economy and manufacturing base – only to be undermined by the vast army and bureaucracy of the feckless government dependents, spreading their nonsense.

It’s a mortal conflict. And one side knows it: the feckless government dependents. Because America is fast reaching the point where it can’t afford to support them any longer. They, the cancer, are about to kill the host. They, the cancer, must be controlled and cut back – so that the rest of America can survive, and perhaps revive a little.

They, the feckless government dependents, know it deep-down. And, being out-of-control like any late-stage cancer, they are desperate to deny it and to continue a system – their own system – that promises to extract every last drop of life and treasure that can be extracted from normal Americans.

It’s Producers vs. Looters. Understand that the Producers are people of all classes and walks of life. Likewise, the Looters are people of all classes and walks of life.

And so we arrive at the political struggles of the last seven months. President Trump isn’t perfect. I did not support him. I still don’t support him, whenever and wherever I may disagree with him. But, somehow (and although I never wanted it), he became a leader for the Producers – or at least for the opponents of America’s looting, criminal Establishment. Imperfect Mr. Trump is the president we’ve got. And the vast army and bureaucracy of the feckless government dependents are determined to destroy him.

Thus the endless, utter nonsense they spew each day. I’m not sure what to do about it. I know that supporting Trump blindly will not help. But tolerating nonsense will also not help.

The only thing I know how to do, that might help in some tiny way, is to keep telling the truth as I see it unfolding around me.

Or posting links.

  • Kurt Schlichter rightly calls the last several months of nonsense a ‘coup’ attempt against the People’s lawfully elected President.
  • As does William A. Jacobson.
  • Stephen Kruiser on the media’s new lows in the Age of Trump.

Schlichter sums it up well: “Someone came to Washington who wasn’t part of the club, and that’s intolerable. So they are desperate to expel him, and by extension, us. Every day will be a crisis, every action he takes will be the worst thing that has ever happened, and every step towards keeping his promises a crime.”

Each day, let us dedicate ourselves anew to rejecting the nonsense. And to offering truth, in its place.

The Left Actively Seeks Violence

April 28, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

It’s last year’s news, but worth remembering. George Soros, Hillary Clinton and the DNC paid (and probably still pay) protestors, not only to turn out and carry signs or chant slogans, but also to instigate violence.

Via Rush.

It’s on people’s radar in the last day or so because The Washington Post now says, who cares if these left-wing protestors are paid shills? So, what? Which is a shift: the Controlled Media used to simply deny that these left-wing protestors were paid shills.

Antifa: A Terrorist, Criminal Conspiracy as dangerous as the Mafia

April 27, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

Terrorists are people who:

  • won’t fight as part of a regular military; and who
  • mainly attack others who are not part of a regular military (that is, civilians); in order to
  • intimidate people into accepting (or not dissenting from) the terrorists’ political viewpoint.

Guess what? That’s Antifa.

Antifa is also a conspiracy to commit crimes. As one of our fine commentors recently suggested, they may be compared to other criminal conspiracies. Here’s my take.

  • On the one hand, Antifa “only” plans crimes of felony assault and vandalism (that could get out of hand and become manslaughter or murder, semi-accidentally). In that way, they’re a bit less dangerous than the Mafia (which plans specific murders).
  • On the other hand, many of the Mafia’s crimes are intra-Mafia. Not so with Antifa, ALL of whose crimes are directed at the larger society. In that way, they’re more dangerous than the Mafia.

Where is the FBI, on Antifa? Or the Department of Justice?

Lefty wet dream: Using the power of government to crush dissent

November 5, 2014 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

Recent years have seen a disquieting affair in American politics. It seems that a certain local official – a conservative, partisan Republican – decided that he hated a leading Democrat in his State. The Democrat’s policies threatened the official’s wife’s job. The official and his wife joined in public protests against the policies, but not merely that. The official went on to use his office to harass a bunch of liberals with over-investigation.

This Republican official only ever found some minor offenses where the leading Democrat was not at all implicated – but it didn’t stop him from continually widening his secret investigation of the hated Democrat, his staff, and many of the State’s liberal advocacy groups.

The investigation included police raids on liberal staffers’ homes which frightened their families, seized their equipment and forced large legal bills upon them, with the victims kept under gag orders (where they couldn’t protest the raids). Plus the convenient (and probably illegal) leaking of their documents. It worked: One side of the political advocacy in that State was hindered, if not paralyzed.

Does that sound more like Nazi Germany than America? Yes, it does. By the way, the persecuted “Democrat” was Scott Walker, the Republican governor of Wisconsin. The persecuted “liberal” advocacy groups were conservative supporters of his policies. And the “Republican” doing all that persecuting was John Chisholm (D), Milwaukee’s pro-union District Attorney.

George Will and William A. Jacobson have written about this matter. The legal fallout is still happening (and will doubtless go to Wisconsin’s Supreme Court). Thus far, the fallout includes both federal and State judges who have been outraged by the sheer one-sidedness and/or groundlessness of many of Chisholm’s actions.

Since Walker just won re-election by seven points, we know that Chisholm’s tactics didn’t work – this time. But, regardless of who won, Chisholm has undermined the legitimacy of American government. Walker’s opponent, Mary Burke, has done all she could to keep Walker under a cloud for the mere fact of Chisholm investigating him. And if Burke had won, she would now be under a cloud for having won illegitimately, by exploiting governmental suppression of her opponents’ voices.

I’m sure that some honest lefties remain in this world, who are outraged by Chisholm’s actions. But many other lefties will find it A-OK. Using the power of the State to crush dissent against leftism: it’s what some of them dream of. After all, it’s what Lois Lerner apparently tried to do (when she had the IRS target conservatives), and it’s what many lefties abroad have practiced for generations.

UPDATE: Outrageous ‘John Doe’ prosecution of Scott Walker supporters in Wisconsin ends. Along the way, WI’s Government Accountability Board admitted that the investigations were legally “indefensible”. And yet…they happened. Heads ought to roll. Will they? At least some of the victims are pursuing a federal civil rights lawsuit against Chisholm.
